Good overall but has some weird hiccups
overall we really like the car and it has been well worth it. What we don't like are the small things where we have to restart the car to get something to turn off. it is almost like a glitch with the technology from time to time.
Hold On!
First off, I am sold on Kia. I've owned 3 of them, " telluride", "Sportage", and now a "Sorento". My 2023 Sorento is a pleasure to ride in and a THRILL to drive. I chose to go with the turbo version and I have to tell you, this thing will pin you to your seat if you nail it. That is not the only reason but was certainly a SUPER Strong point to purchase. I bought the SX Prestige model in wolf gray and black. I've already had many compliments on this car. The interior is luxurious and the ride is sweet. But the performance is OUTSTANDING! But that's not all, It comes with a leading industry warranty. You won't be disappointed

Love the Sorento!
I was impressed by the Sorento back in 2021, the first year of its current iteration. I had driven both the S and the top line X-line Prestige. I actually liked the smoother ride of the more basic S and found the rear bench seat more useful. The base engine seemed adequate. But in 2021 the dealers were not bargaining, so I passed it up. Fast forward to 2024, and I am driving an X-line Prestige. Better than I remembered. So smooth, quiet, powerful, and loaded with so much tech. Genesis refinement and tech has certainly been absorbed into this Kia. I actually find myself wanting an excuse to drive it. Haven't felt like this since my first BMW.

It was the right choice for me
It’s a rocket once you learn how to use the transmission stable ride, quiet ,handles Better than a grand Cherokee. Have taken it on quite a few long trips and it’s easy to spend the whole day in it. Visibility is excellent. Needs more padding on the touch points for your elbows 1/2 inch of foam can’t be that much more expensive than 1/4 inch. Plastic trim on the car appears to be clear coated because it is not scratching after many washes. outside door pillars are Getting spiderweb swirls
Enjoyable vehicle, but a few oddities...
Overall I am pleased with the 24 Sorento. The exterior is very modern/sporty. I have 10K miles on the vehicle so I have had time to evaluate. This is my first Kia - I feel they made a good vehicle but a few things keep it from being a great vehicle. Pros: Roomy cabin. I'm 6 ft. and do not feel cramped in front or back seats. (have not used 3rd row) Seats are comfortable Display and rear camera are exceptional handling is firm and responsive Peppy engine - smooth transition, quick acceleration I have only hand washed the vehicle, but the paint and finish seems to be above average A lot of helpful safety features Great warranty Cons: speakers/sound are only average. expected more driver assist warnings are annoying - no way to disable key fob is huge and bulky. button layout is a head scratcher (c'mon Kia) unable to use the inside door lock button- this is how it was designed, why even have a button lack of storage compartments in cabin A Lot of Wind noise on Freeway - cabin not sealed tightly Remote start range is weak and unreliable No way to visually see if vehicle actually started no running lights lit to indicate. Was NOT impressed with vehicle first time in snow if I could turn back time, would I buy this vehicle again....Probably. I really like it but don't love it. I was considering it's sister the Santa Fe - 2023 (2024 remodel of Santa Fe is bad).
