Be aware of Transmission/Fuel Problems

We are having a problem with our radiator coolant leaking into our transmission just like most 2005 yr models are having and also had to replace fuel sending unit (like other also). Both of which are a design flaw on Nissan's part and they are trying to get away with it and not own up to their responsibility. This is a costly repair- 471 for fuel sending unit and 6000 for new transmission/ 1200 for new radiator. So as you can see you can go out a purchase a very good used car for that. Nissan take care of your customers!

So 2 months ago vehicle started slamming into 1st gear than Im driving home and it starts having trouble switching gears. I go home start researching transmission 05 nissan. I come across this website hear all about the radiator fluid leaking into the transmission. its gets towed to aamco and sure enough transmission is rusted out due to radiator leaking into transmission!!!!!!!! WTF recall this now I have to pay $370 a month for my payments plus $5300 to fix this problem!!! Now im driving my husbands beater to get around and we cant go anywhere as a family because our family vehicle is in the shop!

We bought this car used with 118,000 miles on it a week after purchase the transmission went out a week or so after that the fuel injectors went out. Then a month after purchase the fuel pump went out. We are now around 145,000 miles and thank god have been issue free for a year. Due to the previous issues we are scared to take anywhere longer than 4 hours away. If you live in a snowy state and have the 4x2 RWD then prepare for the worst winter of your life. You will slide if there's a little bit of slush or ice, if your down hill and stopped then make sure you have plenty of car length in front of you, because your car will slide at a complete stop. Not to mention braking on a little bit of snow or slush will cause you to slide as well. If you have two kids in car seats you can forget about getting anyone in the third row. Plus one adult is lucky to get to the third row and if you can it's not comfortable. She is a nice car on the outside but design and reliability gives this SUV 2 stars

worst bumpers ever

Cheap plastic inside and outside - everything inside breaks - plastic covers on the side of the seat broke, central storage bin in between passenger seat and drivers seat also broke. But the worst things is the bumpers - for a car of this class - a big suv, these bumpers are very flimsy.. Minor things will cause them to break, crack, tea and lose paint. Horrible. Cd player broke - cd's get stuck. Also the whole car makes noises - squeaking and rattling everywhere. Dealer said it's normal and couldnt fix it. Horrible gas mileage 12 mpg city / 16 highway, made no difference if putting super, premium or regular gas.
