Was a nice vehicle at face value
This car took me thousands of miles across the Southwest and never let me down in terms of basic reliability—oil changes were always done on time with full synthetic, and I stayed ahead on preventative maintenance: plugs, wires, injectors, and more were all replaced to ensure longevity. Unfortunately, despite all the effort, persistent alignment issues ruined the experience. Even after replacing struts, camber bolts, and other suspension components, it couldn’t handle off-road tires properly and I was forced to return to summer tires. At 152,000 miles, the catalytic converter failed and was replaced, but not long after, the engine suffered a blown head gasket and developed exhaust manifold leaks. However during its life it never seemed to have no major or even minor electrical issues, contrary to the JEEP acronym some like to say. Maybe I pushed the car harder than I should have, but with the amount of preventative work put into it, I expected better. The failure felt sudden and harsh—disappointing for a vehicle that had received such thorough care.

Jeep Patriot is GARBAGE!
I've been loyal to the Jeep brand for many years but this money pit is my LAST Jeep! From week one, I've had issues, many with the dealer trying to convince me that nothing was wrong. At 60,000 miles, when the transmission started slipping, I finally had enough and got rid of this heap of junk. Word to the wise...don't waste your money!

Horrible
Ever since my son bought it brand new back in 2015, he has always had this keep stall on him and not going into gear. Then after a while he would get it into gear. It is always dangerous especially when you are stopped at a red light and starting going when it turns green but the car would not go beyond the first gear and not speed up. He took it in many times but the dealership was not able to reproduce the same issue. Or is only once in a while this car does that. I am scared that one day when it happens a car will run into him because it is so sudden that it happens to stall out like that. I pray that this issue does not get my son killed. I wish Jeep would recall all these jeeps experiencing this issue from since the first weeks it was purchase till now. When I borrowed it once it happened to me and I was in the middle of the road under the changing light that caused lots of cars honking their horns to get me to move the car but the car would not go beyond where it was. I called my son and he told me to turn off the engines, restart the car and pray that it goes into the upper gears for you to drive it m. I did that and it drive regular as if it never happened. I swear if my son gets killed from driving this defective jeep, you will be sued and I will get a lawyer who will file a class action lawsuit against keep.!!! Everyone out there. Do not. Uy from this manufacturer and do. Or buy this car used even if it is at a five away price. It is much too dangerous to drive as it does not go into gear ever so often and one day with fast traffic, this could cause deaths. Maybe it has already and no one had realized it because the driver died and could not say what happened to the car! From: Scared to death for my son I that 2015 Jeep patriot!!! I wonder why the vehicle details below does not have the Jeep Patriot option? I believe it is because they know that this is a major problem with this Jeep! So the bottom vehicle details does not have this Jeep listed and I can’t I choose since it would not let me. They are a scam.
