Transmission Issues on 2106 Hyundai Tucson Limited
The problem that I am having is when I start to accelerate going through the gears 1,2,3 and 4 there is a huge, pause/delay in shifting through the gears. In fact there has been may times when I start to accelerate the gears pauses and I hit the gas again and the vehicle does not accelerate at all the RPM's go up sometimes past 6 and the transmission start burning. I even got an safety display message that the transmission is overheated and to pull over for safety until it cools down. Note I only have 5719 miles and my 4th time taking it back to the dealership for service. I am driving in fear everything because this problem happens when it wants to sometimes the vehicles drives perfect then the next minute I'm having the same issue. This problem is happening at a street light, stop sign, stop and go traffic on the streets and on the freeway, when I am slowing down to make a turn then accelerate and in the morning, afternoon and at night. I am afraid when I start to accelerate then the next second I cannot accelerate that the car behind me or if I am changes lanes and stop accelerating than another vehicle will crash into me. I don't know if the problem is the actual transmission and or software related, but it is unsafe and I do not want to drive this vehicle anymore.

Lemon!!!
This is the worst SUV I have ever purchased. I just had my third recall on a transmission issue. Car jerks and feels like it is going to stall frequently. The car is loaded with options... back trunk opens on its own while driving and stopped, front seat had to be replaced after 1,000 miles. Car has 18,000 miles on it. Dealership is awful they pretend the problem does not exist or frequently blame it on lack of driving ability. Look for another SUV.. for $33,000 you can find something a lot better. Getting rid of it!

Buyer beware!
This car is not safe. Dual clutch transmission will end up hurting somebody. Vehicle will unexpectedly stall and put people/families in danger. Dealerships are not able to respond to customers. Not an isolated problem (see reviews). How is there not a recall on this vehicle? Vehicle is currently at dealership (shop)...I don't expect it back anytime soon. I really hope my dealership steps up and takes care of this....looking at a Subaru Outback.

Turbo Terror
I recently leased a Tucson Limited. --This SUV looks nice from a stand still view. However the TURBO -CHARGER is a terror. When I try to get on a busy hi-speed highway and merge into traffic . the TURBO Charger -/engine all but stops. and I get left sitting in a hi-speed lane with NO POWER. This has happened several times both to MY WIFE and I. It has been back at the dealer for several days . no fix yet. Stay away from this vehicle

Safety issue-car does not accelerate after stoppin
Brand new Hyundai Tucson purchased February 2016. Weather turned hot in June. Car would not accelerate at all after stopping at red lights. Foot on accelerator all the way to the floor. Tachometer reving but car not going. Happened numerous times. Car brought in June 29 and kept by dealer at manufacturers request. Finally contacted by corporate. They state it is a "software"issue in the dual clutch transmission and they now have a fix. Turbo engine has significant lag even for a Turbo. They are still selling 2016 Tucson 1.6 turbos and now 2017 although the fix has not yet been validated and is not ready to install. Those cars at the dealers still have the faulty transmissions and are not safe to drive. If stuck at a light, stop sign, making a left turn, or intersection you run the risk of being hit and having a catastrophic accident because your car esssentially is not in gear and cannot accelerate forward. You are a sitting duck!
