I got the 2020 Eclipse SE 2WD Model 6 months ago. Acceleration is ok around town; the CVT hampers drivability on take offs, but if you give it the "beans" it will respond appropriately. Power delivery is very good on the highway; throttle input on speeds over 50 MPH are generally swift. Vehicle stability is compromised during gusty winds on the highway; frequent steering corrections are needed. In the city, however, it's very nimble has a very easy driving nature; highly recommended for drivers whom are afraid (or lack the skills) to drive big vehicles. Handling is direct and secure but cornering comes with lots of body roll. Suspension set up its a mixed bag, the springs are overly soft but the shock-absorbers are very stiff making it "crash" on even moderate-size bumps. Interior space is adequate for the size of the vehicle; I found the construction materials to be very pleasant for a mainstream vehicle. I'm averaging 27 MPG on a 60% highway/40% city driving. Out the lot price for my SE 2WD trim was $24,500 with a generous Mitsubishi warranty. Dealership maintenance on these vehicles are dirty-cheap too.

Cannot open the trunk when car is parked but still running. Door for gas latch is inside car poorly constructed. Cannot turn off car and leave radio on. Seat belt too is tight. Speedometer is not digital. Control of dashboard is minimal. Electrical seems to glich often. Have to have it serviced already this is a 2022!

2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross LE 4dr SUV AWD (1.5L 4cyl Turbo CVT)

I recently rented a 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross with 7K on the clock. The vehicle I originally rented was not available so I was "upgraded" to the Mitsu. The upgrade included the following: a blind spot that covers an entire city block, a seat that adjusts every direction except the correct one, a view screen that was too bright at night but at least during the day was not visible due to the sun angles, window controls you need an atlas to find, the rattle of the interior plastics at times would drown out the rattle coming from the engine. I never did get to experience the lauded AWD. The experience of driving this machine made me dearly miss my 2005 Scion Xa. If you choose to purchase this vehicle I would recommend an extended warranty; as I feel reliability issues will be in your future.

I bought a 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross LE AWD and am beyond disappointed. Please beware of what you're buying!!! Pretty car but made of cheap materials - overall not worth it. Externally the car looks nice but inside it is extremely uncomfortable to drive in. The seats WILL hurt your back. I am three weeks into owning it and the plastic parts of the door handle are now coming off - service center is not even sure if it's covered under warranty. Car is good if you're looking for something to fill your driveway, but I honestly canNOT recommend this vehicle to anyone with kids OR looking for car rides longer than 20 mins. I am tall, wear size L and this car is not made for people my size. Overall very disappointed because I was excited to purchase this after reading all of the positive reviews, so please do your research and don't get scammed with this!
