Not an offroader by any means, poor build quality.

The Mazda CX-50 should not be called an off-road vehicle. With the stock oem tires, the vehicle's AWD system has a tough time with just a few inches of snow. The CX-50 looks nice and drives OK. It has a firm ride, feels sporty and has nice touches...more on that later. The non-turbo will not beat the likes of a Honda CRV EX, Rav 4, or even a CX-5. The CX-50 tries to feel "premium" but it lacks build quality. In fact the 24 CX-5 Select feels much more premium compared to the 24 CX-50 Premium Plus. In colder weather the OEM tires needs to be constantly filled with air dur to loss of tire pressure. Literally everyday during winter, the TMPS sensors say low tire pressure. The brakes were grinding at only 13,700 miles. - Comfortable but not for longer drives. The seats hurt the back and legs during long ride. - Decent handling but the CX-5 does a better job. - Sure footed on dry pavement. - Bose sound system is good, the audio controls take some learnig but the display has a touch screen. - Plenty of room for four people, with a decent amount of trunk space. - The panoramic sunroof is a nice touch. - Lack of power when starting from a red light. Sport mode makes a tad better. - Front radar - safety feature gets disabled when it rains or snows. - The remote start system in the app is horrific. The app is clunky also. - The OEM tires will need to be replaced at around 15,000 miles.

I bought this vehicle in May and it has been nothing but fun in this car. The infotainment can be tricky at first but once you get the hang of it, you'll like it. 2024 Black Mica Turbo AWD

Fun car to drive in the mountains!

Love the handling of this vehicle. So confident on curvy mountain highway. Love the look and the interior is much more upscale than any of the competitors and I tried them all. I put Falcon trail tires on it and it just makes the look of the vehicle pop! Also, handles well in snow. The seats are fine. Comfortable. Only small complaint is the heavy steering takes a bit to get use to, but it keeps you engaged … which you should be because your driving a car not a couch! Also, gas mileage is not great for this segment, but I didn’t buy it for that reason. If you are concerned about that… buy an ugly Prius and be happier at the pump. Me, I’d rather be happier on the road. Love my CX 50
