2021 Calligraphy - Good comfy car with small flaws
I had 2019 Nissan Altima SV before Santa Fe. And I like Santa Fe much more. In city rides I use Comfort mode because of softer steering. On highway - I prefer Sport mode because it makes steering wheel firmer. Also I had strange clicks inside my steering wheel, on turning it. So I brought the car in service with it. Comparing to the Altima, it goes straight in the line on highways. And there are no issues with infotainment system. And I like control buttons as well. Nappa leather seats are very comfortable compared to the Limited trim. But leather had 1 defect on it. Head-up display and forward parking sensors are must have in the car now for me. And of course I like Santa Fe style wit 20' wheels. But be aware that with 20' wheels you will feel road bumps. So I am thinking to change 20' to 18' wheels on my Santa Fe in some future. And I agree that transmission is not perfectly tuned. Sometimes it is not smooth as expected. But anyway I think it's a good car for a small family and for travels. By the way Calligraphy is not equipped with the spare wheel and with the pocket behind the driver's seat.

Window Cracks
April 2020 I bought a 2020 Santa Fe. About 6 months in Windshield developed small cracks. The dealer and Hyundai said it was environmental. I traded it yesterday for a 2021. Today I noticed same cracks in windshield. Monday I will visit the dealer and see what they have to say. Otherwise I really like the car.

Warning: Battery issues
I bought a new 2021 in January and it has less than 5,000 miles on it. The battery has died not once, but TWICE in the last two months. Dealer won’t replace battery because it’s still “under warranty” and has given me the ol’ “I dunno” shoulder shrug excuse both times. I’m now afraid to drive the car anywhere far from home. Hindsight is always 20/20, but I’m seriously considering dumping this practically brand new vehicle for something more reliable. Either way, I’ll never buy another Hyundai again. Ever.

Midsize but mighty
Midsize but mighty - I bought a Santa Fe Limited. It has amazing safety features, great pick up, and is super stylish. It’s a very comfortable ride. I love the panoramic roof.

Not much to not like.
What are my biggest gripes? The center front seat armrest does not come forward enough to enable the driver to hold on to the wheel while placing ones arm on the rest. From an aesthetic point go view the car should have had dual exhausts. I have had heard complaints about the transmission but to me this is the finest performing auto tranny I have ever driven. It snaps through the 8 gears like I was shifting it myself. My previous car was a 6 speed Audi Q5 and there is no comparison. The Hyundai performs better and smoother hands down. The 2.5 turbo performs exceptionally well due in large part because of strong torque at over 300 Ft/lbs. The seats are comfy with excellent rear seat space and the car is loaded with amenities. Further. I decided on this vehicle over the Mazda CX9 because of superior engine performance, a more up to date transmission, a panoramic sun roof, no third row of seats and about 4 grand less. I would highly recommend
