Used 2023 Lincoln Corsair Consumer Reviews
Our Red Carpet Metallic Valentines Day delivery!
What's not to love? The comfort, the features, the color and the ride...all fantastic! The leather interior is beautiful and the feel of the leather is even more wonderful than we imagined. We bought the Reserve model so there are more added features. We have taken two roadtrips averaging 30 to 31 MPG with the 2.0 liter engine. Engine, transmission and suspension are all great. We researched several luxury models and this one came to the forefront. It's elegance at an affordable price.

Shockingly Good!
Bought the 2023 AWD Reserve loaded (Collection III package) and this was my first Lincoln. This may share a base platform with the Escape but any comparison ends there. The exterior looks fantastic and the interior is gorgeous. Excellent fit, finish, and ride quality with ample acceleration from the 2.0. An impressively well-executed vehicle with upgraded technology and overall build quality. The upgraded touch screen is easy to use and the Revel sound system is incredible for a factory installed option. Do yourself a favor and test drive a new Corsair to see for yourself. I had no idea Lincoln was offering such a superior product -- an attractive U.S. made alternative to pricey imports in this class. Kudos to Ford / Lincoln on this vehicle. I bought a 2023 and took advantage of great incentives, including low interest financing and cash back.

Luxury and Peppiness Made in America
The exterior ceramic pearl color is eye catching, and doesn't stop there. The roof profile adds class and there is plenty of room in the back seat for adults. The cockpit has high grade materials and the floating instrument panel is convenient and classy. Many components in the cab are shared with the 2023 Ford Explorer. The power and performance are remarkable, and the performance modes really work (the "excite" mode is like a race car !). Even with FWD it performed very well in snowstorm (with ice mode selected). The rain sensing wipers are really handy, and the built in warning lights in the side rears really work and have save some stress already. Heated seats and steering wheel are now a "must have" for us and we love them. The touch screen is easy to navigate. The MyKey surprised us as one of ours was in "teenager mode" and the car would not go over 80 MPH when that key was used. It was easy to reprogram, but a great feature. There could be a little more storage in the cabin and only 10 radio pre-sets, but so minor compared to all the good. We had to shop for roof cross bars since Lincoln does not provide but found good ones from OMAC. Enjoy.

Corsair Grand Touring PHEV RULES Class (G2)
OMG! So this is my 3rd FoMoCo hybrid product. First was a 2017 Fusion Hybrid Titanium. Then 2019 Lincoln MKZ Reserve Hybrid II, and now this one. I know the powertrain system well. The other two cars were perfect. I only traded the MKZ because of a lemon law claim with a dealer that couldnt repair. Yes I do miss some things- like an ok option to confirm choices on both sides of the steering wheel. Also, the engine cover that quiets, quells, or covers up some of the buzz from the ICE engine. I also miss the 120v household style outlet in the backseat. This one gives all the modern stuff, but I'd rather have the plug (solution is to buy a car inverter for those times). I love the interior. I had to figure out how to darken the lighting, as its kind of spaceship and space age flight theme. I love the wood in the dash. The 'laser' lights in the interior lights are wonderful, but can be too bright at night. I love the 24 way massaging seats, including the thigh support buttons. The heated seats are upgraded too, as they are far warmer and expansive. No other SUV or plug-in hybrid offered them from what I remember. Even the Q5 didnt, but its optioned the same cost $8k more than my G2. The exterior is great too. I tinted the windows AND the privacy glass. In Elite Blue Metallic, it is lighter than i thought, but the contrast with the tint is amazing and I always walk up proud of the color choice. My other vehicles are usually dark and basic, so this marks a change. I've heard that water runs down the cabin- likely due to the slots for the cargo hatch hinges. I'll just get it handwashed. Not much difference versus $20 for the machine that can scrap and scratch paint. I havent tried the deicing nozzle washers yet and other new external features. I do like having the foot-activated hatch, but I've seen it only go halfway up on its own. Im 1300 miles in, having ordered it, and I'm fairly impressed. Not only do the other luxuries not offer the massaging seats, the gas mileage is amazing too. I know the 78-e rating, but Im not able to charge up the 12v while at work, so to maintain 58 mpge during the break-in period, I'm satisfied. I expected it to go up and will update the review at 10k miles. Im now almost at 20k miles. I hate if I start and throw it into drive too quickly, the check engine light comes on lol. If i leave the charge door open, the light comes on. Really, that's about the best I can do. I will get different and better tires when I get to 40k miles. The wireless charger works well. The adaptive cruise and lane centering work well. Massaging seats AMAZING!! BIG UPDATE!!! 4/6/23 945 pm after driving over ten hours from GA to IL, I pulled into my mom's drive. 4/7/23 115 pm after sitting overnight, i go to the post office. One minute later, I notice the check engine light snuck on. The engine is now warming. 5 minutes later, I pull up at the post office after that short drive. The car tells me the engine is too warm. I let the car sit. 30 minutes later, I pull off, only to pull over again after about 2 minutes. Call around. Find a dealer. Take it there the next morning. The idiot tech said I broke it in a crash. lol. Not so. but its my fault. Will need a new battery for $15k, with a 2-3 month wait time. NOPE!! Drive back to family home. Found another dealer. Properly diagnosed the coolant hose leaked. Not sure why or how. But it was not my impact. Yet I paid for EVERYTHING out of pocket once Lincoln decided at day 44 I was on the hook. I got BBB involved. Paid $2537 on everything. experience cut my side income. made things tight. 6/9 I get the car back. Engine is running warm at times in EV mode, but its not so bad. 9/5 I total the car getting off the exit. I feel like 26 air bags deployed!!! i walked away. WIll be getting a 2021 to replace it. Yes, I'm eager to see it, as many said the 21 GT had better quality than the '22. I do not regret a MOMENT of time in this car. Why else would I scourer the entire US using autotrader to find the one I wanted, the color I wanted, with an extra feature or two to replace the factory ordered Corsair that replaced my brand new MKZ hybrid that had one dumb mechanical issue with the cruise??? I'm must concerned that hose may break again. STILL five stars!! honda and toyota have isolated things like this in a few thousand cars a year too. By the way, EVERY solitary moment in that car has been amazing!!! Why else would i prefer it over less expensive, used luxury PHEVs that cost $30k vs 40k???

I now own a vehicle that is smarter than I am
I have only owned this vehicle for about a week as of this writing, so it is too early for an accurate review. But my first impression is mostly favorable, unlike some other reviews that I have read online. The vehicle has started out tight and rattle-free with plenty of power and comfort. It has all of the option packages which make it even more complicated than the base plug-in hybrid version. I will be going through the 673 page owners manual for some time it would seem. One thing I would have preferred is less plastic in the interior. Granted it is mostly in the areas that you do not readily see. But still, this is supposed to be a luxury SUV. Also, the fact that a rear cargo cover is optional and an engine appearance cover isn't even available at all doesn't gel with the premium price that you have to pay for this vehicle. And finally, this vehicle only has Sync 3. I think that all Lincoln models should have been the first Ford products to get Sync 4 befitting their luxury status. But what are you going to do? I knew all of this going in and I still bought the vehicle anyway. Every time I gaze upon her beautiful ocean drive blue exterior and sandstone interior, all is forgiven. Whoever said that buying a vehicle was always based on rational decisions anyway?

Lincoln Grand Touring
I replaced my 2022 Lincoln Aviator Reserve with a 2022 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring. The all electric drive has ranged from 34 to 46 miles. With the adaptive suspension it soaks up road imperfections and rides and drives like a larger vehicle. It is quiet and very comfortable and has lots of room. I enjoy charging at home rarely buying gas during the month. I didn't get any other options since I felt the Grand Touring is already loaded with features. I also saved $5,000 off msrp making it a great deal at $48,000 .

One year in and it has met my expectations.
Purchase my Corsair just about a year ago. I have less than 6000 miles on it but regardless it has met nearly all my expectations. Gas mileage has averaged about 25 to 26 miles a gallon. Handling has been exceptional. Automated systems for driving enhancement/safety have been great. Like most SUVs there are blind spots but it is manageable with some care. I am a little bit disappointed in the quality of the carpeting and some other aspects where cheap materials are used rather than materials I would expect in a luxury vehicle.

Excellent Compact SUV
We only have 1,200 miles on it but it drives great. Lincoln is the luxury division of the Ford Motor Co and this Corsair is built on the Escape frame. We also own a 2017 Escape Titanium trim and have owned and used it for 7 years now and while we love it, there is no comparison to the 2023 Lincoln Corsair. It is the perfect size for empty nesters that still like to travel and it handles nimbly and is quick, responsive and smooth. It does have lots of tech so if one is tech phobic then this may not be the right vehicle. But spend a little time learning the ins and outs and watch Youtube videos and it's easy to master.

Don't buy a Lincoln Corsair
Bought a new Corsair, 6 months later would not start. Had to be towed in. When you buy they say they will pick up and deliver for service. They would not return it since it was towed. I had to Uber there. Poor quality vehicle, hood shimmies when on the highway. Took it in and they said that is the way they are. Automatic transmission that feels like a stick shift when in Excite mode. Traded it in after 9 months and lost 11k. It had 4k miles on it.

Seat Design Flaws
The two problems I've encountered the most since my purchase 3 months ago - Anti-collision Braking System goes off randomly without cause. A module was replaced, we'll see how that goes. The second is how incredibly uncomfortable the driver's and passenger seats are. The back of the seats are all hard plastic. The internal structure puts a support bar with a housing for the climate control systems that creates a bulge in the middle of my back. I'm average height and weight; my husband is a little taller and both of us feel the pressure the longer were riding in the vehicle. Lincoln took the MKC and ruined it in the name of saving on production costs. I have a 2017 MKC that is incredibly comfortable - the difference is in the seat design. Avoid this vehicle if you like long drives.

I wanted to love this little car
Pros: I think it is a very handsome car. The 2.0 is plenty powerful enough for me and I'm getting 30-31 mpg on the highway, now that it has some miles on it. Beautiful interior. Front of the cabin is quiet. Revel audio is quite good. Lots of great features. Things you reach for are all well placed. The drivetrain has been very reliable and the HVAC system is excellent. Cons: Build quality is abysmal. You never know what features will take a vacation. Liftgate? Power seats? Auto hold? The list goes on. There are more creaks, pops, squeaks and rattles that any car should have, especially a Lincoln. Even the seats have become noisy. The is a carpeted exterior wheel liner that falls loose and looks awful. Dealer said it was fixed, twice but still hanging loose. One final annoyance is that it does not like to accept fuel. Filling up takes forever with the gas filler neck unable to accept more than a trickle. Dealer said this was fixed as well... There is so much to like about this Corsair, but so many irritations that I won't be purchasing another Lincoln. It is telling that Consumer Reports ranked Lincoln dead last in reliability and they aren't completely wrong.

Comfort
The Corsair is loaded with every option imaginable. The interior is very plush and quiet. The engine has plenty of power. After owning several other luxury makes and models, Lincoln is my wife’s favorite.

Poor quality
We have had this car for 10 months now been back to the dealership four times needs to go back the passenger seat is coming apart. The rear fender well is missing a piece that was not installed from the factory. The proximity key function only works sometimes I would not buy this car again we traded in a Toyota. That was a big mistake.

The touch controls versus buttons is a disaster
I enjoy the ride. The negatives are as follows. Wheel base length means bumps are more noticeable. The touch screen is a mess. There’s no way you can drive and pay attention to the road and do the simple task of adjusting fan speed or temperature in the cabin. The icons ancro the bottom are too small. The home Lincoln button is too small and sometimes it’s not responsive to your touch. The radio is another disaster. Trying to add stations, Wether, FM or serus. Radio is crappy and difficult to program. The muffler system is noisy versus quiet. Finally one has to unscrew multiple screws and pull a side panel cover just to change the cabin air filter. A 15 minute project. My my 23 Hyundai Santa Fe it took 3 minutes, was quick easy and well thought out to change the cabin air filter. I suggest one purchase the extended warranty with any Lincoln. Good luck.

The Corsair has been updated based on owner and dealer feedback. This is my second Corsair and the updates are good. The display is bigger and more intuitive. Speaking to the controls is much easier than before. The car is very comfortable .

DON'[T BUY THIS CAR
If you owned a Lincoln MKX, and want to replace it.. This car is NOT for you. Lincoln has ruined this car. It is very very smaller, much lower to the ground, the gears are difficult to reach, under a ledge, the sun roof only goes half way back. Biggest mistake I"ve made..Stupid me..But if you do buy, stay away from Parks Lincoln in Tampa

Best Luxury Compact SUV
Lincoln Corsair is the best luxury compact SUV you can buy in market. It has many standard comfort and safety features. Once you start driving Lincoln Corsair you do not want to stop, just keep going with comfort, luxury and calm driving experience. Lincoln Corsair made me to stick with Lincoln brand since 2021 and I am thinking of luxury vehicle from other brand and like to stick with Lincoln.

Not what I expected
I just brought home a 2022 Lincoln Corsair Reserve. So far I'm not impressed. I traded in my 2016 Escape. One thing that is really important to me is the sound system. The Corsairs sounds like my transistor radio from the 1960s. What a disappointment. For that price car and a Lincoln I was expecting it to at least be as good as my Ford Escape.

Best No Less, Quiet as Rolls Royce...
This SUV is absolutely amazing, so many features unavailable in other cars in its class, like the heavenly 24 way adjustable, heated, cooled, massaging seats, the Revel Ultima sound system, and the hands free Bluecruise that tracks like a missile safe and solid. Also the pricing is more then fair.

One of the worst vehicles I have ever driven.
I test drove a 2023 Lincoln Corsair today. I have 32 years of automobile business experience and have driven almost every car made. This was one of the worst cars I have ever driven. It had terrible tire and road noise. The bumps transmitted through the chassis before moving up through the roof like a bell ringing. The stereo sounded tinny and cheap (the salesperson lied and said it had the revel sound option, it was the stock non option media). It did a porpoise motion as it went over undulations in the road. The engine had harshness and the transmission was jerky from a standing start. The car lurched forward and the nose-dived with even the smoothest braking pressure applied. After commenting on all this, the salesman said "shall we go in and write it up". I had to stay diplomatic. Shame on Ford.

The most uncomfortable seats ever
I purchased my Corsair with less than 900 miles on it. Updated from a 2017 MKC. The seats in the MKC were marginally comfortable but I lived with it for 2 years. The seats in the Corsair started out great, much better than the MKC. Well after putting 15,000 miles on it the seats are now so uncomfortable that I will likely get rid of it. There is a bar on the lower cushion about 6” or 7” from the back that digs right into the sciatic nerve and causes horrible leg pain after about an hour of driving. The cushion foam has compressed severely. I am also experiencing quite a few bugs in The sync 3 system that the dealer can not find what is causing them.

No complaints
4 months of ownership on my 23 Corsair Reserve. It was a program car that I got a great deal on. First off, it's gorgeous in black with red interior. Totally drew me in. I get many compliments . It rides wonderfully, is quiet and quick. Yes you do need to learn the touchscreen controls but it's not bad. You can also control most things from the steering wheel as well. Everything works great. Not sure why some are so sour on this car. I have no regrets and recommend it to anyone looking for a compact luxury SUV

Can’t go wrong with a Corsair!
Great price, lots of options and great ride. Must check out.
Outstanding decision!
Great vehicle!
Great little car
It's easy to maneuver and very practical. The seats are extremely comfortable - more comfortable than our Mercedes E450. The ventilated seats and climate control overall are top notch! We live in Arizona so we need those to work well and they do. We have almost 40k miles on it and it's never had a single issue. The engine is peppy and provides reat gas mileage, too.
