A Black 2005 Jaguar XJ8L: Everybody's " Dream Car

Timeless! I cannot think of a better word to describe the look, sound, and class of the 2005 Jaguar XJ8L, especially the series made in England, as mine proudly states on the glove compartment cover. While it has been my "Dream car" for as long as I can remember, I have been a proud owner for over three years. The design, with its distinctive "leaper" cat on the tip of the hood, sends an iconic message as distinct as its mesh grille, steel rims, wood-paneled interior, plush high-grade leather polished seats, well-positioned display panel, and dashboard gauges. To say the "ride is smooth" would be like comparing Muhammad Ali to a "good fighter" or referring to Secretariat as "a fast horse." The words are too limiting. While upkeep can be more than the costs for other modes of transportation, when all things are "go," there can be no comparison to the ride, handling, or response from the public when you're out for a ride, regardless of the occasion. I am constantly surprised by the "thumbs up" signals I get from other drivers. Regardless of the year, model, or make of the vehicle they are driving, whether it be a Bentley, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Lexus, Cadillac, Tesla, etc., they all rarely miss an opportunity to compliment me on my choice, the obvious upkeep, and the classic style that never goes "out of style." I knew it was my "Dream car" long before I was an owner, but I had no idea how many others, male and female, still harbor the same feeling. John Milton Wesley... Columbia, MD/ USA

great car to drive... lots of gadgets, can be confusing. Bucket seats could be more comfortable. Excellent fuel mileage, up tp 32 mpg. Superior exterior finsh. Very steady at high rates of speed and difficult to stay within speed limit.
