Used 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Consumer Reviews
AC Issues
Leased a 2022 EC right after its release in March of 2021. AC worked fine during the four months of summer. After a long winter I did not use the ac again until the beginning of June and it did not work. It didn't occur to me to test my ac during the winter to see if it was working in order to fix it within the 12mo warranty. Due to working from home I had less than 6K miles on the vehicle. Dealership wanted to charge me $200 for a diagnostic test which I did not do. After much researching, there are numerous complaints about the same problem for this specific year and model. The reason it's significant is because after the release of this new model there was a low number of vehicles imported into this country and Mitsubishi has not done a recall. This is my sixth Mitsubishi and this issue seems to be the result of poor manufacturing.
Great choice
I have had nothing but Kia since 2008. I wanted an AWD SUV for the upcoming winter after being in an Optima for the last 2 winters. Saw an Eclipse Cross on the road and decided to go check it out. Roomy interior that looks really nice and is comfortable. Handles well and feels pretty peppy to me. Overall I am very happy with it.

after 33,000km ( 20625 m )
Poor back visibility ( design of the tail gate windows ), suspension is a bit unstable a high speed ( 110km/h, 70 mp/h ) when going over a bump. comfortable ( i'm 6'1'', 225 lbs ) good fuel economy, enough power ( not a race car ), works good in the Québec snow. good warranty. No visit at the dealer needed after 33,000 km ( 20625 m ) absolutly no problem with my little suv. Good car for the money.

Quirks Add Up
At first glance this is a relatively attractive and well priced vehicle in its class. Lots of creature comforts and a strong suite of safety features on the upper trim levels. Then you drive it for awhile, and start to feel annoyed. Whether it is the cheap and tin like sounds the doors make upon closing, the grinding effort of opening the gas hatch, the road manners, the lack of dampening of road imperfections, or simply the near impossible task of opening windows using control buttons hidden behind an unnecessary door bar, the vehicle grinds the joy out of your purchase choice. For the love of all that is holy you can't even quickly mute the radio! You have to dial it down or up using the mouse pad behind the shifter or the steering wheel controls! The vehicle also has a terrible highway speed 'shimmy' at about 110km/h. I do not recommend this vehicle, and would suggest considering a RAV4 if money is not a concern, or the Mazda CX3.

Nice little SUV - Depends on your own criteria
10 000km later UPDATE Power barely sufficient. Very quiet ride. Fuel consumption on highway not so bad (32,6 mi./gal with Ecomode on). Excellent traction system (S-AWD, best on the market with Subaru). Interior ok, not more. Very uncomfortable seats. To narrow with unajustable lumbar support. Handling so so and quickly oversteer (from a former Volkswagen driver...). Powerful fog lights. CVT transmission is...well, you dont want to know. As I said, it depends on what you are focusing on when buying a car. For my own part,I like the look and the S-AWD, one of the best on the market if not the best. Otherwise, overall comfort and power are much perfectible and unfortunately, I would not buy again...
