2025 Nissan Frontier Consumer Reviews

Back to Nissan
Just traded a 2019 Tacoma for a new Frontier Pro 4X. I switched to Toyota from three Nissan's in a row mostly because I liked the looks. Was very unhappy with Toyota's performance, mileage, and the fact it left me stranded in the heat three times in a row (vapor lock due to a poorly designed fuel pump). Also the ride and shifting were always choppy. The new Frontier is largely a Toyota clone in the exterior looks department. Peformance-wise, it's miles ahead in ride and power. The back seat still isn't useful for much more than kids and groceries, and I'm still learning to navigate the tech features, but I haven't found a bell or whistle missing. If you're looking for a mid-sized pickup, drive this one last, you're going to be at the dealership until they hand you the keys.

Best Midsize Truck. PERIOD.
I looked at Chevy Colorado, Toyota Tacoma, Honda Ridgeline, Ford Ranger, before buying the Nissan Frontier Midnight Edition. All of the midsize trucks I looked at had useless bells and whistles (that added to the overall price of the truck) except the Nissan Frontier. It's a TRUCK. It drives like a truck, rides like a truck, has the power of a truck. It does have a few nice things tech wise, but just enough and nothing useless.

Current Cream of the Crop
The Frontier is packed with features and has the looks to match. Compares very favorably to the new GMC Canyon Denali and is much higher build quality than my 2018 Tacoma SR5 which I gave to my son. Doors sound solid when shutting and I love the acceleration of the V6. The transmission doesn't seem confused like on the Tacoma. So far, on my highway commute I'm getting 25.4 mpg. Not too shabby!

A truck that does everything well
I got the 2023 Pro 4x withe the Pro premium, technology, Pro convenience and towing packages and I’m loving it so far. The ride is very good for a four wheel drive truck. I’ve been getting 19 mpg combined and 23 on the highway. As I said in my review title, it does everything well. It’s got great acceleration and l really like the way it looks. The Fender stereo sounds great and everything in the cabin is laid out well. Could not be happier with my purchase. Don’t pay attention to the major car review sites, they don’t like anything that isn’t a turbo. There are plenty of other reviews out there that really like the Frontier, I highly recommend the Pro 4x.

A Truck That Will Get You Places
Don't listen to the "expert" review on this vehicle. I just finished taking my Frontier on a 5,000 mile road trip out west through 10 different states. Up and down mountains, through windy roads, and some rough unpaved roads, and it performed great. Here are some key highlights about the truck: 1. This might be the most comfortable vehicle I've ever drove in. I drove 15 hours straight with it a few days and never felt tired or sore. But if you're tall, I could see the lack of telescopic steering wheel being a problem. But the seat itself is comfortable and sits up high enough that your knees don't get sore. 2. The V6 performance is great. This thing has the acceleration of a spots car. I once passed 4 vehicles going up a steep 2-lane mountain pass no problem. 3. Fuel economy was pretty good for a truck of its size - I averaged about 23 mpg on my road trip and that was mostly driving over 5 mph over the speed limit. I once averaged 30 mpg on a 300 mile stretch through Utah, and 25 mpg on a 300 mile stretch through Wyoming. 4. The controls for the climate control and stereo are in good placement, and this is where the "expert" is most wrong. Many other new vehicles only have their climate control and stereo controls on the touch screen, but this truck has actual dials for them, which makes it easy to change while driving, compared to other new vehicles that only have them available on the touch screens. 5. The one thing that concerned me the most about the truck was the 9-speed transmission, as that many gears seems overkill, but that's just the way all vehicles are being built now. And compared to other new Fords and Toyotas I drove, it actually shifts really well and doesn't bounce between gears that much. As long as you maintain the same speed with city driving, it will usually hold the same gear driving in the city. And on the highway, with leaving it in cruise control, it almost always stays in the 9th gear, the only exception being if you are going up steep inclines, then it will down shift which is normal for any vehicle. 6. The steering is a bit heavy, but I actually like that compared to other vehicles with lighter steering, as it makes highway driving easier. It is a great vehicle to take on road trips - smooth ride on the highway, decent fuel economy, comfortable, lots of room. If you are thinking about buying one I wouldn't hesitate. And it's a great value for the money - starting price was only $36k and by the time I got the features I wanted, it only cost me $40k brand new, which is cheaper than what you can get most lightly used trucks for.

Best in class value
Nissan dealers are discounting these now. Frontier was remodeled in 22MY (first sold in 21). Its competitors are all going to be newer in a few months. Dealers know they’ll have to be the bargain to sell. And it is! I paid several thousand less than every other comparable apples to apples midsize out there. And got a decent rate too (less than CPI). So it is now for sure the most affordable body on frame. It’s also a nice truck. Great to drive. Heavy old school steering’s feels real nice. Solid power train. Engine is powerful enough. Transmission is smooth. In 24MY I think it is also the smallest body on frame truck in width and length which comes in handy in tight spots. Tech is enough. It has Apple CarPlay. The latest and greatest safety features like emergency pedestrian braking. If you want your screen to take over the interior though this is not the truck. Downsides. MPG is avg 20 (manually calculated). I’d probably have gotten 22-23 in Ranger 2.3. Steering is a plus for me, others might not like it. It’s back to bring the old midsize in 24MY. So it’s not the cool kid anymore.

Underrated and very capable truck
I have a 2023 Pro 4x. I love the truck. I like its simplicity, hydraulic power steering that feels heavy but in a good way. Seats are comfy, the cabin is quiet and it has enough tech to keep it modern. The 3.8 V6 is quick enough for my needs, the 9 speed is smooth. I have added an oil catch can as the engine is direct injection. No telescopic steering wheel, rear seats are too upright, rear and side camera quality are just ok. All said, it is a great truck and enjoy everytime I drive it. Off road it is very capable and competent. The TSB bulletin update for the transmission sorted the harsh shifting.

2023 Nissan Frontier Pro4x
Love my Frontier Pro 4x. The V6 has good power and acceleration. The gas mileage has been about 20MPG average. I love the looks of the truck and have had a few people say they like it as well. The interior is well laid out and the Fender stereo is very good, highly recommend. Wish it was a little bigger inside but it does fit easily in my garage.

Best Mid Size Truck
The 2023 Nissan Pro-4x is the best mid size truck on the market. Provides a smooth ride yet rugged enough for off road adventures and full-size truck duties. Acceleration is exciting and the mpg is a class leading 25mpg,

Solid Truck with a great facelift !
Superb design, Engine has the strongest HP vs competitors, strong towing capacity, 9 speed transmission is super calibrated and smooth, steering wheel is tougher like a real truck and high speeds feels very comfortable. Interior design is mix of modern and old, cabin is quiet, very quiet. Nissan brought a great Frontier in 2022 and in my opinion not well reviewed because majority of people want to pay for Ipads and Speaker in their cars (cheap chinese stuff that is overpriced!). If you want a mid size TRUCK, old school modernized, hydraulic steering wheel, go and test drive the Frontier. You will confirm it is not honestly ranked as deserved. The only one to be compared is Tacoma (Hi-Tech) and the NEW Ford Ranger. Chevy is below.
Rides like a bigger truck
I've had my 2024 Nissan Frontier SL for 7 months and each day I enjoy it more. Others who have driven it often comment on how smooth the ride is. It rides like a full-size truck. If I could add one improvement, is that it come with a front cam for ease of parking. The auto engine shut off took so getting use to, but I rarely seem to notice it now. Overall, it was everything I thought it would be and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solid mid-size truck

It's a truck that still is a truck
I'm tired of reviews putting tech features and creature comfort over functionality. The Frontier is a truck that does truck things, as it should. I traded in a '22 Tundra (full engine recall anyone?) and that was basically a minivan with an open third row, I hated that it couldn't do truck things. The Frontier has simple, basic controls (read: limited touch-screen controls), rear leaf springs (no bouncy coils), hydraulic power steering vs the no feedback drive-by-wire crap and comes with a longbed option in the offroad package - no other manufacture has that. The Frontier is a solid vehicle at a great price point by today's standards.

2024 Pro 4X Surpassed my expectations
I was looking at a 2023 Tacoma, Drove it, priced it and was about to sign when I saw one of these in the dealer lot next store. Went over, looked at it, drove it and priced it. Was still a little unsure. Went home read the reviews, watched a ton of YouTube videos on it (both positive and negative) and realized all the hate on this truck is mainly because people buy this truck expecting it to be something else. Do your research before you buy people! If you want a comfortable, quiet, well performing mid size truck that drives and acts like a truck at a decent price, then this is the one for you. “The steering is heavy” “the buttons are in weird spots” “the interior doesn’t look too modern”. Why do you need a truck then? This had more features than the Tacoma for quite a bit less money. Bought it, been driving it, love it. The fender audio system is awesome, it tows my boat and trailer without issue but most importantly it acts and feels like a real truck, not something trying to be one. Also the NA engine will last longer than any turbo charged engine all the competitors are using. All round fantastic truck that does truck things.

Great all-round truck and value
I had two cars (19 BMW X3 and 21 Tacoma SR5) one of which I rarely drove so I decided to trade both in and upgrade to a truck that had more features for all round driving comfort and fun. I have been doing a ton of research and ultimately settled on a fully loaded Pro4X. No other mid sized truck comes close to all the functionality and creature comforts for the money. Pros: Strong 6 cyl engine; great blend of buttons, dials and technology; solid build quality; quiet ride for a truck; all round just a competent, comfortable, fun truck. Cons: steering is stiff due to hydraulics but I don't mind; prefer electric window in bed; be nice if passenger seat adjustments were electric; underseat storage is minimal with Fender base. I could probably come up with more but they are all nitpicky. It's a true truck and worth the money.

Nice truck
Really like the truck, hope the 9 speed transmissions holds up well. I pull a 20 foot boat with it with no problems. I like the old style power steering gives it a truck feel when driving. Biggest issue is trying to figure out how to turn off rear emergency brake when putting boat in the water (lol). Not a real big fan of the GDI wished they would have installed extra injector to keep carbon from building up.

Workhorse Truck
Comfortable seating with a lot of get-up and go. Much better than my previous 2018 Silverado 1500 LT. Smooth ride and shifting in 9 speed automatic. Had no problem hauling 6,500 pound RV. With a mix of highway and city driving I average 20 MPG. Trackson on gravel and dirt roads makes it fun to drive.

BEST TRUCK ON MARKET RIGHT NOW!
I got the pro 4x in April then decided to take a trip to Georgia and South Carolina from Indian. 10+ there and back not including the driving around I did. It drove great and had 0 problems with it. And I’m not a big truck/car guy so I just drove it down with out checking oil and stuff. Absolutely love this truck in rough terrain and snow. There are complaints about the steering wheel but I don’t get it. My cousin (who is a mother of 3 and out of shape) drove it too and she said she didn’t feel anything. So don’t understand that. But a great truck with a V6 that has a good track record currently. Highly recommend!!!

First frontier after 6 tacomas
I actually love my LS the ride and the many upgrade features. Especially the very best sound system I have ever heard! Loved the durability of my Tacomas but not so much the features or sound system ( I had all up grades)
More people need to consider this truck!
If you like old school simplicity and good old fashioned solid construction this is your truck. No turbos, just a reliable naturally aspirated 6 cylinder power plant. Lots of metal parts where the competition uses plastics. Comfortable and solid ride. Reasonable pricing. Good looks. This is an uncomplicated truck that I am sure you will love.

Poor quality
Nothing it’s been in dealers service dept since I bought it. Which has been a month and a half. Vdc aeb rab lights came up day one, no driver assistance menu comes up, no technology features work. Nissan seems to have a hard time figuring out the problem, To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Nissan corporate has no answers and I’m stuck with a piece of crap with no end date in sight. I have had fords, chevys, and rams all good tucks. This is my first and LAST Nissan

Good looks, bad drive, worse fuel economy
I downsized from a 2020, 4 wheel drive 3.5 ecoboost F150 that was giving me all sorts of IWE problems. The Ford yielded much better fuel mileage than the Frontier. I drive very conservatively and hand calculate my fuel mileage. F150 averaged 20.5; Frontier 18.4. I struggle to get 400 miles out of the Frontier's 21.1 gallon tank. Out of the F150's 36 gallon, I was able to achieve 700+ miles with relative ease which was fantastic since I like to road-trip. I'm 6'5", so take this next part with a grain of salt: On the test drive of the Frontier, I found the seats to be relatively comfortable for a pickup truck. I quickly learned that on trips of over 150 miles, I need to invite my chiropractor along with me because my lower back is aching pretty good afterwards. I've tried adjusting the seat up and down, forward and backward as well as the manual adjustable lumbar (which is a joke at best) and I cannot get comfortable in this truck on longer drives. The truck looks cool, which is about its only redeeming quality. I do like how the LED headlights stay on when you activate the turn signal. Most manufactures have the headlight on the particular side your active the turn signal go off to make way for the turn signal usage itself. When the turn is complete, the turn signal goes off and the headlight comes back on. That drives me nuts but the Nissan Frontier is one of the only vehicles that doesn't do that. Good job Nissan. The interior layout is decent. I like the mix of old school analog and physical buttons meshed nicely with the touch screen. As for the wireless Apple Carplay: it connects when it wants to. When you desperately need it to display apple maps, of course it won't connect then. Another knock is the front window defrosters. In the wintertime, you'll need to have the truck warm up for about 15 minutes before you're able to either see anything or adequately scrape the window off of snow and ice. For a truck with an MSRP of $44,445, you'd think you'd get some heated seats, but you don't. Driving impressions: mostly good, sometimes terrifying. On the interstate with adaptive cruise, with the slightest incline, the transmission downshifts 3 gears, screams at 6000 RPM just to maintain speed/gain back the 2 MPH it initially loses. That can't be good for the drivetrain long-term. Also, around a corner with a bump at any speed over 20 MPH, if you hit said bump on a rear tire, the entire ass end of the truck kicks towards the outside of the turn ever so slightly Nissan also did a good job in the bed. DO NOT GET THE FACTORY SPRAY ON BEDLINER. It can easily peel off on brand new trucks. My truck didn't come with one. I paid the extra coin for LineX. The bed itself is very usable and not full of any unnecessary gimmicks like other manufacturers have. The tailgate doesn't always want to lock when you lock the truck. The physical key for the tailgate works every time, though. Now to the fun part: My 2023 Frontier with 1848 miles on it (at the time) wouldn't start when I was leaving work one Monday afternoon. The key fob unlocked the doors, I got in, pushed in the brake pedal, pushed the button and the dash lit up as normal, the fuel pump audibly cycled and the truck acted like it was on... but the engine never even attempted to turn over. Long story short, I had an awful customer experience with Nissan overall in terms of not letting me have a loaner vehicle for a brand new truck that wouldn't start. The dealership I bought it from did me good, but the one it was towed to initially (closest proximity to breakdown) raises my blood pressure just thinking about the situation... but this isn't a review about Nissan's questionable business practices... this is a review about the pickup truck, which I was without for a total of 9 days (without a loaner vehicle for 2 of those). The skinny of said issue was this: the truck somehow disconnected itself from the key fob for the starting mechanism. I was still able to lock and unlock the truck (remote start did not work either). Nissan replaced the TCU for it and reprogrammed it and the truck still didn't start for them. That dealership contacted the Nissan engineering team and they somehow had to reprogram things differently; then it worked! Overall: I do 100% regret this purchase. I will be trading the Frontier in within the next year of writing this review (7/28/2023) on either a Toyota or Subaru product

I can do with out telescope stirring my Subaru had it I never used it . The ride quality is excellent rides like a jaguar s-type heavy and smooth.. plus I’m reading some guy got a million miles out of his Nissan frontier and no rust .. didn’t think I would like the bolder gray I ended up loving it . Didn’t want heated seats or heated stirring wheel or sun roof or leather and saved a ton of money.. hot spray in bed liner.. and love that the tail gate power locks back slider window was a must . . Toyota is making junk anymore I’m disappointed with them plus there going to a 2,7 turbo won’t buy a turbo love the frontier has a 3.8 V6 310 hp and 281 tork this engine will last a life time ..

Ours was a COMPLETE DUD
I can't say enough about this truck (and unfortunately it is ALL negative). This was a purchase for the wife after having a previous Frontier with a spate of problems. I'll just add this info and let it go. 1498 miles on a new 2024 Frontier, driven the night before with no issues, parked overnight and the wife tried to crank it the next morning. Instrument panel lit up like a Christmas Tree - oil pressure warning, AT (automatic transmission problem), keyfob problem, etc, etc. Will not start - will not do ANYTHING. Call dealership and have it towed to dealer (yet another pain in the butt experience). They check it - TRANSMISSION FAILURE as far as they know. They've never seen or heard of something like this (as info I'm writing this as protection on lemon law). If it FAILS with a major component at 1500 miles you can't convince me that this hunk of metal is not a lemon/dud. In a nutshell we're now fighting the dealer who has "since they care about customer service" offered us a purchase/replacement for an ADDITIONAL $3500. Let's add insult to injury - tell me its $3500 for 1498 miles, try to coat crap with gold and try to convince me to have ANY confidence in the (pending repair) vehicle. We're at a loss on this and this may be one in a million (wouldn't that qualify right out of the gate as a LEMON) and investigating what "rights" we don't seem to have, etc. My answer is biased but I'd assert BUYER BEWARE on these from my personal experience.

Very capable vehicle.
Traded in a 2011 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab since I didn't need a full size truck any more. The Frontier handles and rides very well for a pickup and the 3.8L engine has plenty of power, even if you have to wind it out a bit. I was a bit leery about the 9 speed tranny but it has worked fine with only a hint of rough shifting in very cold temperatures. Still, would've liked it if Nissan offered a manual. Gas mileage is pretty much what the EPA rating says. Not bad for a truck. Accessories I've added include a bed extender and a hard tonneau. Both were easy to put on. Only minor nits to pick. Some of the controls are in odd or random out of the way locations. Not a big deal; No vehicle is perfect. I've gotten used to it. Overall, a really nice truck. No problems whatsoever after 22000 miles.

Great underrated pickup.
Although Tacoma and some inferior american trucks get all the attention, frontier will soon emerge the winner. Comfortable quite ride, plenty of power, and looks great. I've owned some of the competitors before, but this one by far is the best affordable truck I've owned. Ps. I've recorded a 27.2 mpg on my drives to LA from SD.

Love the Look
My decision to purchase the Frontier was its distinctive look and I could get the long wheel base. When I test drove the Frontier, my thought was something was wrong with the power steering on the test vehicle because it did feel like the steering was powered. Salesman informed me that nothing was wrong with the steering and that is by design. So after 6 months of ownership, I'm building up some arm strength driving this truck. The biggest negative for this truck is the lack adequate headlight illumination. I had to change out the halogen headlight bulbs for some LEDs. My 3 Star rating is mainly based on the headlight brightness which is a safety issue.

2023 Frontier Pro4X is a great value
2023 Pro4X is an upgraded version of Nissan’s trusty mid-sized truck. Originally under powered in earlier models (I previously owned a 2016 Pro4X), the 2023 model introduces an improved appearance and more powerful 6 cylinder engine with 310 horsepower. The bulkier hood and engine compartment provides a more traditional (or proper) truck appearance on par with competing class, more capable than a Ford Ranger and of better value than the Toyota Tacoma. Only downside is most 2023 models were manufactured during covid supply crunch resulting in Pro4X deliveries lacking in planned accessories such as having tow harness and hitch removed so as not delay delivery. Normally such accessories were standard on 2023 models. Seemingly Nissan changed its business model in 2024 and newer. Disappointingly, most accessories even on the Pro4X line - which was originally the top line model with most accessories considered standard - now has every accessory considered an upgrade, making 2024 and newer models a degraded value as compared to the 2023 model. Otherwise Nissan’s prized Pro4X rides and feels great. Save your money and buy a lightly used 2023!

Great midsized Truck!
I look at all of the new midsize trucks and came back to buy the 2023 Pro4x. Great truck so far, have over 6,000 miles on it. Just feels like a truck, Like the hydraulic steering, took a little while to get used to. I think for the money this truck has a lot of value and was able to get over 4,000 off the sticker. Try that at a Toyota dealer. Buy the way most of the Tacomas l looked at were over MSRP, without the options I wanted.

A No-Nonsense Truck
Frontier has real gauges. Real switches. Rarely use the touch screen except for radio. V-6 with 9 speed tranny seem to be very well matched so that it always feels like more torque than its rating. Takes bumps and rough roads well. Surprised by how well it corners. Overall good solid under rated truck.

Where do some of these reviews come from
I have now owned my 2023 Nissan Frontier for almost a year. I'm one to read reviews on anything that I purchase. The frontier had mixed reviews with the newer engine to the mpg. I figured 24mpg on the highway wasn't terrible for a V6 and most of my commute is on the interstate. This truck has exceeded the 24 mpg, I average 27-29 mpg! The ride quality is good and passengers in the rear say it's comfortable. There are complaints about the controls and things being dated. I have found everything easy to use and not too difficult to navigate. For what the truck has to offer and the price, it was hard to pass it up.

LOVE THIS TRUCK!!
I always said I would never own a truck until I drove the 2024 Frontier PRO-4X! This truck is amazing, I have driven all the others, Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chevy, Dodge and they all suck in comparison. The PRO-4X has all the bells and whistles. The only complaint I have is the auto start/stop feature is a pain as the default setting is on. They have that backwards.

power steering is awful ,gas mileag of a 454 Chevy
some of the control buttons are hard to find, power steering needs strong arm, it's not for anyone with shoulder issues , being a retired semi driver i can park a semi easier, city gas mileage over 7.000 miles averages 13.7 city, the Michelin primacy tires all had bead leaks the Nissan dealer wouldn't do anything about the leaks. the radio fails to keep key off memory ,goes to where ever it wants on restart, dealer told me normal live with it,

Nice to have a non-turbo option for a truck. Required for me to purchase; Back seat needs to be long term (ride) comfortable for adults. Question of carbon buildup due to Direct Injection (requires additional non-standard maintenance). Add Port Injection? Reports of paint peeling since 2017 (needs a comprehensive exstensive paint warranty against peeling).

Time will tell.
I had 3 prior SV Frontiers. This 2023 SV is not as good, no heated seats, no rails in the pickup bed for tie downs and adjusting the bed extender, in fact no way to put in a bed extender. Smaller engine and you can hear and feel it. The interior dimensions are a little smaller, the seats are narrower, not as much room behind the back seats to store things. My 3 prior Frontiers ran for over 250,000 miles with not much trouble. I think the 3 prior Frontiers handled weight in the bed much better. I do like the exterior styling better and it does get better gas mileage, but that does not matter if it is not as good of a truck. The old Frontiers were truck, trucks. This is not. If this 2023 Frontier does not go the distance I won't buy another. So you pay a LOT more and get less.
Depends what you are looking for.................
I took one out for a test drive and here are my thoughts. I rides, well...like a truck. Most new trucks like RAM have a very smooth ride almost like a car. The Frontier has a harsh and choppy feel to it. If you like that feeling and plan on doing some off-roading than it might be for you. If you are looking for the utility of a truck but a smooth and comfortable ride than this is not the truck. Also, as the other reviews state, the back seat is cramped.

Trades a 2020 Tacoma for a 2023 Frontier SV. SV was more solid & didn't 'hunt' for gears like the Tacoma but fewer standard features & worse gas mileage. Traded into a 2024 Nissan Frontier Pro 4X. Best car seat around, like a couch. 4wd adds extra pounds which is noticeable during acceleration. Averaging 21.9 mpg around town & 24.8 on a 500 mile freeway trip. 2024 steering feels lighter than 2023. Lease deals are good with payments about 1/2 price of a buy payment. Color choices include a dark green & a burnt desert sand if you're tired of silver, white & black. I also have a 2011 Frontier base model which is gas & go for 80,000 miles. Mid size trucks are pricey but I don't miss trying to park my full size truck in a narrow mall spot. Depreciation is a bit worse than some other brands. I feel safe driving it, solid unit. Only 3k miles on my 2025, so far so far, tends to "hunt" for gear between 20 & 35 mph.

It is definitely a Truck
Before I traded in my good old reliable 2004 Ford Ranger, I went on to check all the players in the arena: Chevy Colorado, Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, before I made my decision. Unfortunately for the competition, my biggest concern was the modern approach to replace standard 4cyl engines, that lasted for a long time, with Turbo technology. Call me the old school, however the future will tell... My previous 4cyl Ranger was not a fastest kid on the block, but it did more than I expected, including howling a lumber and build my cabin in Okanogan Highlands. So, make the story short, left dealership in a new Nissan Frontier King Cab and so far, no regrets.

Great truck!
I was going back and forth between the Frontier and Tacoma. Decided to go with the 2023 Frontier and I have no regrets. Great truck to drive. Yes, the steering feels heavy but it hasn't been a problem. Has all the features I wanted and actually gets better fuel mileage then what the sticker says. I'm averaging 25-26 on the highway. Just did a 1550 mile trip from Florida to North Georgia and back and it did great. Comfortable and had zero issues.

Great Truck
I looked at every midsize truck. The Frontier won. For 10 months, I had a 2022 SV that I bought used and loved it. Traded it in for 4k more than I bought it for and got a ProX on a month end super deal--which is the only reason I traded it. The steering is hydraulic and heavy, which I love 95% of the time (except in tight parking lots). It has everything you need, nothing you dont. It drives great and feels so solid and steady on the highway or on bumpy roads. The only complaint I have is turning radius--which is bad. Love that it's the only V6 on market. Has long track record and history (engine and frame), base audio is solid. It just feels more old school and less glam. No regrets, would buy it all over again.

Love this truck
I just bought a 2025 Pro 4x. I test drove all the other mid-size trucks to make sure I was buying the right fit. I have owned this truck for 2 weeks, and I feel I made the right decision. I like the integration of actual knobs and a nice big screen. It's comfortable and offers a lot for the money. The only cons I have found is that that steering is stiffer than other makes, and they could have put the start/stop button in a more visible spot.

Nissan quality at a all time low.
I have been a Nissan person since I’ve been driving the past 32 years. I’ve owned them all excluding the skyline. This 3rd gen frontier has been the deal breaker for me to ever purchase another Nissan. The trim is cheap plastic, camera is garbage, tires from factory is nothing but vibration after 60 mph, door trim on my king cab fell off three times, air bag covers on both door keep falling off, door alignment is poor causing door open alarm by hitting simple bump, and last but not least the transmission is horrible with the worst reverse delay to acceleration to point it’s dangerous. Making another appointment for service being the third time within 5 months of owning new truck. I haven’t even hit 1, 000 miles yet and compared to my first gen 04 with 478,000 miles on it this third gen is junk period.

unhappy buyer.
I have a 5ft x6ft bed and cant find a bed liner for it. I also am not happy that I don't have remote mirror control have to move mirror by hand. I always had remote mirrors on even the low level cars or trucks. Safety Hazzard Nissan should be ashamed. I have a S model.
Cheap, slow, throwback
I rented one of these for a 2 week vacation in Tahoe. I own an 18 F150 SCrew with the 2.7. I also once owned a 92 Hardbody KingCab. First thing I did after be grossly underwhelmed by every aspect of this truck was looked up its list price. I about had a heart attack. This truck was gutless, drove HORRIBLE and just felt cheap. It had CarPlay - about the only modern feeling feature. It was like the new version of my old high school truck… only $37K!!! I’d take a 2yr old F150 over this ANY day. More room, more power, BETTER MPG!!! and more comfortable. Can’t believe people buy these
