I bought this car because I wanted some utility but not an SUV. The car is FUN to drive, very comfortable, at least for front seat occupants and is so different from anything else on the road. It's nice to have such a unique vehicle. I look forward to driving it every day. Steering/handling, and brakes are excellent and it has PLENTY of power for me vs. my old 4 banger. You can go 80 and feel you are not pushing the car at all. I am perfectly willing to but snows on in the winter for the RWD experience.

The acceleration literally just made me smile on my test drive. The comfort of the wheel and the sporty design won me over. I just feel happy driving my Lexus. If you want a car thats fun to drive, this is the one for you. I don't really even have to pounce on the gas to make this baby pass on the highway.

If you are looking for a big car that has alot of room to haul around cargo and people, then you shouldn't be looking for a sport sedan. But if you are truly interested in a vehicle that makes you part of the road then look no further. This car's ability to grip the corners at high speed is rivaled only by your local theme park. Its the most fun you can have in a car.

This is the most exciting car that I have ever owned. The cars' performance is outstanding. I get compliments where ever I go, especially from young people. I had test driven the BMW 3 series first. Believe me there is no comparison. The BMW's interior is very uncomfortable. The quality of the leather is very rough and hard, and the seats are like sitting on a wooden bench. It doesn't ride as smooth as the IS,nor does it handle as well. I am 53 yrs. old and driving this car makes me feel like 23! ok 33! I guess you can say it's like a LARGER form of Viagra.

My 2002 has 60k miles in less than two years. No mechanichal problems but cost per mile is high (17" tires). Snow tires a must. Overall, it is the best car I have ever owned, and without a doubt the most fun to drive. I have the 5 spd and wished it had a 6. Comfort zone is 75-90. Extreme noise at 50+ mph with back windows fully down. WOuld buy it again without hesitation.

I had always wanted a nice car for as long as I could remember. When I went to buy my new car I had never even been inside a Lexus. I loved the test vehicle that I used and when I actually got the vehicle I wanted in the color and extras I was in shock. It didn't hit me til a couple of weeks that I had actually purchased a Lexus IS300. This car drives incredibly, fast, comfortable, and it turns heads. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who wants a nice car and doesn't want to pay overcharges for a tag.

Good but not great. I think this car is going to have to step it up to continue to compete with the big boys. I think it looks a little to much like boy racer cars (i.e. civic and such). Does not really stand out in the looks department.

My other considerations when I was shopping for a car were: A4 3.0, BMW 325i. I finanlly picked the IS300 because of the quality and the value. A4 3.0 being significantly more expensive (however, it comes with quattro) and 325i being significantly slower and lacking in some features, IS300 provides the best value. It is an extremely fun to drive vehicle with the best handling after the A4. However, when it comes to reliability, I had to drop my bias for European cars and pick a Lexus which has the best name in liability.

I recently bought an IS300 5-speed Transmission: Being a previous owner of a Honda S2000, I was not overly impressed with the shifting in this car. The shifts could be shorter and just a bit smoother (less notchy). Mind you, I am comparing the 5-speed shifting with that of the Honda S2000's. Overall, the 5-speed manual drives very similar, if not better, than my friends 330ci. Interior/Exterior: Very nice, except for the plastic dash. Lexus needs to upgrade to some sort of rubber like the Audi's and Beamers. Exterior is Excellent! The smoked tail lights really help differentiate between boy racers and young professionals.

I just drove my home the IS300 sportsdesign in Thundercloud Gray color. All the bells and whistles that come standard on the sportsdesign minus the Navigation system. I swapped out the 11 spoke rims for the orginal 5 spoke style because I liked the sporty look of the 5 spoke much better. This Car is a very smooth ride, and fast! I drove the BMW330 and the Audi A4 1.8T. Forget the A4 if your looking for performance! The beemer was pretty even, but the Lexus was roomier in the front seat and just a much less old man feeling car. The all weather tires handle like rails. not sure what the big deal some make about that is. I highly recommend this car!

5spd auto "Sport Design", it is very tourqy for what it's worth. Excellant gearing, performance will not be lost due to poor gearing as seen in most autos. Smooth shifts, and tourqiness. 0-60 in over 7 seconds, you won't soil yourself but spirited enough. Handling is as good as it's going to get while maintaining a comfortable ride. Handles corners well, with slight body roll. Ride quality a shade behind the bimmers. Overall, im very pleased, even in 04 this car still recieves compliments. Options available for straight bolt on turbos, 300-500HP from stock internals, when warrenty expires.

I looked at just about everything - I ended up with the LEXUS for various reasons. It was different & not a million of them on the road like every other make. Handling was far superior that anything else out there & i did purchase the Sport Design but the ride was comfortable. Not stiff to jitter your bones & not so soft that your driving a caddy. Safety equipment was standard, great power & may i say proportionate power. navigation system freely available, excellent service from Concord Lexus, great handling & ride quality, uniqueness & proportionate power made me a sucker for the IS 300. The Navigation controls are well placed & far better than BMW & MERC

As a retired teacher, parkability, fuel economy, safety, reliability, capacity and comfort are important. The zippy performance and quick brakes get me out of tight spots. I can park it anywhere; the steering is responsive, and I can park in any compact space. I've had the car for three months and I'm still on my second tank of gas. I recently moved a couple of large boxes which fit in the SportCross just as easily as in my daughter's RX300. Interior trim is great, lots of fitted extras. A great buy for anyone who wants a manageable, economical, safe vehicle with more than a bit of style.

Classy yet fun! Lexus would have a hit a home fun if they offered a v8. I would die for a v8 coupe which is rumored to be coming out next summer *drools* I absolutely love the handling of this car the only downfall is the lack of power and I have a 5 speed manual! Also this car gets loose very easily be careful!

I have a Graphite pearl grey with a 5spd. It is great. I love the dash layout and the seats. Also the aluminum pedals and trim looks great (unlike that cheasy wood). The exterior is beautiful, I love the front end, and the Euro ligths look nice too.It handles great, and the engine picks up quick. The inline 6 is the same one that toyota put in the Supra.

I love the handling of this car and it does turn lots of heads. It's fun to drive and play with. It surprises alot of people it being a Lexus and Lexus not being really associated with sportscars. The hit the nail on the head with this one. Tons of aftermarket parts for it if you wish to personalize your ride. No regrets here whatsoever.

I just love this car! I never really enjoyed driving until now. The handling is excelent, engine and acceleration too. I barely touch the gas as I leave a stoplight and still leave everyone else in the dust. Some people say the back seat isn't roomy enough, I only sat in it once in the showroom and it seemed O.K. to me with better headroom than my friend's 2002 ES300. I love the way all the controles are designed around the driver so that the car simply becomes an extension of yourself. That was the number one reason I preferred it over the BMW 325i.

Its been 4 months and I'm loving every second I'm in it. Luxury plus sporty features, its just great. Has great handling, looks great, and built to last with that Toyota quality. The only thing is gas mileage. Your better off driving leisurely with it to get better gas mileage. Driving it all city would hit you in the gas budget really fast. Otherwise, I love my full package deal all leather. Comfortable and has good speed not great, but something a modifaction of an exhaust and intake can help.

The SportCross is a small wagon with a Supra engine. It moves like a cat and stops on a dime. Add a turbo and run with M3 BMWs but for thousands less. The car has an aggressive, naughty stance. Interior is sporty not luxurious. With the seats down, I have loaded five kitchen cabinets with room to spare. The rear floor lowers for added flexibility; there are several stealth storage areas and hooks for tie- down straps. Called the Altezza Gita in Japan, accessories, such as a roof rack, are available via importers. The SportCross is both practical and fun. If you want soft luxury get a different Lexus. If you want to ride a unicorn while everyone else is on a horse, get a SportCross.

The handling on this car is so impressive. I guarantee you a smooth quiet ride even with a 17-inch alloy wheel. I love the interiors! ... no hard wood, nice aluminum pedals, chronograph-style instrumentations and 6-disc CD auto-changer with 8 speakers and 240W power. And the exterior design ... perfect. The first of its kind having white (smoked) lights on both front and rear. Plus the headlamps is high-intensity. Did I mention the fog lamps and the homelink tranceiver and the 8-way adjustable seats in front with 2 driver memory? Guess what, all of those things ... standard! So forget what the oldies like ... This car is for the young at heart.

I was looking to buy a new car and was thinking Nissan Maximas, BMW 325i, Infiniti G35. I actually stopped at a dealership looking to see if they had any of the above models. They didn't, however I saw a silver Lexus IS 300. I knew this was the car for me! I am in Real Estate so I needed a 4 door sedan. I had a 2001 Toyota Celica. This was the best of both worlds. Luxurious sedan as well as high performance sports car. The steering wheel shift buttons are awesome! 0-60 in 6.7 seconds which is on par with a Porsche Boxster! It handles like a dream! The ONLY complaint is that the gas mileage is poor for the size car it is. Overall, it is a great car and I highly recommend it!!

This car has superb handling as it almost begs to be thrown around. The fuel economy leaves much to be desired but if you cared about gas then you would have bought a Prius. Styling is very good, but the interior instrument panel could be sleeker. This car definitely turns heads, more so than a 325i. I wanted a sports sedan with actual reliability and you cannot go wrong here. This is my first Lexus purchase and I believe I will stick with them after being very satisfied with my IS 300.

I have only owned the car for a week and I have already had 4 complete strangers ask me about it because they are thinking of getting one of their own. IS300 is sporty, classy, fun, and reliable.
