what i want for what i am willing to pay
I picked up a 2015 sv crew cab 4.0 auto about 3 months ago with 46k for $16.8k. I bought the truck from a kia dealership as is and have had bad experiences buying as is trucks so I added a 3 yr 36k for close to 2 grand. After the dealer got there cut i ended up paying around 21. Minus 2 k in cash i financed around 19 for a truck with proven reliability and dependability and under 50 k. I researched the vehicle online and the only consistent problem I found was the 4.0 likes to jump time around 100k. I feel like knowing this and addressing it around 90 k it should be fine, I am not worried. The price of new trucks now a days is stupid. I refuse to pay over 25k for something i am going to beat on sometimes. It has the comforts i need bluetooth, cruise control, room for my kids car seats and a small bed for random stuff with adjustable tie downs. My sister, my son(5) and myself all took a 9 hour trip to eljay, georgia north of atlanta and it rode great. If I want great gas mileage in a vehicle I will not buy a truck. I do a lot of interstate driving about 375 mi a week and this truck is great. I was driving a leased kia soul ( my wife's previous car it is a long story it is what made the most financial sense don't judge) the ride is about the same to me. It is pretty early on right now so anything could happen. But after talking with 3 or 4 frontier owners before purchasing this I am confident with proper maintanence that it will last me another 200k

2018 Pro4x 1rst Year Ownership
Dont bother reading the big auto reviews, stick to tried and true user breakdowns. I bought this truck for everyday commuting, camping, hunting and fishing. It's perfect size for back overgrown trails, parking at the mall and bustling down snowy highways. It's a solid rig and feels tough. Only oil changes and threw new set of AT51's in first year. If your complaining about mileage go by a Ridgeline and prepare to cough up an extra 10 to 12 grand. Test drove Tacoma OffRoad/Sport and a couple Colorado's and though they were nice no wheres worth the cost difference to get what Pro4x comes stock. If I had to do it again I wouldnt hesitate to make same choice.

2nd time Frontier Owner
Value, Value, Value! Comparably equipped competitors are $7K-$10K more. Why? The Tacoma has engine/transmission problems and a lousy ride. The GMC/Chevy is sluggish and small windows and high bed sides making it a not ideal work truck. The Frontier is a great basic work truck. My last one lasted for 200K miles/11 years with virtually no major repairs, just tires, brakes, oil. What more can you ask? I purchased both trucks used (1 year old each) making the purchase price of each $10K less than new. The 2018 SV CrewCab rides like a car, performs like a truck and is still good looking even though the style is 10+ years old.

2018 Frontier SV 4.0 6 cyl
It is a truck, so expect to find a work tool with wheels. If you want a luxury and comfort truck to carry your family get a Cadillac and pay doble the cost Or buy a mini van or RV. This is a very durable Japanese, reliable engine and transmission. Your money well invested over the other brands of V6 truck categories. The crew cab is spacious enough to seat 2 in the front and 3 in the back. But as I mentioned before is not comfortable for long road family trips . This truck cost less than it competitors. I love this truck just for daily family commute to work or school.
