The car has no issues, its engine is used in taxicabs and police intercepters for a reason, with pull so hard you’d feel you could leave the eatth’s crust going off the line; that and its massive trunk are the three major selling points of this car. Other cars offer all the same features, some better implemented. The interior is very bland, handling (well this is a given) is very mushy, the transmission is never in the right gear always being several too low as well as very jerky, and engine sound is horrible; shifting up for yourself (which I have to do every time I drive the car) takes you away from the left hand dashboard screen where it keeps information such as fuel economy (using graphics that aren’t very good, and with awkwardly sized gauges especially for the tach). Visibility is very limited which forces a high seating position, small touches such as the missing wiper stock on the righthand side and the poor allignment of the woodpanels on the door and dash or the plastics on the center console drive me INSANE. I’m very attentive to details, for this reason the car doesn’t suit me by any means. It’s definitely designed for those who like SUV seating position, and enjoy having full power a half inch down on the throttle.

The car is great. Its a 2014. The sales team at the dealership I purchased my MKS at were great. Had problems scheduling vehicle for a miner cosmetic repair at another Lincoln dealership the car was not purchased at. I experienced poor customer service at Richmond Ford. I had to reschedule at a dealership across town.

Base 3.7L MKS The Underappreciated Vehicle

I really wanted a Taurus SHO. I liked the spacious trunk and really wanted the performance. Ended up with a deal I couldn't refuse on a base 3.7L MKS. I thought I was settling to save money with this base MKS. I was wrong. Pictures don't do the vehicle justice. In person it looks like a Hawk from the front and a cross between a Jaguar and Maserati from the back at the right angle. The trunk is like having a full blown SUV for family trips. It's literally ridiculous how big it is. The complaints of a tight feeling front are overblown. It actually emulates a sporty cockpit feeling without having anything uncomfortable rubbing against you even if you tried. As far as handling it has a normal, sport, and comfort mode for suspension. You can set it to be full time any of the three in drive. It has paddle shifters to play in the mountains holding gears or assist with slowing down. A secret in performance I learned is the car really comes to life by dropping the shifter into Sport Mode and letting the transmission do the work. This move seems to make the engine torque curve more aggressive, suspension tighten up, shifts firmer, and it holds gears longer at medium, light, and WOT. I really like that this car can be driven like grandpas old Lazy boy feel Lincoln in comfort mode and get a little frisky I'm sports mode. The styling does a great job of reminding you of grandpas Lincoln you fell in love with and a newer version that is yours. The ability to travel the whole family and luggage in comfort in a sporty looking sedan is pretty cool. Best of all it stands out from all the yuppies who bought Beemers and Benzes dealing with all their maintenance bs and ticking time bomb after 100k mile costs. You can't go wrong with any model of this vehicle. The base gets better gas mileage and and still gets up and goes in a respectable manner. Also no premium gas which is huge savings. The Ecoboost I've never driven but can imagine how much more I'd love it. This car is a hidden gem. The flagship vehicle Lincoln between the Towncar and Return of the Continental. Get one while they are still in good condition, cheap, and unappreciated.

The trunk is terrible you knock your head whatever you tried to get access to the back of the trunk. The lid needs to be larger. Great space poor getting out at it Leasing anMK r tomorrow.
