Used 2022 Jeep Renegade Consumer Reviews
Sweet Little SUV
Fun to drive around town.
BUYER BEWARE!!
DO NOT BUY THIS VEHICLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO FORK OUT SOME MONEY!! MY 2021 model is TRASH!! Would NEVER recommend anything fiat puts out. Since then, this make has ABSOLUTELY went downhill and turned to complete crap!! Terrible vehicle in general. Terrible gas milage, terrible model, and EVEN WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! This vehicle is known for their display monitors going out, which controls just about EVERYTHING in the vehicle. It's unacceptable that they have not put out a recall for the monitors, being it is such a common problem, and them KNOWING they are known to mess up. It made even more since when we contacted someone about a warranty on the vehicle and the first question they asked was "Have you had any trouble with your screen or monitor?" Why was that particular problem so relevant to ask?.... obviously there's something they know. The absolute worst vehicle I've even owned! Thanks JEEP and FIAT for your extremely [non-permissible content removed] vehicles you are putting out. Way to keep those customers morons.

So far so good
I was a little leery on purchasing a renegade after seeing a lot of negative reviews on various mechanics forums online and consumer reviews. However, I decided to pull the trigger on it anyway! It does remind me of a 2006 Liberty I had for about 10 years. I purchased the Limited trim package with the 1.3 l turbo engine. It does have some zip! I was annoyed by the auto shut off feature when you sit at a stop light but fortunately, my vehicle has a shut off button to get around that. It's fairly roomy inside. Nice leather interior, heated seats, navigation package, sunroof. The center console is a little small and the cargo area isn't huge but it'll work for my needs. I do wish it had a locking gas cap, I could force that potentially being an issue. It does have a nice ride, the suspension is pretty solid and it takes bumps and rough roads pretty well.

Expect to have a TON of issues
I’ve owned three cars all my life a used 1995 Ford t-bird that literally lasted with minimal maintenance except towards the end till I bought my 2010 Hyundai accent in 2013 that had minimal issues like a broken belt towards the end when I traded it in 2020. 2020 bought my current 2020 Jeep renegade with only 7 miles on it driving off the lot. I do tend to drive high mileage for work but we take it in for regular oil changes and the recommended maintenance. Since we’ve had the jeep we have gone through 4 batteries 2 within the last year alone ( all are “supposedly new” according to the dealership) most car batteries last at least 2 years in the Arizona heat, a malfunctioning seatbelt sensor that took a year to repair, the touch screen will randomly freeze ( when they installed the new sensor we informed them and they did an update that they said would fix the issue) guess what it’s still happening and just two weeks of taking the vehicle in for emissions and passing the alternator is almost dead. Had the car for about 5 years and have had more issues with it regarding needing repairs then I did with my 95 tbird or my 2010 Hyundai. I do NOT recommend Jeeps unless you are looking to reside at the dealership while they do maintenance because you will be there every month with a new issue.
