More cons than pros in the updated pathfinder

Pros- love the matte gray color. Interior is comfortable Trunk is roomy for have a 3rd row on a smaller SUV. Cons- No 2nd row bench in higher trims, so I had to settle for a lower trim to accommodate my family. Main screen constantly glitches. Was told the recall would fix that but it still glitches. -back up screen freezes, phone calls won’t end and stay frozen on the screen, etc…. Dealership wants to charge almost $3000 to install tow package -which was unavailable to me as a stock option due to the bench row seating issue previously mentioned. Gas MPG is abysmal. Averaged 16 mpg on our last road trip. The BIGGEST issue- transmission keeps locking up. Have literally almost been in 4 wrecks when I’m driving along and my car just starts vrooming like it’s stuck between gears. Dealership said it’s not throwing error codes and no other reported problems so they don’t know what to fix. It’s scary and makes my $45000 2022 pathfinder all but undrivable because it don’t know when or where it will happen to me next.

22 Pathfinder SV Premium

I love everything about the Pathfinder except the pro pilot has issues. When driving near a semi, the SUVs pro-pilot will sometimes feel like it turns off and on simultaneously (it shows it is on) which then makes you feel like you are battling it from either hitting the semi or the opposite side of the ditch. It can be very scary. I would never allow my teenager to drive on the interstate with it for that reason alone. If you are distracted for even a second and this happens, it will definitely cause an accident easily.

Needs Work!

The passenger seat is so low that the sun visor is not usable. You can't see over the hood line. The driver's seat is also too low for me, but not as bad as the passenger seat because you can adjust the height in the driver's side. The quality of the back up camera is horrible, very blurry. The drive is very rough, it really seems like it's worse in the passenger seat, possibly because it feels like you're sitting on the ground. The side mirrors are too high and cause an issue with visibility. The seats are just so uncomfortable and can't get them to a comfortable position. The transmission seems to shift rough in low gears. The key fob will not work unless you are basically touching the vehicle. The app rarely works either. Just too many things that I paid extra for on the SV that don't work, very surprised. I really thought they made better quality products than this. Dealers are useless for any issues as well. They tell you they will get with Nissan and then never get back with you. The heater does not get to the correct temperature and there is no air coming out of the feet vents. It's very very loud also. It sucks because I love the look of the Pathfinder and the size and had high hopes, if they would just fix these issues it would be great. They should have put a little more thought into quality control before releasing. I do have to say the AWD was really good in the ice. There are many areas for storage. I want to love it, but just can't get over the features that don't work.

Not impressed with 2022

I bought the new pathfinder hearing they put the 9speed Transmission and supposed to be off road worthy. Currently it's been back in the shop for faulty start/stop failure once and they couldn't explain why. First started at 680 miles now 2800 its off and on my display screen. Using on a gravel road going to my farm the rear suspension makes lots of clunking. Towing mode should shut off drivers assit back up feature.... in short it doesn't and very difficult backing a trailer up with small mirrors, emergency breaking, can't even open the door to look backing either. The emergency drivers assist even breaks with blades of grass. Very very annoying and not easy to disable as you have to scroll through multiple screens to turn off..... then still have the dash busser while trying to back up. Paint is beautiful when new but doesn't take much to scratch. The interior cloth catches every little thing. The plastic interior panels scratch very easy also. Pros is the gas mileage is much better than my 2010 at 17mpgs Third row nice Price was decent for 4wd sv

New 2022 Pathfinder is awesome

I've owned 4 different Pathfinders in the past 20 years, and I can tell you that 2022 is by far is the greatest of them all. Gotta mention that none of previous models gave any headache neither, just regular maintenance. My new 2022 SV (base model, no premium package) is full of tech gadgets and safety features like ProPilot, lane assist, automatic emergency breaking, Blind spot intervention and many more. Ride is extremely comfortable and quiet. Fuel economy I am getting is around 25 MPG in mix of highway/city which excellent by my standards for pretty large SUV like Pathfinder.Yes as other people already mentioned auto-start/stop feature is useless and causing jolting of the tranny/engine and to remediate that, every time I start engine, I got into habit to turn this feature off by the button in center console. Couple of things I don't like: 1. Towing package is a part of Premium Package, because of this, instead of costing $700-800, you gotta cough up $2100. 2. The reason I bought SV without premium package is because I MUST have a bench seat on the second row. Premium Package come with captain's chairs. Captain's chairs and Tow Package should be sold like any other dealer-installed accessory. In general, I am VERY happy with purchase.<br>
