Updated after 6 months of ownership
UPDATE 4/19/22 After 6 months of ownership, I decided to sell my E Pace to the local Jaguar dealer. The good news for me is I got most of my money out of it plus I drove it for 6 moths and mostly enjoyed it. So why did I decide to sell it? Ok, this car is a blast to drive and is super sporty. But after 6 months of ownership, the following are my updated observations: 1. The tech and safety features are barely acceptable by today's standards - I was aware of the limitations, but after driving it for 6 months I decided to look for better options 2. The visibility (for me) in the vehicle is not great when I'm backing up or merging and looking over my shoulder trying to see past the B pillar. Again, for me, I feel like this is a safety issue 3. The transmission engagement with the engine seems a bit off and jerky at times 4. The ride is not as good as I originally thought when I was smitten by the sexy lines and pep of the car. It rides nice on smooth roads (all cars should) but when the road gets a bit rough, you feel it for sure and then it is not an enjoyable driving experience. 5. The back up camera and info screen are dull and poor quality; the back up cameral is almost useless. Original review Much of my review of my 2019 Jaguar E Pace P 300 R-Dynamic SE will be subjective and my opinion, but that is what most reviews are. I drove a lot of compact/subcompact SUVs before deciding on the E Pace. I have owned many vehicles in the past from domestic to imports and base to luxury. I like a vehicle that rides and handles well, is quiet, has good build quality and feels solid. I was looking for a smaller SUV but one that was well equipped – vented/heated seats, HUD, upgraded seats, good audio system, etc. I test drove Audi Q3 and Q5, Acura RDX, MB GLC, Buick Envision, Volvo XC 40, Volvo XC 60, Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy, Cadillac XT4, and the Lexus NX 300 F Sport, and of course the Jaguar E Pace – the lesser horse power P250 as well as the P300. After driving the E Pace, I really liked it. I went back to the local dealership to drive different E Pace models 4 times. This car is a blast to drive. I did not find the HP difference between the P250 and P300 to be that significant, but it is notable. I decided the E Pace was the best option for me but not the ones available at the local dealership. I was looking to buy used and again, had specific ‘wants’ in an E Pace. I found the 2019 that I bought that was a Spec build for the original owner, beautiful white exterior with the black exterior trim package, mars red leather interior with 18 way vented/heated seats, HUD, upgraded sound system, and 20” wheels. I say all of this because there is a huge difference between a base or stripped-down E Pace and one that has nice options – but that is no different than most cars. Prior to making my decision to buy the E Pace, I had read several on line reviews (including ‘expert’ reviews) and watched many YouTube videos regarding the E Pace. Many of reviews when comparing the E Pace to the competition (and I drove most of the competition) were indifferent at best and negative at worst towards the E Pace. It seems that most of the issues, however slight with the E Pace were in the first year of production – 2018. In no way did I feel these negative connotations towards the E Pace. So bottom line, the following is my impression after driving my E Pace for the past week for approximately 700 miles. 1. The vehicle is beautiful and elegant - exterior and interior 2. The build quality is solid 3. Excellent paint 4. I refer to the interior as simple posh – fit and finish is very good, nice materials with very good leather seats 5. The car is quick and handles well and wants to keep going faster 6. The ride is ‘sporty’ – it’s not soft but not rigid 7. The car is relatively quiet with little wind and road noise (I’m very picky about this) 8. The upgraded Meridian sound system is very good 9. The tech – acceptable and ok for me but if you demand the absolute best and quickest tech and that’s a deal killer, this may not be the car for you 10. The front is fairly spacious, not so much in the back seats- adequate for adults for short trips 11. There is only a fixed pano-roof option – if that’s a deal killer, move on Do your research, drive lots of options many times, and make sure you are under factory or extended warranty!

BEWARE
Won law suit against Jaguar & got rid of it. Worst car I ever owned (Owned 7 luxury previous to this). I was “sold” on “not mass produced & attention to detail”. I’ve now owned it 25 months & only have 25k miles on it (I typically do 35k+ yr however it’s either not driveable or I’m in a loaner). This thing has been in the shop over 20 times. It still doesn’t start after being in the shop numerous times for this issue. It has had many many issues (including needing new control arm & bushing at less than100 miles). All I get from dealer are excuses for the car failures. They no longer offer the valet service I was also sold on so it’s 2 hours round trip for me (4 hours total for each time in service) 😡. Self employed & it’s my reputation when I’m constantly late for appts due to car failures. Pre Covid I had top Corp execs in this car & it was embarrassing. Drove to FL & had to have it fixed before I could drive back home. 😡 Stay away... far far away from Jag & sister company as they do not stand behind their product. I would have rated Zero stars but that’s not an option

big disappointment!
Bought this car without reading reviews due to its captivating looks. Engine fan sound is like a moulinex juicer, seats are starting to wrinkle (leather) transmission replaced already, gear kicks on acceleration and deceleration better than roberto carlos and air conditioning fan changes speed on its own! All that topped with bad customer service and incompetent mechanics that don’t know how to fix the problems...you can imagine how it is like!
A suv that thinks it is a sports car
This car has had poor reviews but you can't believe reviews. My E-Pace is nimble and comfortable. I get compliments daily It stops on a dime and moves out fast when you have to get around quickly. The controls are not complicated. The gear shift is easy to use. It also has regular tires -not run flats-and a real spare. It has every option you would ever want and it rides smoothly. I was just in a 2021 Audi Q7 and I like my E-Pace better. It really does think it's a sports car. UPDATE: I had a jag XK 150 coupe in college a long time back. This suv is not a coupe but it really handles like a sports car, It turns on a dime and brakes quickly even at high speeds. I can feel the road and it can pick up and go very fast if needed. It has a beautiful black metallic paint that shows specks of green in the sun. I can start it with my phone and it will run for a half hour. It has a cell phone holder which is convenient. I live in Florida so I enjoy the cooled seats. I do have quite a bit of optional equipment on this car but it was worth it. I would highley recommemd this vehicle.

Love the Jaguar E-Pace
I have only leased this car for a short period of time, however, so far no problems at all. It is fun to drive, and even with the smaller horsepower turbo engine there is so much pickup even from an initial start. Plenty of power merging into highway traffic. I am driving the S trim with lots of added options. Adaptive Cruise control works very well. Leather seats are very comfortable. Lots of standard options even on the S trim, but recommend upgrading to the Meridian sound system. My model has park assist, however, it is a bit more difficult to adapt to than the park assist I had on my previously owned Mercedes. Enough room in the back seats for 2 adults even when the front seats are pushed back a bit. The storage space is smaller than my wife's Audi Q5, but with the back seats down plenty of room to go shopping at Cosco and spend my usual $350 for more stuff than I need! The interior trim is not as fancy as some other luxury SUV's, but the reason to buy this car is the way it handles - especially steering and acceleration. The warranty and service maintenance is for 5 years or 50,000 miles and is included with the price of the car. The one option for this car is a fixed glass roof with sunshade, but I generally have never opened the roof even on cars I have owned that had that functionality. I test drove several other SUV models before deciding on the E-Pace, but this one sold me because of the way it drove and the number of standard options included which are usually extra on other models. Also, the current lease deals are virtually at 0% interest rate. Virtually no wind noise on the highway. After I drive this car for a few thousand miles I will update this review.
