I OWN THIS CAR! [non-permissible content removed]
Drives smoother and quieter than my 2021 RX 350. Phenomenal ride quality. Acceleration is buttery smooth. The bad: too complicated imho. Apple carplay only connects 1/2 the time for some reason? The Nav screen went blank once for an hour but came back after shutting car off for 10 minutes. The Park Asssist $200 option is a gimmick. Too slow to park, learning curve, and awkward. Don't need it. LOVE the car other than that though. Best car I've ever owned!!

So far so good
I’m used to Lexus/Toyota hybrids. They are the best hybrids in the business. My last car was a 22 Lexus ES300h UL and it was great. The gas mileage over a year(bought in Nov 2021) was 44mpg with the best tanks(2 total) at 50mpg. That was a 10hr drive to Gatlinburg and back from PA. I’m usually around town driving so I couldn’t get it out of my head that if the car plugged in it would be even better. I thought a few months after I got the ES, most of my driving could be done in EV mode strictly, but I did not want a fully electric vehicle. I looked at the new NX450h+ and was told our area would not get them. So I gave up in mid summer 22. Well, come Nov 2022 my salesman shot me text first to tell me that someone backed out of a new 2022 NX450h+(luxury) with all the options. We were now getting plug-ins allocated to PA. I was very hesitant and had a ton of questions. I have a new ES and don’t need an another new car, but now I have a chance to test out the theory of driving around mostly in EV mode instead of hybrid mode all the time. I test drove the NX without any charge for about 30 mins. Then drove it again when it got dark out. I always had a car so an suv was all new to me, but I loved it once I drove it. I figured I’m not going to know if a plug-in will work unless I take the plunge and buy it. It’s a rare opportunity one becomes available. Traded my ES and it has been great. I can drive around in EV mode like I thought 90% of the time. The car now has 1500 miles in about 4 months and I have used the gas engine a few times here and there, but have yet to fill up since the day I brought it home. The run flat tires are my least favorite. At speed and with the engine on, to me it’s like my ES or any Lexus. The ES had more “acoustic” dampening in the firewall behind the engine, but honestly it’s no louder once you’re at speed. The NX is way faster and since I’m in EV mode most of the time it’s extremely quiet. You hear more tire noise since the other noises are kept at bad. I noticed that in the ES as well. Charging has been great and the EV range is within a few miles if not very close to what it reads out. I’m truly happy with my purchase. The NX has changed my mind about suvs.

Very fortunate to purchase!
Likes: -plug in hybrid -vehicle build quality, interior layout -practical vehicle for daily commuting and long distance trips -Toyota quality and not worrying as much about high maintenance costs like Tesla or German luxury ev/ehv. Dislike: -the price was a little high but I am fine with it.

Best Car!
This is the best city drive/ commute car! Comfortable, fast and quiet ride on ev mode. You can drive up to 43miles(full charge) on EV mode! Part of interior door panel is plastic panel. Lexus should change to other material for better looking.

Excellent Vehicle
The 450h is my first Lexus. After driving German cars for so long there was a bit of a learning curve. The tech is well thought out and fairly intuitive. The gas mileage and EV range are outstanding. It’s comfortable, quite and discrete. The only negative is the app but that will continue to improve.

2023 Lexus NX 450h+ is a great car for my use case
This car is definitely a technology upgrade from our 2 year old Lexus. There are good and some not so good things about this depending on your likings. The shifter is a newer design with caveats. It moves from Park to Drive (versus Park to Reverse) when you pull the shifter towards the position indicators. It took a couple of near disasters to train myself to move the shifter forward to move to Reverse. This is by far the only serious complaint on this vehicle. I consider this a safety issue that Lexus should address. The digital rear view mirror is interesting, as it shows everything behind the vehicle without the obstructions of the car sides and rear window. The display screen is massive and the navigation screen really shows a lot of information. What I did not realize when purchasing the car is that the navigation system (cloud based) requires a subscription service. Lexus provides 3 years when you buy the car, but there is no mention of the cost after the first 3 years. The electric only driving is great and the range seems to be close to what is advertised. I have not yet had occasion to pay close attention to exactly how far I am going before the regular hybrid mode engages, but the range I have experienced so far is over 33 miles. And for me it means the gasoline engine is not being used in my daily driving. The overall mileage for the regular hybrid mode is around 37MPG according to Lexus. This is another thing I won't experience until I drive it more than 33+ miles without recharging. The car came with Run Flat Tires, which was a surprise. There is no spare tire. Came in handy when I picked up a screw through the sidewall on my third day of ownership. Highly recommend the offered Tire and Wheel Protection Package, which covered the entire cost of a new tire. The car moves quickly with a great feeling of acceleration even when not pushing down hard on the accelerator. When pushed hard it moves from 0 to 60 in around 6.5 seconds. Faster than I usually push it, but its nice knowing its there. Seats are comfortable and the ventilated seat option works well. For a car this size it is pretty quiet, but not as quiet as the RX450h. Overall I really like this vehicle and would probably buy this again.

such a great PHEV
Currently have about 8500 miles, maybe put in 8 tanks of gas. It's got some pep when in HV mode. Normal day-day it's stays full EV. Charges in 2hr from level 2 charger when drained. I have the F-Sport and the handling does tighten up in sport+ mode which is nice. The new Info screen is great, mainly use Apple Car play. If I had 1 grip is that you need to wait for apple car play will sync , before placing the car in drive. This takes 10-15 seconds. Seats are supportive, cabin is quiet. Best feature is the lane keep assist. It will drive itself at highway speed, just need to keep a finger on the wheel
Great milage lots of features d good self driving
This is my 3rd Toyota hybrid and this one is the best. Jam packed with tech features. Self driving is as good as my wife's tesla. Big enough in back to put 3 car seats across. I get 36 miles per charge and I mostly drive locally so I have filled up the gas tank two times in two months.
Love the fuel efficiency, hate the nav & screen
Fuel efficiency is awesome. However, the nav screen is very difficult to see due to washed out colors, small print, and glare. The menu is awful - it gets stuck and you can't get to where you want. Have had the car 2 years and haven't gotten used to it. All in all, I prefer driving my 2020 Rx.

Lexus quality ???
Comfy ride , issue with wireless charging , front door speakers are very poor ,drivers seat very high even in lowest position
Love, love, love my car
I have owned this car for two years now and have loved it the whole time. I have had issues with the android auto connect a few times, but the few issues that has caused do not outweigh the vehicle overall. I get anywhere between 37-39 miles per charge, depending on the time of the year. My drive to work is only 20 miles, so I use only a mile or two of gas each day. With that said, I average filling up only once every 2 - 3 months! The car charges to full at home with a level 2 charger in two hours. My average mpg is about 200. I can do my weekend errands on a charge and rarely use gas since I stay close to home. We have also taken this on longer road trips, it is very comfortable for a family of 4 with grown kids riding in the back. I do not regret buying this car and loved it so much that we bought my daughter the NX 350h. Since she is still young and living in apartments, getting a place to charge her car on a daily basis would not be easy. Overall the NX is a great size car and the plug in hybrid works very well. Toyota and Lexus have done an excellent job with this.

Best of both worlds!
First I'll admit that I'm biased. I'd wanted a RAV4 Prime for literally years, but since I don't live in one of the "green" states, was unable to get one. Then Lexus announced the NX450h+, and after some work, I was able to purchase one from California. I am VERY happy with my vehicle; the electric-only range is more than adequate for daily commutes, and I feel the 37 miles of EV range that Lexus claims is conservative; if you're driving 70+ MPH on the highway, then I get exactly 36 miles on EV only (there's a small town exactly that far away and back, and I'll often make a quick trip for steaks there). However, in town, when using regenerative braking, I'll get over 40. Basically, I plug in overnight a couple of times a week, and nearly all of my driving is electric only as a result. Also, this is a regular plug-in; I did not have to spend $300-plus for an electrician to install a 220v outlet. The Lexus app tells me how far along the charge cycle is, whether doors are locked, etc, and can remotely start the vehicle if it's cold out. The 14-inch screen for non-car apps is wonderful, responsive, clear, and slanted towards the driver so that it's easy to see and reach. The heads-up display is configurable, and while I agree with some that the controls are wonky to start with, computer nerds will rejoice as it's entirely configurable. I've set mine up with about 4 functions that I use all the time (phone calls, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and navigation). There are more, but since I don't use them often, I'm comfortable having to go through a screen or two to bring them up. Speaking of adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist, Lexus' version works WAY better than my last vehicle; it will actually work when in stop-and-go traffic, keeping my blood pressure down. Overall fit and finish is pure Lexus, meaning very well done. I've not owned a Lexus before, but they are well put together. The vehicle is VERY comfortable on long trips as the seats are relaxing but "hug" you just enough, IMO. Gas mileage on a nearly 2,000 mile trip (basically just a hybrid since I didn't plug in overnight) was still decent at 35-37 MPG, and that was with 3 adults, their luggage, and a dog the size of a small horse. We all got to our destination feeling relaxed (except for the dog; he wanted to drive and constantly was literally breathing down my neck). Finally, there's the Lexus/Toyota quality. Consistently at the top of the quality charts, I feel very confident that my vehicle will stand the test of time. That's something to consider when purchasing a vehicle with essentially two different drivetrains, as well as all the do-dad driver assistant features that are essentially software programs and mechanical parts that could go wrong, and would likely be costly to fix. I've had no issues with mine. Would I change anything? Yes, I'd make that heads-up display system easier to use to start with, although again I'm now happier with mine now that I took the time to configure it for my tastes. I'd also like even more EV-only range, but it's hard to complain about 37-40 miles given the competition out there, and as battery technology (solid state, I'm waiting!) improves, this will become less of an issue. Until that time, this vehicle is perfect for what I think is MOST people, especially if you live in an area where charging stations are few and far between, and the weather get bitterly cold (which cuts battery range by more than 30%...and let's not even talk about what it does for charging speeds). I'd also like to be able to plug in to DC fast chargers and charge at a faster rate if I'm travelling long distances. While the vehicle is able to plug into those systems, it's charge rate is not much faster, so it's not worth the time when on a long trip, especially when you're still getting 35+ MPG on the regular hybrid system. That's not a big minus, and honestly, most people won't care about that, but I'm just saying. Overall, I couldn't be happier! This vehicle is exactly what I hoped it would be, and several pleasant surprises, as well.
