Noisy Highway Ride !!!!!!

Nice SUV in many ways except for the excessive noise coming from the tires, windows, sun roof. The dealer is hard of hearing, so sad.

I bought this car in March 2022 and after three months, I am going round and round with the dealership for some or the other thing. Unexpected noise from the doors. Poor build quality. Front collision assist almost of no use. Had to apply hard brakes once I got in that situation. Poor technology. The screen went off, had to get the whole replaced. Again poor build quality. Auto start/stop not working, got it repaired 2 times already and will be going in to get it fixed the third time. Not well developed technology. It drives amazing but all these issues drives me crazy. 1 open recall and still don't have fix for that. Goes to dealership after every month for some or the other isse. Working with Jeep to get it bought back by them.

Will never buy another Jeep

By far the worst vehicle I have ever purchased it has been problem after problem. I set up an appointment with my dealership for one issue and by the time I get to my appointment date I have another issue every single time. Every mopar product I have purchased has had issues (2 chargers and 3 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s) but this is by far the worst. First the rear passenger door started to leak anytime it rained so I set up an appointment for that by the time my appointment came around I started hearing this annoying thumping sound at idle. They replaced the weather stripping and of course could not replicate the thumping so they did nothing about it. Fast forward a few months the thumping has gotten increasingly louder and my horn goes out so I set up another appointment, well don’t you know we get some rain and the door is leaking again. I take it in they have to order parts and of course the horn was on back order this was on a Friday. I pick up my vehicle to have it for the weekend Saturday I make a trip out of town and notice the bumper just under the driver side headlight is hanging off I push it back into place and it does it every single time I drive. Take it back to the shop Monday morning and tell them about the new issue they replace the purge valve and adjust the rear door and tell me they will have the body shop look at the bumper when the horn comes in. So far no leaks in the rear door but the annoying thumping was not fixed by replacing the purge valve though that was the correct place to start because it is the valve that’s causing the noise but it is louder now. I’ve had it with this car I will never purchase another mopar product again.

This car could never stay on the road and we a horrible ride when it actually ran. Electrical and fuel pump issues that Jeep could never solve, accompanied by comically bad customer service the entire time. Never again Jeep.

This car has so much room and rides nicely. The engine is fast on the highway and loves to run away on you. Not as a car around town, it is good for the suburbs and is difficult to park in the city. One thing I don't like is the key which you feel you need to know where it is at all times because you are afraid you might lock it in the car. I do like the AWD and really had 4 wheel drive since 2005 and might of used on-demand four-wheel drive maybe twice.

I purchased my certified pre own jeep July 2023 with 34k miles, three months later I picked up the kids driving home and the vehicle just shut down. There were no warning lights or anything, the vehicle cluster indicated shift vehicle to park, once the vehicle stop this happened automatically. Fast forward a week later I was told the engine locked up. Second opinion obtained not the issue. Three week later they are unable to get the vehicle to start and there are still no scannable codes present.

I love Jeeps I have always gone with Jeeps but I have to say I prefer the Jeep Grand Cherokee over the L SUV. The engine on the Jeep Grand Cherokee feels with more power than the L SUV. The L SUV advantage is somewhat more technologically advanced.

Run far far away from this vehicle update 3/12/25

3/12/2025 Update: run even further from this absolute piece of garbage. The designers and engineers need to be fired and hire new fresh faces that can rejuvenate this half dead company. Certain problems have returned such as malfunctioning heated seats. The vehicle lurches forward when engine is cold in about 50 degree weather. So that’s fun. The computer had to be completely replaced. Numerous recalls. One of the which they can’t even fix yet. This is absolutely insane. This vehicle should have never been allowed to exist. Never will I ever spend money on a Chrysler/Fiat brand ever again. They follow the tradition of “it’s good enough” mentality from the 1980’s. I think the same people from the 1980’s are still making all the decisions which is wrecked this company. I will be purchasing Japanese vehicles moving forward. Which is a shame I took pride in owning an American vehicle but the quality and reliability doesn’t exist. It’s 2025. Time to make a reliable car. Leased from brand new. Nothing but problems from the very beginning. Steering alerts. Passenger seat wouldn’t heat up. Stealerhsips resposne was “it’s a jeep” Electronic systems failed. Stealership said they resolved it. They didn’t. So back in the shop again for I think the 5th or 6th time. The idea of owning a vehicle is to be able to use said vehicle. Not sit in waiting rooms and be denied loaner vehicles. The absolute second I can get out of this nightmare I will never consider an American made vehicle ever again. Absolutely disgusting.

2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve 4dr SUV 4WD (3.6L 6cyl 8A)

The car is actually pretty cool: feels like a Range Rover with high end stitching and nice features including air suspension. The radio went out in mine after they sent a software update over the air and the dealers are almost worthless when it comes to fixing it, corporate is worse, jeep customer service is very rude and it's nearly impossible to get it fixed. I have the summit reserve with the 5.7 and it feels good except it does rattle in 7th gear in the steering wheel. I'd recommend buying a different make for those reasons. Perhaps from a brand that gives a little more care to customers who buy $70k+ cars.

I love my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L but I wish that they would have made the titles of each dash board button or switch bigger and brighter so as they would be easier to see. Like maybe make them magnified or in a more above the dash location. Sometimes I catch myself driving down the road and looking for the right button below the computer screen and almost going off the road because they are hard to see as the title is in very very small print. My L has had 7 factory recalls but all were minor issues and easy fixes and some did not need to be fixed on my vehicle. Overall I love my JEEP as it is my 4th one and I buy them because JEEP has a great reputation..

We live on a dairy farm and needed a dependable vehicle that could get us where we needed to go no matter what the weather. Our JEEP has got the job done.

The inside layout of the vehicle is done perfectly.... And the exterior looks amazing... And that's about where it ends. Its been in the shop already 2 times with less then 5000 miles on it. I previously owned a Jeep Cherokee Limited and absolutely loved it but needed more room. I would love to have my old Jeep back. There is always a light on the dash lit up for something. Doesn't like to drive in snow storms, it just likes to chug. The defrost never keeps the windows clear. The screen resets multiple times every time you drive it and the wipes and tires they come with are complete junk.
