Best Vehicle I Have Ever Owned

2020 Hyundai Palisade SEL 4dr SUV AWD (3.8L 6cyl 8A)

I absolutely love this car. Best bang for your buck in the 3 row SUV market. The Drive Guidance option is well worth the upgrade on the SEL trim. Bigger touchscreen fits the overall look a little better. Plus the Highway Drive Assist makes it super easy to cruise on the highway, so smooth, it practically drives itself and if you want to take back control, just turn the features off.

Noisy cabin

Purchased my 2020 Limited in June 2020 I now have 5300 miles and am experiencing severe wind and whistling noise in the cabin. Apparently this is a common defect in this model as well as the 2019. Hyundai did issue a TSB (technician service bulletin) regarding the issue in 2019. However upon my trip to the local Hyundai dealership today I was told that there was nothing that could be done to correct the problem and Hyundai had cancelled the TSB finding that the fix does not work. I was told that if a solution is found that they will be in touch. Very disappointing for such an otherwise fine vehicle. I will be going back to my Toyota Highlander in the future.

Pricing, performance, and luxury= Palisade

In a comparison between Honda's lineup (including Acura their luxury line) we decided on the Palisade. I would encourage all potential buyer to take an objective look, compare the price and performance in this suv class, and you will not be disappointed. Although I'm not an expert, these reports of wind noise are - in my opinion - are overstated. That's based on spending many hours in an Acura MDX.

Great Vehicle - DON'T BUY - Hyundai can't support!

Hyundai can't support this with parts. Our windshield got smashed due to debris (350 miles from home) and has been waiting 6 weeks on a windshield. I'm told another 4 weeks likely before I get it back. 10 weeks without a vehicle I'm paying Hyundai for - not right. Many solutions exist to keep me a "Happy Driver" (term from their website), but they have offered NONE. Consumer affairs case open for weeks now - no resolution. Vehicle is great, but it is only as good as the company that stands behind it. (They also have a class action suit for windshield issues.)

Luxury made affordable

We were in the market for a new midsize SUV and tried out the Lincoln Aviator, as our first choice. Our second choice was the Kia Telluride. Our third choice was the Hyundai Palisade. After driving all three, we chose the Palisade over the Kia. The Aviator, although very plush, couldn't even compete in ride comfort. It was much more powerful than the Palisade or the Kia and also $20K more expensive. The Palisade had the identical ride characteristics of the Telluride. The Kia may have appealed to me initially, but when we test drove the Palisade, we immediately fell in love with the much more luxurious looking interior. The layout of the controls is much more intuitive than those of the Telluride. The exterior is, although subjective, a more luxury oriented design than the Telluride, which is more leaning toward a rugged look. What finally made us choose the Palisade, was the better interior, as that is where we will spend the majority of our driving experience.
