best full size suv i have drove
the pathfinder armada is wonderful you have a lot of space because the seats fold completly in the floor and my kids love the dvd and the power lift gate is great. also with its 305 horsepower gives it a lot of power and it has a smooth drive i just love it.
New Armada Replaced My Suburban
After 3 Chevrolet Suburban's I was not actively shopping for another type of vehicle. The Armada became it when we saw the legroom in the second row and better styling inside. It's a lot nicer then the Suburban that has a clunky, utilitarian style.

Awsome
Love this car. Looked for a tech package for over a month and finally found one. The NAV is awsome. Without a question, its the best SUV i have ever owned.
KICKS ASS FOR LESS$$$$$$
GREAT SUV!!!! GETS MANY LOOKS, KINDA HARD TO GET GAS. I HAVE TO ANSWER SO MANY QUESTIONS. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS NISSAN.
HAPPY BUYER
AFTER OWNING 6 SUV, THIS SUV HAS THE BEST START OF BEING ONE OF THE BETTER ONES'. HOPE I WILL FEEL THE SAME 3 YEARS FROM NOW ?
Sweet motor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy so far, excellent ride, absolutely incrediably motor/drivetrain. Coming off Ford F150 this thing makes ford looks like POS. Tons of room
I CAN FLY!!
The space, the look, the quality, and the power are awesome! Nissan has done it again! And I'm not surprised! I love my car!
New Armada
Former Tahoe owner -- 200,000 miles on a 1997. Test drove Yukon/Tahoe, Suburban, Lincoln Navigator. Although I thought I wanted a GMC -- I fell in love with performance, safety and new look of Armada. 1,000 miles in first 5 days -- Las Vegas -- Phoenix and back. Have nothing but praise for the handling and engine performance.
Great family vehicle
Our young family of four is really enjoying this vehicle. The DVD entertainment center is great for long trips. It has a lot of power - I'm someone that loves to accelerate, and the Armada has good, very smooth, acceleration for its size. It handles very well on slick roads. The interior is unbelievable - storage is everywhere! And the second row seats have a LOT of room! It is easy to fold down the third row, and the fact it has shoulder belts in all 8 seating positions gives us a lot of flexibility in where the kids ride particularly when my wife travels with friends.
Armada Mania
Big but drives as if you are driving a small SUV. Very manuvarable, lots of power and Zip and I do mean Zip. Nissan used a very common sense aproach when desinging the interior accessories. I love it. Best vehical I have ever owned.
Excellent Truck
Just traded in my old Sequoia because it just could not handle my 28ft boat. Guess what, this baby pulls it like a dream. I've heard some people don't like the rear of this truck, but when you see it up close this truck looks great, and it has very good interior materials and finishing, unlike American trucks.
Armada Monster
This SUV is everything you would need or want. It is a Monster on the road and in the snow. I can get past the fuel economy and just enjoy the ride and many safety features. What a vehicle
Fianlly a Nissan SUV
Excellent alternative to the domestic SUV, compared all the other models and this Armada has it all. Currently own a Ford Expedition (which I like too). If you try one out you will buy one, altho hold on to your pocketbook, not cheap!
2004 Armada
The new armada will be a front runner in the full size SUV market. With the most horse power in its class. And the interior room. It's also a good value for the money.
Add this SUV to your list
We bought this SUV for trips in and out of state. In three weeks we have put on 1600+ miles. The Armada is very comfortable and easy to drive on long trips. Will be towing w/car trailer and Jeep in April
Godzilla has arrived
Look out, it's GODZILLA and he's coming at you. Love the Armada, perfect name for this monster. Big as anything, but handles like a mid-size SUV. Interior quality not great and some ergonomic features 'weirdly' placed at first but easy to get use to. Don't know what more can be offered in the Infiniti version QX.
YEP
Finally another foreign car in the big SUV market. Even with no options this vehicle is well equipped. Great leg room in the rear seat, my kid can't kick the front seats anymore (come to think of it I don't think Shaq can reach either). The ride is quiet but the SUV has tons of power. Comfortable cockpit with controls easy to find. If your looking for the new BIG SUV this is it. Can't wait for the first road trip!
Love It!
We bought the Armada used and was very please with its condition. Its pickup is awesome and I love the space it provides for my large family.
Best of Full-Sized
I'd like to begin by saying that I am in the process of trading my Armada in for another vehicle because all of the problems I am having. This might contradict my ratings, but that's because the issues I am having are all due to bad construction rather than bad design. The Armada beats every other SUV I test drove in every aspect save interior quality. Such cheap and soft plastic!! Terrible gas mileage, but to be expected from something that dyno's at the rear wheels around 340HP. Nothing like darting past little 'sports' cars around town in something 4x their size.
toyota sucks
I bought this vehicle in the beginning of october it is awesome. I just came from driving the sequoia, their is no comparison. More hp, torque, room, towing capacity, ground clearance, cupholders, more of everything. This is the best part it was 4k less with more equipment. Everywhere I go people stop and stair and the kids love it.
Buy anything but this vehicle
This is by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned. In the two years I have owned it, it has been in the shop 12 times for rattles, 3 times for brakes (they keep patching them and telling me Nissan won't allow them to change them until they get really bad because of lack of parts), and numerous other times for various other problems. I plan on replacing it with a reliable vehicle soon. I will never own another Nissan.
Nissan Armada LE 4X
Overall I like this truck alot and its our fourth SUV. Your get alot of truck for the price and so much more interior room. My last SUV was an expedition and I only miss Keyless pad entry, mileage display, and digital climate control. Over all would never go back to a Ford again. Nissan has done a great job creating this SUV.
So far soooo goooood
So far, so good! Smooth ride, excellent acceleration, lots of body roll when turning, but what do u expect, it's a BIG SUV. Brakes a little slow. Very Happy with this truck!
Watch out Detroit
We just took delivery 1-5-04. I bought this vehicle to tow my 35' camper, and to commute to and from work. This is the only vehicle that we drove with the capability to pull the camper without going to a 3/4 ton tow vehicle. We were also very impressed with the value offered in this vehicle, compared with other vehicles in the class. We will be taking it on a long weekend trip in a couple of weeks and neither my wife nor I can wait to spend a few hours behind the wheel.
Best SUV
One of the best SUV's I have ever driven. Go for it...
Simply Awesome!
I recently purchase the new Armada and find it hands down better than the competition. I test drove the Sequoia, Tahoe and Yukon. This V-8 engine is awesome. It blows away the competition. I drove a Nissan Pathfinder for 5 years and loved the V-6 240hp engine on my 2002. This vehicle blows the mid-size Pathfinder away. There is so much here I don't have time to list. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone interested in purchasing a full size SUV. The one downfall of this SUV is the mileage, but for all the fun it is to drive, it is well worth the headache to fill up more frequently. Happy trails to everyone who buys this SUV!
Great truck...rides like a car
After Nissan works out the kinks with this truck...it should rule the large SUV market. Ride is fantastic. There is a problem with the roof of this vehicle. My hope is nissan does a recall and really can fix it. Avoid the DVD system in the roof, as this will add weight to an already strained roof. I will have my DVD system installed in the head rests of the front seats. Horsepower is amazing. Controls are easy to operate as is the navigation system. Coming from a former Explorer(2), Expedition(3), Honda Pilot, Land Crusier, and Yukon owner...this truck is already better than those .... and will be far better after Nissan fixes a few things.
Good so far
I've the Armada LE RWD for two weeks now, and I'm very happy with it. You wouldn't believe the looks it gets. Quick, nimble and sure in city and highway driving. It is SO big.
This monster is fun to drive!
The first thing I noticed when I stepped inside the vehicle was the roominess. No vehicle on the market matches the amount of legroom and space you'll get in the second and third row seating. The ride is extremely smooth and handles very well for such a large truck. We upgarded to the SE Journey package so that we could have the 2nd row captain seats, which flip easily and out of the way for access to the 3rd row. The styling and leather are very nice and unique and is extremely comfortable for a long drive. There are plenty of places to store various items, even enough room to put your laptop in. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy our new SUV.
ROUGH RIDE
OWNED TWO EXPEDITIONS BEFORE THIS ARMADA. GREAT POWER AND THE TEC PACKAGE IS FANTASTIC....TURNS ON A DIME AND HAS A SUPER SOUND SYSTEM. THE RIDE IS WAY TO BUMPY AND I HAVE EVEN REDUCED TIRE PRESSURE TO EASE THE TEETH RATTLING RIDE.....MAYBE MICHELIN TIRES WILL HELP... IF I HAD TO DO IT AGAIN I WOULD GO BACK TO THE FORD EXPEDITION.
LE Insights
I love the truck, it drives very nicely for this size of vehicle. The power is amazing although you pay for it with gas mileage (I knew that before the purchase). I am a little disappointed with wind noise and rattle from the moonroof, hopefully this will be corrected on first service.
So Far So Good
Nice riding suv. Great sound system. Lots of Leg room and storage area. Very happy with this purchase.
Two weeks old and I love it!
I went from a Durango to the Armada with a little hesitation because of the Armada's size, but it was a very easy transition. The amount of storage the Armada has and the overall ability to see out of the mirrors, etc., is amazing. The stereo is fabulous and the ease of use of all the controls is great. The fold down seats (including the passenger's) is also a big bonus. The Armada's ride is smooth and it is fun to drive. I would highly recommend the Armada.
Nissan Armada
ILOVE this car. It's a large SUV and it handles likes it is small. It sticks to the road and it snaps your neck at the start. Nissan needs to do a better job with color choices and option packages. You can't find a car with everything you want in it, Nor can you buy the option for later installation! The controls on the steering wheel can not be seen in the dark...you better memorize them! It is strange that in the LE version you can't get dual auto climate control. Other then those small irratants, This is ONE FINE CAR that you won't reget buying. The engine growls better then any American V-8. Tri-Cities Nissan in Johnson City TN is the place to buy one.
I LOVE THIS VEHICLE
VERY COMFORTABLE RIDE. NICE SMOOTH SUSPENSION. INTERIOR LAYOUT VERY NICE. EVERYTHING IS LAID OUT WITHIN AN ARM'S REACH. SEATING FOR 8 IS A GREAT FEATURE AS WE HAVE ALREADY PUT IT TO THE TEST. NISSAN HAS DONE MANY THINGS RIGHT IN THIS VEHICLE. TOO MANY TO LIST HERE. SEE FOR YOURSELF
One awsome ride
We have had numerous amounts of comment regarding this new purchase. I can't began to tell you the number of looks we get when we're in the truck. I know this was a great purchase for our family.
Nissan Pathfinder Armada
We are very pleased with this vehicle. It is unique and fun to drive.
Worth the Initial Investment
I've had The Tank for almost 6 years now, and the first 95K were absolutely trouble free. Since then, I've replaced the radiator core, A/C condenser, and most recently the right side exhaust manifold, not cheap, but considering the 108K of extremely hard driving, and $4K price tag for repairs, it's been well worth it. I'm on my 3rd set of tires (last two Bridgestone)...fuel economy is still brutal, but considering 6 years and over 100K, I'd buy another if Nissan would continue to build them.
AWESOME
I LOVE THE SMOOTH RIDE AND THE BENEFIT OF THE VERSATILITY OF THE SIZE AND THE FOLDING SEATS. A LOT OF POWER. UNBEILEIVABLE.
I Cant belive I own one
its my first day driving the car so i have so much to do then i will tell you how mch i love it.
Flapping wind Noise on Rough surface Roa
I have a question for all new Armada owners. I just bought a brand new Armada and loving it except for one thing, "The Flapping Wind Noise when driving on Rough surface Road". At first I thought it was just the one I've got but then I took it back to the dealer and trade it for another same model. It's still the same. I would like to know when you drive on a rough surface road turn off the radio and see if you hear the noise I'm talking about especially if you drive between 60- 70mph. Thank you for your time.
first 10 days
I drove a GMC Suburban for 3 years, and was ready to buy a Sequoia, when I stopped at a Nissan dealer and drove the Armada. The 'no pressure' approach by the dealer, the incredible ride and performance of the Armada and a great price with all the extras makes made me buy this vehicle, which is a delight to drive. I am very much satisfied with the Armada.
A Very Good SUV
I this one compare to my 2002 Yukon XL which I have to trade for constant problems with the engine!!!!
Lots of Power and Room
This is a very good large SUV with a lot of safety features as well as the performance and nimbleness of a smaller vehicle. There are a few first year modle issues, but nothing that prevented me from buying.
2004 a bad year to buy
Well my experience with this vechile still continues. The quality factor is awful compared to what nissans used to be. Trying to get nissan to buy this vehicle back or give me a new one..
NICE
Great speakers and dvd is great for the kids it is easy to handle in rain or snow or even on a sunny day fits into garage.
GREAT OVERALL
HAD THE 00 FORD EXPEDITION - HALF DECENT, HAD THE 01 TOYOTA SEQUOIA NOTHING TO BRAG ABOUT, HAVE THE 04 NISSAN ARMADA, I THINK ITS GREAT OVERALL.
Way better than the Astro Van I traded
There are going to be problems with first run vehicles. So far I haven't experienced any of major proportions. The lumbar support needs fixing for tall drivers but this is minor. I love the way this vehicle runs, drives, rides on the highway etc. Coming from an Astro van, I can tell ya about rattles and squeaks. This vehicle doesn't rattle anywhere near a GM, Chrysler or Ford product. Haven't experienced any problems with the brakes and if I do it will be a good reason to upgrade to slotted rotors. Overall impression is if ya want a fast, fun hauling beast the Armada is for you. And compared to its competition, it still tops the American products in quality.
Objective? I think so...
We have had our LE 4wd for several weeks now and have made several road trips in it along with daily town driving. Ours has the Tech package and DVD (aftermarket 9" screen w/ TV and wireless headphones). The ride is sweet for a vehicle this size, very comfortable. The engine is phenominal, love the power and the sound from the tail pipes. When I drive, its hard not to play with that power so fuel mileage is averaging around 14 mpg. Interior is nice, comfortable and clean. Some complain about the cheap looking interior materials but I think the LE with leather works well.
Great Truck
Have owned this car since new, continue to keep this while trading/leasing others. The size, ride and functionality are incomparable and we have had minimal problems with a first year model. Highly recommend this vehicle to those considering. Do your homework. The brake concerns are to be expected for a large, heavy SUV that gets traditional auto miles. We have 65k miles and are going in for our second brake job... the first was covered. 2nd set of tires are in great shape. Compare to a Suburban/Expedition by taking a drive test... it is a hands down winner.
