Beautiful Car, But Some Not So Easy to Spot Issues
I'll say the obvious, that the car really does look awesome and it is a comfortable car to drive. The problems I've run into with the Renegade Trailhawk is that the engine seems to be too small for the weight of the vehicle. I have an automatic transmission and it's slow to find a gear with the pedal to the metal. Sometimes while driving and letting my foot off the gas, there will be a hard shift into gear. It almost seems like a transmission problem. The garage might tell you it's a software update issue. Another driver mentioned that it eats through oil. This is also true for me too. I had to go in to get the oil topped off after a month of getting an oil change. Oil isn't cheap for this vehicle either. Just a couple things to think about before you go buying this vehicle.
Love The Jeep Renegade Trailhawk
I have owned 3 Ford Escapes and easily transitioned to the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. Worth every penny! Beefy, 4 wheel drive, Safe, Love the extended sun roofs, tight handling and sporty.

like my jeepers
When shopping for a jeep renegade make sure that you test drive it over many different types of road surfaces so that you know how it's going to ride and sound cause it is different. I first purchased a 2015 latitude 4x4 auto and could not be more pleased with the decision I made. I traded it in for a 2018 limited with many new safety features and improved ride and noise reduction. The tires that came with I traded in for a new set of Michelin X-Ice Xi3 which I like cause of the lack of road noise as well as great winter traction on all surfaces which is a plus because where I live we get over 180 inches average in the last 6 years of snow in the winter. I have had no issues or repairs in over 16000 miles of ownership on both models.

The jeep that could: the renegade
Awesome little suv. Great with snow an ice. The thing I would change is slips into manual just barely touching the shifter. Otherwise a awesome car. Great gas mileage. My 3 teens love it!! I love it!!!

2018 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk
I've had my solar yellow Jeep Renegade Trailhawk for 3 1/2 months and so far it is absolutely fantastic! This is the first Jeep I've owned and I am glad I made the choice of the Renegade over the Wrangler. For me the Wrangler was just too cost-prohibitive. The Renegade Trailhawk is basically a "baby Wranger" and is capable of doing much of the off-roading that a Wrangler can do, at least close enough for me anyway, as I don't plan on climbing Mount Everest or driving through the Everglades. Jeep offers fabulous incentives which is mostly why I decided to but a new car instead of gently used. Generally, I am wary of buying a brand new car due to the depreciation that occurs as soon as you drive it off the lot. However, Jeep's incentives enticed me as I got my Trailhawk with an MSRP of $31,000 for $23,500 out the door. For that kind of savings, I feel buying brand-new was the right choice for me. Coming from a Ford Explorer, downsizing to a CUV was a bit of a concern, however, I absolutely love the increase in gas mileage and handling compared to a loss of rear cargo space and rear seat leg room. Honestly, driving the Trailhawk is not noticeably different from driving the Explorer from the driver's seat and Jeep's comfort controls beat Ford's in my opinion. Th ride seems quite smooth for me even though the Trailhawk is geared more for off-roading than other trims. Of course coming from an Explorer, I am used to a stiffer SUV on-road experience, so I've noticed no real difference between the Trailhawk and my old Explorer in highway riding. As I said the only negative I've encountered so far is the loss of rear cargo space (not that I haul that much, so not that big of a deal) and the loss of rear seat leg-room (not that I ride back there, so, again, not that important to me). I would highly recommend the Trailhawk to anyone looking for a more fuel-efficient, 4 wheel-drive vehicle capable of moderate off-roading. I live in Northwest PA, so I am looking forward to seeing how the Trailhawk tackles the tough Lake Erie winter. Although, from my experiences so far, I don't expect the Trailhawk to have any problem effectively navigating the upcoming snow season. A+++

Too many issues
Update: No one would acknowledge the issues with this vehicle, although I had several videos showing them exactly what was happening. Push start, nothing happening. This happened over the course of several months 0f 2019. I traded it in for a much more reliable vehicle. I've had my 2018 Jeep Renegade Limited for a little over a year. Right after we bought it, we were traveling to another state, stopped at a rest area, ran in real quick, came back and the only volume on the radio was blaring. Had to sit over night before it corrected itself. Of course, according to the dealer, no other Jeep on the planet has done this. Now, starting this past spring, not even a year old, push to start, radio comes on, engine does not. Takes about 5 minutes before it turns over. Dealer has never heard of this either, will not give me a loaner because they say nothing is broken on my Jeep. Of course it won't do this when I've driven 40 miles to take it them, it has to sit. It has to be a cold start. I'm not wasting my day there, not to mention it doesn't do it every single time. I wish I had my Challenger back. I wish I had never bought this Jeep. Worst purchase. I need to trade this in before I'm stranded in a another town, too far away from my home.

Serious oil consumption
I have owned this Jeep Renegade for three months and 4200 miles. Two days ago it stalled out on the three times. I called the dealerships service department because no engine light came on. They said there have been problems and to heck my oil. The dip stick was dry! It has already burned through 5+ quarts!! I have been driving with less than one quart of oil!!!! I am beyond shocked! Why did no low oil dash light come on? This is a major issue! I am reading other complaints, so it isn’t just mine! Now trying to go through the lemon law is going to be a real nightmare! Something needs to be done!

Surprised
traded my 2011 mazda CX7 AWD Turbo in for the 2018 jeep renegade upland 4x4. First jeep i've bought and so far i am happy with it. handles well for a small jeep. i like the fact that i can change the traction control from awd auto to snow, mud, sand. pretty good in the snow as i live in upstate New York. not much cargo space but for my needs it's ok. the touch screen info system is a bit small for my taste but it will work and the back up camera display is small too. love the remote start. handles well off road, ie; gravel roads, unpaved roads. haven't done any real off-road trips yet but plan too. overall a pretty good little jeep for the money.

Thoroughly enjoying the ride!
I did have a rough start with my Renegade There was a loose electrical issue that took about 6 week to find & fix. But.... since then. It's been a THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE RIDE!! Live in Florida, drove it to North Georgia Mountains last month & she made me proud!!! She climbed those hills & handled those tiny little mountain paths!!

Wanted to love It
I just traded out of my 2018 Renegade Latitude at only 23,000 miles. I absolutely loved everything about that car, except the dependability(or lack there of). At 6,000 miles the body control module failed. I thought maybe it was a fluke in manufacturing, and I gave my Jeep the benefit of the doubt. Then, not long after my radio would stop responding. Sometimes when I would turn the car on it would stop at the initial screen and do nothing else, sometimes it would stay blank, and sometimes it wouldn’t turn off with the car or respond after. As if this wasn’t enough, just 2 weeks ago I got a low oil pressure warning for a couple seconds when I turned at an intersection. I thought maybe when I had the oil changed recently they didn’t put enough in. I considered there could be another failing sensor or a short somewhere too. A week ago I was driving down the road to a four way stop with my 1 year old son in the car when it freaked out. It stalled, the oil light came on, the engine was sputtering terribly, the power steering had gone out, the dash told me to put the car in drive to move, and multiple attempts of trying to turn it off and on again did nothing. 2 nice gentleman pushed my renegade to the side of the road and were shocked that I was experiencing this with a relatively new car. When we checked, the oil was almost nonexistent on the stick. It went to the dealership where they offered to do an oil consumption test that would run the course of 1000 miles. They said my engine could be bad because it had burned through 3 qts (what I put back in) or more within 2500 miles. I have never owned a new car that burned through oil. My father’s 2004 Ford Explorer that I drove for a time never burned oil. I told them I was not comfortable with the car any longer. I wasn’t going to risk stalling on the interstate with my son in the car and risking our safety. I took a small hit trading in, but I wasn’t going to stick around and see what would happen with that renegade. even if they did replace my engine, they would be putting the same 2.4 liter multi-air tigershark engine in. My guess would be in about another 20,000 miles I’d be needing another one, and that time it wouldn’t be warrantied. I bought a Hyundai Tucson instead, and I couldn’t be happier with the service and warranties!

Wow, What a surprise
Update: OK, I traded the Renegade after almost five years and can now say it was one of the best vehicles I ever had. It has never let me down. Heck I was still on the OEM battery in Montana. I put a set of tires on it and changed the oil and that was it. It is a perfect Montana car. It's a step up from a Subaru in terms of where it will go and how much fun you can have if you know where the Easter Eggs are. I put the seats down in back and it is a wonderful dog car, lots of room and they love it. The 4WD is a step up on the Suby. The "auto" button is right by your right knee so if you got changing pavement with snow then clear easy to push and go. Oh, the main Easter egg is sand mode for you 4wd people. Auto which some of you probably NEVER changed is nothing more than FCA/Stellantis way of maximizing CAFE standards and maxing out mpg's. Find a decent dirt road like the National Forest Roads we have here in MT and put it in sand mode. It will knock you socks off and it becomes a totally different animal with all the power in a narrower band with lots of omph, great downhill engine braking and even some decent drifting in wide corners. And now they are discontinuing it. So, there are some killer deals on it. I'm seeing one at my local dealer for 23K, and they now come loaded with the 8.4 screen blind spot monitoring and other safety stuff and power seats. If you do a search on cheapest vehicles there are like three that pop up. One is a Suby Impreza, the other is you base and basic Toyota and Nissan coupes, all in the low 20's. IF you live in MT, the Renegade should be your go to choice in my opinion. You live in a city, go with one of the others. Oh, it parks and turns on a dome. Great car... Sorry to see it go, both mine and it as a model. Update 1: I put Falken Wildpeaks on picked up an inch of lift and no longer have to worry about my tires. It is still one of the best vehicles I've ever had and it still surprises me at how capable it is. To be honest, if you live in a big city with lots of urban driving, there are likely better choices like a Subaru, but if you have dirt roads, hills and mountains and snow, snow snow, this is still your only real choice imho I got it to take the load off the truck and cut the gas bill in half. Check check. I've owned four Subys and have nothing bad to say about them, but wanted an upgrade in the 4WD living in Montana. Check. Big check. I sit high in it, looking down on Subys and and the rest. It is comfortable and upscale on the interior. I love power heated seats. I also waited till they were desperate to sell and got a 31+K latitude with everything except the sunroof including cold weather 8.4/Nav and full size spare/towing for 21,100. What I didn't expect was how much fun it is. Handling is quick/nimble love the fat steering wheel. Sand mode on Nat Forest roads is awesome. Auto 2wd less so but that is for economy, the commute. And the final vote goes to the dogs who head to the renegade over the truck. Two big 100 lb dogs, heads out the window comfy. I got it for practical reasons and am amazed daily on how much I enjoy it. The truck pulls the trailer and visits the transfer station. The Renegade everywhere else. Update: I continue to enjoy this vehicle a great deal. My only real negative is the headlights and the OEM tires...at least for Montana. I intend to add spots to it for deer and get more aggressive/snow tires. Fortunately, the brakes are fantastic as I specifically noted here a few weeks ago when an elk got in the road after dark down by Gardiner MT. It was close, but I didn't even kick in ABS. Very nice brakes. Snow mode is also very nice...for snow. It apparently cuts out first gear so you don't spin the wheels. It's very careful about torque. The Sand Mode thing I noted has only been reinforced by time. I do note it is very aggressively in the power band and has excellent engine braking coming down dirt roads...at speed. The "NON" Trailhawk 4WD is fantastic...well except for auto 2WD but I think that is intentionally designed for MPG to meet CAFE standards and they don't care what you think. The transmission in other modes is a different beast. Jeep should push it more over ALL other AWD systems. It's base line is a regular AWD system in auto same as the rest. Everything else is 4WD gravy. For example, the move from auto 2WD to auto 4WD is one push of the big round button. This is nice on mountain roads as you will move from shaded slick/snowy to sunlit clean pavement quite often. The button is right there ergonomically easy to get to. We spent four days at Yellowstone and the roads go from melted nothing to two or three inches of snow and everything in between. You will go for a couple of miles up/downhill in snow or slick and I put it in snow and it is great and one push when you hit the sunlit clean road and you are back to AWD auto. I really appreciated the transmission on that trip. I've seen the MPG increase about 1 mpg after 5,000 miles and I avg 23.8 to 24 by the puter as the engine is a bit more loose, not in a bad way. I did hit close to 30 mpg on one 400 mile trip across Montana highways at 80 mph a good part of the time, so that was very nice on the pocketbook. And at 80 mph... The Renegade is saving me $25.00 a week on gas...at least, over the truck. That's a good chunk of my car payment and wear and tear on the truck. As for storage while carrying two 100 lb dogs, well we got a Thule XL "SPORT" cargo box. It is the narrow one but you can still get snow shoes for two, cross country AND snow shoe ski poles, boots, a soft bag and a full size carry-on and coats etc into that. We also got the smallest Rhino Rack ski holders that will hold two sets of cross country skis. The tow package is nice as we also have hitch based storage expansion (cheap at Harbor Freight) or small utility trailer abilities (which I have). I do have to note that these Renegades handle quite nicely and coming from a pick up truck as a daily driver, parking and maneuverability are wonderful. It is quick and precise with that quickness having saved me once from someone coming over into my lane at 80 mph once. The car made the difference there. With the truck we would have hit... So, I have multiple times where I voiced my appreciation while driving this on the spot. So, I do intend to get some spotlighting for night runs, a must here in MT and better tires that will also give me about an inch lift and we will see on other mods. I have been VERY pleasantly surprised with my Renegade. If I had a choice, I'd get the safety add on "light package" that has the rear stop and the blind spot monitor (The others have less value imho) AND the new headlight package. Other than that, this is perfect. Still enjoying. I did get some directable spots and they make a BIG difference pointing just off to the side of the road spotting deer with enough time to do something about it. I aimed the drivers side so it is low and goes to the other side of a two lane road and not in the eyes of oncoming drivers. I just took the dogs on a national forest run to an old fire tower Strawberry Butte and a back road called McClellan Creek road and they loved it. Sand mode is really a bit of an Easter Egg for driving these roads. IF you ever go on a national forest level type "off road" put it in Sand mode. You won't regret it as it is like a completely different car.

Smooth and sporty
I've bought so many new cars in my years and compared to them, the renigade is sweat! Rides nice, looks nice, dashboard is like being in a rockship. Only downfalls is the leg room in the backseat and the lack of power going uphills. I'm looking to trade this in for a newer model. So many friends have said I want one!!!

Not the Jeep Product of yester Year
I have owned two wranglers before this. First I like the little Jeep. It is easy to maneuver and parallel park. The brakes are very sensitive and it rides well. I have 22,000 miles on it and have owned it for 1 year. It used to use a quart of oil every two thousand miles which the Dealer claims is within the acceptable amount according to the hand book. It now uses a quart of oil every five thousand miles, so I change the oil then. I have already had to have the center console stack replaced because the climate control, radio system, keep turning themselves off and on, and changing their settings. This has been even to the extreme of it resetting itself to metric readings. The fuel computer keeps freezing up and won't change for weeks no matter whether I am driving in the city or Highway. The interior panels keep popping off and have to be reinstalled. The dealer has replaced the panels with new hardware and they are now staying on. The center console still randomly, rarely will change the climate controls. The fuel computer is now working and shows that my mileage has improved. I have learned to live with all of the little nuisances of the vehicle. The transmission needs to be completely redesigned and the shift points reprogrammed. It makes the car seem under powered and sluggish. The quality on this vehicle could be a lot better from the factory in my opinion. I have owned the two Wranglers and four Ram 1500s. I will never ever by another vehicle product from this company. If I could get a buy back and my whole loan wiped I would gladly drive something else.

How much do I like my 2018 Renegade?
This Renegade is a great ride. It sits a little higher than your average sedan, but is easy to see over the hood and easy to park.
Horrible
I bought a Jeep Renegade 4x4 2018 and it was absolute trash. It was constantly in the shop or having some type of issues. It looks nice on the inside and outside, but mechanically, it is awful. The transmission randomly jerks hard enough to throw your head into the steering wheel. The key fob does not work half the time to unlock the door or be connected to turn the vehicle on even after multiple key fob replacements. The headlights randomly shut off in the middle of the night. The sunroof only closes when it feels like it. These are cheaper vehicles and you might think you are getting a bargain, but they are made with very cheap parts. I ran across many many issues with this car, even after having many different parts replaced MULTIPLE times. Unless you want to stay in the shop or spend more money fixing it than it is worth, I would steer clear.

At 20K miles, Capable and defect-free
At 20K miles, this little vehicle has been capable, reliable and without defect. It feels solid for such a tiny car. It's turning radius is unusually tight. It's driven frequently on non-paved roads and while never used to 'rock crawl', navigating washed out and heavily pitted surfaces hasn't been a problem. It has done well on sandy roads. For the more lead-footed, it's not a fast car nor responds well to quick acceleration - that's where the complexity of its transmission and little engine seems to get exposed. Otherwise, if you're not in a hurry the power is fine. It's been used to tow a small enclosed trailer (maybe a ton when fully loaded) and no problem - though it's not been towed on the highway up some multiple-mile steep ascent at altitude so it could struggle there. It can be parked in very compact spaces (like a crammed garage). The infotainment screen is a little clunky - it won't display the time if the radio is turned off, So it takes some menu navigating to get the time display moved to the center instrument console.

First time Jeep owner
This is my first time owning a Jeep, and I must say it's a comfortable ride, easy to handle which is great BUT has oil consumption issues! Uses 1 quart of oil per 1000 mls. Not good!! Jerks in low gear. From what I've read online both problems go together somehow. I bought it brand new, only 516 miles and had no oil the second day! How'd that happen!

Run don't walk
Great drive when no problems. I bought new 26 miles. At 300 miles towed to deal for oil filter cross threaded at factory. 500 miles faulty air bag system. At about 1800 it spewed gas all over me and ground at the pump, a common problem with gapless check valve reported at various forums on internet. At. 2800 miles it has used 3 quarts of oil, also a common issue reported on forums. Calling dealer today....and checking trade in value at non jeep Chrysler dealer.

Too many problems for a new vehicle
Great to drive, until it's not. Bought new 26 miles on it. Towed to dealer at 300 miles with oil filter cross threaded at factory, air bag system fault at 500 miles to dealer for fix. Gas spewing out on me at the pump on fill up at 1500 miles apparently a check valve issue in tank (according to youtube), at 2800 miles it has used 3 quarts of oil, haven't called the dealer on this yet but internet comments on this problem are not encouraging. Looking up trade in value, swearing off FCA vehicles.
Very capable little SUV!
It's a limited but has the Sport package. Has the 2.4 L which is great but not that great gas mileage. Has push to start ignition but no remote start! Nice Aluminum 17" rims with low quality All Season tires that handle very well in the snow up here in Washington state. I have no issues with my Renegade except that it being the Limited, it should of came with the remote start. Unfortunately it has the tiny Uconnect screen that's not all that great when trying to use the back up camera, but every bit helps! All in all, I drive through snow up hills with no issues, handles great and the cloth seats are extremely comfortable. I love my Renegade and absolutely recommend purchasing one!!!

2018 Jeep Renegade 2.4 9spd Auto 2wd
We purchased this Jeep to replace our long time 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 that served us quite reliably for 17 years so I went searching for another vehicle and wanted something that wouldn't break the bank and low and behold we found a new 2018 at a great deal and made the purchase and have been completely impressed. It may not be the best Small Crossover but it tries really well and is well put together, smooth ride, quiet with excellent handling for a crossover, super easy to park, Uconnect Infotainment is probably the best in the business, there are some quirks but those quirks are what make this car something special. We are empty nesters but it hasn't stopped both of our sons whom are both over 6ft tall from riding in the backseat comfortably on trips with us.

2018 renegade trailhawk
owned 3 years now so far and the only thing done is oil changes and tire rotations.been very reliable. initially i was getting around town 22mpg but after about 8 months it has slowly climbed to 24.4mpg and is holding steady. excellent winter vehicle with great traction. happy with lease purchase. lease was up this year and leased a 2021 jeep cherokee. turned in renegade with 32,500 miles. still original brakes and tires the trailhawk model came with 4 free oil and tire rotations which were performed at approx 6,000 mile interval. the only expenses other than lease payment in 3 years were yearly inspections, emissions and gas.

The little Jeep that couldn’t.
I’ve had my Jeep for almost a year now and it seems like I always seem to have a problem with it. About 3 months into me having it I already had 12,000 miles put onto the 26 miles that were on it when I purchased it. I was coming home one night driving at 45 mph and barely seen the deer that jumped in front of me but it gave me enough time to hit my brakes and dropped me down to 20 just in time to only tap the deer. Next thing I know my dash lights up and my car won’t start and there is coolant and other unknown juices spraying my windshield. I got it towed and after 3 months and $6000 later I finally got my car back. Two months later I get a flat because the stock tires were faulty. There is no spare in it so I’m stuck with it on the side of the road and had to get towed. There goes another $500. Then to add to my mess there was work being done on the local highway and the lanes were uneven when I went to change lanes a huge piece of plastic fell out from under my car. I had to drive home with the loud nuisance and weird looks. I couldn’t even pull it off because the other half was bolted on. I loved the Easter eggs and dual-sunroofs and it’s spaciousness but it’s way too expensive for a grocery getter.

Not awful but not the best...
I’ve had several cars and my renegade is one of my favorites due to the 4wd and technology in it, but other than that i can’t wait to get something new. It shifts hard, it’s extremely slow, gas mileage is not the best, AND it’s eat through oil like crazy!! I had my oiled changes and 2 weeks later my car shut off and was bone dry of oil.. same thing has happened several times. Overall i would not recommend this car to anyone
Engine replaced @40,000 miles
Engine was consuming oil at an alarming rate. Took it to dealer to confirm diagnosis. This car only has a 36,000 B2B 60,000 Power train warranty. As most cars that stand behind their product, have a 60,000 B2B/100,000 PT warranty. Let that speak for itself. Also, lug nuts were "swelling" says the dealer, who advised me not to pay for them to be replaced at the dealer, to save some money, go to the auto shop and buy 10 lug nuts for cheaper. He also told me this while I was technically still under my B2B warranty, but decided to leave that part out. Untrustworthy. My door speakers also went out at 40,000miles with normal use. I am trading in for a foreign car this week. Thank gawd my cousin is a mechanic and happened to catch the oil consumption problem before my warranty was up. The inside of the car is great, all the bells and whistles. But the parts, engine, and dealership are shady.

Sucks in snow with front wheel drive. 6006 mile and stock tires suck. Totally disappointing vehicle. No reflection on Edmunds but will not buy another. 12000 miles now. While 30ish seems good on MPG I still worry about snow.

Lots of Bang for The Buck!
The vehicle is well assembled, everything matches and no gaps. The engine, for a four cylinder, is peppy, the transmission is smooth. Driving in the mountains from sea level to 7000' is not problem. The interior is well laid-out. I am 6'5", there is a lot of leg-room. The cargo area, however, is small.

Loving my new Altitude
She’s the cutest shade of blue gray & came fully loaded with heated seats & steering. 4WD & a nice high perspective on the road. She doesn’t have as much power as my last car, but she’s perfect for me. I went in for the warranty just in case, but as of right now, she’s flawless.

The worst car I've ever had
The car is an oil eating MACHINE. I had to top off my car so many times throughout the months before the next oil change. The car fully turned off on me twice while driving on the road (!!!) in the first year of getting the car (I bought it brand new), and finally realized it was because it had no oil in it... I'm now at 114,000 on the car and the dealership finally suggested that it could be an oil consumption issue with the engine (after I've brought it in a million times and brought up this issue). I've never heard of this problem with it being my first car with this problem. They did the test and the car needs a new engine.. I'm over warranty for Jeep to cover the cost now of the engine so it's now deemed totaled by my insurance company and they are paying me out for the car... On top of that it also needed a new water pump for the coolant. The reservoir was completely empty and I had to refill it, which also was a reason I was adamant about my issues with my car and if there was anything to do. On top of this, the USB plug was faulty, it would disconnect from my phone all the time (i switched out the cord multiple times), and the screen would completely freeze or turn off for hours playing the radio and I wouldn't be able to turn it off or anything until it wanted to start working again. That issue happened early on in getting it and under warranty they switched out the screen and it still continued to have those issues, so nothing actually was fixed. One of the door stopped locking with the key fob & I could only open it from the inside as well. Just so so so many issues, and my biggest complaint daily was that it only has the 2 front cup holders and NONE for the back seats (besides in the doors). I just highly recommend choosing any other car besides this one. It's been a nightmare & multiple dealerships I've been to were so unhelpful. Please avoid this car. I was literally counting down the days for it to break on me, and it just so happens to be claimed totaled now 3 months before I'm done paying off my loan. save yourselves!

A lot of things to like.
I purchased the 2018 renegade trailhawk. It has not dissappointed. I have owned 4 jeeps. 2001 jeep liberty 3.7 v6, 2006 jeep liberty 3.7 v6 a 2018 cherokee which I currently own and the trailhawk renegade my newest addition. The trailhawk has out performed all of them. Even the cherokee. With its 180 horsepower 2.4 l 9a turbo 4 multi air engine. Plenty of get up and go. Decent gas mileage. I get around 18 city and around 28 to 30 highway. (Depending on how I drive). I have taken it up trails where I wouldnt take previous off road vehicles I have owned. It proved itself very capable. ( first vehicle I havent got stuck in.) This includes all three of the other jeeps. A Ford ranger 4x4 , dodge dakota high output 4x4 , chevy s 10 blazer 4x4 and ford f150 4x4 with a v8. This ride is well worth the money. I will be purchasing another one when I trade in my cherokee when the time comes.

Perfect for what I needed
I’ve only had this car about a week but so far it’s exactly what I needed. It’s small but, when driving, it doesn’t feel small at all. Plenty of room for my dog in the backseat. Fuel efficiency could be better, but I’ve been doing a lot of local driving so that could be having an impact.

this is my first car so i might be biased.
i like this car a lot. this is really my first car other than my family car i drove (2008 honda cr-v) until 2021 when i sold it. so all these upgrades - heated steering wheel, backup camera, etc. is very nice. the basic stuff is great. i love that it’s remote start, i LOVE that all windows have automatic features. the things i don’t like is 1.) no sunglasses holder/the middle console is annoying. it’s super small and came fir really anything because i have my sunglasses. and it has a weird long opening for idk literally only would fit a pen or a nail file. the front one by the stick shift is awkward to get into when the car is in park & its just too small and goes back too far deep into the car. which leads me into 2.) the inner console that opens and closes, is wack. you can pull it out but i still feel like it’s too short for me to rest my arm. this is extra annoying for me because this is how i drove with my honda for 10 years - with an arm rest on my right side. 3.) steering wheel is way too hot & i had to put a steering wheel cover on it to make it less intense. 4.) the heat is wack. it’s either way too hot or below room temp/chilly. i leave it on 70 & it’s not hot enough, 72 is like blazing. and i have the temps set the same for both sides. 5.) when i go to accelerate quickly, it takes a second/two seconds sometimes. 6.) i don’t like that it takes a second after you close the door for you to be able to press the lock button manually. however, i do like mr car doesn’t unlock as soon as i put it in park. 6.) weird blind spot in the back corners. the areas that would be marked as the blind spot, there’s support in the back corners. i understand but also don’t understand. i have fortunately been able to adjust my mirrors accordingly to see my blind spot with a lot of trial and error.
