After driving sedans for 53 years, TheSanta fe calligraphy is the best overall car, suv I have even driven.Everything about is incredible. The way and handles and rides, the braking and all the comforts of the seating and the great sounding radio.I got lucky to get this great suv at a great price in Feb 2021 when leasing was such a great deal.On top of all this is how reliable the car is.I never felt as secure as I do now driving the Santa Fe.Since I got my Santa Fe prices have gotten out of hand and like many other cars, suvs their value has fallen, hopefully prices will come down and an suv like the Santa Fe will once again be a great car to buy.

Nice features hate the drive

As soon as I took it on parkway traveling 65mph the vehicle swayed and drifted. Lane assist was on as well. I was sure something was wrong. Brought to dealer. Said nothing wrong this is how the electric steering works. Having to constantly steer to keep car straight is a totally unenjoyable ride. Feels like there is wind constantly floating vehicle from side to side. Not happy. In town fine. But travel at higher speeds not a good ride at all. Do your self a favor test drive over 65mph before you purchase.

I love my new Santa Fe Ultimate Calligraphy. But now we have a rattle in the dash that sounds like huge bumble bees in there. Does anyone else have rattling issues in their dash???

First of all let me start by saying if you’re in the market for a vehicle take reviews like mine with a grain of salt. Most people who go online and post only post because they’re upset or angry the majority of people who are happy never get online and post about their vehicle. Having worked in the auto industry I can tell you there are people that by half $1 million cars and get a vehicle with problems. That is just the inherent nature of buying anything with thousands of parts which if any of them go bad can cause an issue. In fact if you look at the total number of problems per vehicle manufactured across all brands, It’s amazing to me that there are fewer problems than there actually are. On to the Santa Fe. This vehicle inside appears to be worth much more than its price. The materials fit and finish or excellent. The cabin is nicely laid out. All the materials are quality soft touch materials wherever the touch points are. The instrument cluster LCD is phenomenal, and the 10.25 inch infotainment system is nicely laid out and easy to use. While the upgraded Hartman Kardin Stereo system has good sound and is better than the entry system, It will not blow anyone away.

High hopes

I really had high hopes for this vehicle. I came from an Audi q5 and the interior comfort seemed to be on par. But that's where the comparisons end. The turbo engine and transmission have been a problem from day one. Lots of transmission and engine lag. Transmission shudders when engine finally wakes up and puts the power down. Check engine light at 2,000 mi and dealership had to contact the tech line because everything is so new no one knew anything about it. Now have a rental car and waiting to have a new car back...not even a month old. Driver side headlight has a severe blind spot... Hyundai said it is normal. Rear wheel out of alignment from the factory causing the vehicle to drift at highway speeds. Door trim loose from the factory -- broken clips. And the kicker is you cannot get a tow hitch for it, although Hyundai advertises on their website there is one and the dealership assured me they could install one...only reason I bought the vehicle because I needed the tow hitch to put a bike rack on. This thing will be traded as soon as I can. Filed a complaint with Hyundai, which was absolutely no help. Huge disappointment.
