This Brand has come a long way from the Pony days
This review is from Canada. So the model up here is the Preferred AWD Class which would be the SEL AWD model in the U.S. It has been about 2 months that we have purchased this vehicle and love it. It does cost 30% more in Canada due to the exchange rate of our currency. It is still worth every penny. Pros: - 5 year Powertrain warranty - Look and design - Good engine power - Turning radius is good for a bigger vehicle - The room - both cargo and human - The cloth seats ( Comfort and Quality ) - Standard options like heated seats front and rear - Heated steering wheel - Safety features brake assist, lane departure, and blind spot sensor - Electronic gear selector, no manual stick shifter ( more room in cockpit ) - Back seat alert, reminds you if something is in the back seat. - Ease of access into third row ( folding seats ) - Rear door window shades - Dimming rear-view mirror, with garage door opener - Automatic parking brake when needed - Auto shut - off at stop light, ( This can be turned off at anytime ) Cons: - should have power rear lift gate - should also have the bigger media screen like the higher class model - should have navigation, like the Kia Telluride in the same class - Can't lift windshield wipers on snowy nights - A little more road noise in cabin than my 2019 Kia Sorento. Wind noise sound coming from driver side, can be heard in the car while driving. We haven't had much snow yet to comment on the AWD, but I'm sure it will work fine. Most of these Cons are minor and related to preference and can be lived with. Vibration noise in one of the front speakers. Also the face of the radio is pealing around the edges, but under the surface plastic. Took it in to the dealer they wanted $800 to fix it, and, they would cover $400 and I would have to pay the other half. I found that a little excessive and did not get it fixed. Radio still works. After saying all this we still would recommend this vehicle. After 4 and a half years of ownership I still like this car. The 6 cylinder is peppy! A lot of SUV's now day's don't even offer a 6 cylinder. The only thing they should improve is the wind noise that you hear in the cab while driving especially on the highway. Hyundai has also had two minor recalls, and has been good at notifying me. In saying this I would still recommend in the purchase of one of their vehicle's.

Not ready for live
Avoid this company at all cost. They continually refuse to help on the extensive problems we have had with the 2020 Hyundai Palisade. Just search Palisade wind noise and smell on google. You should never need to visit the dealer 4 times for the same problem service engine light before you get to 1400 miles. A lot of problems with this new model. Corporate assign a representative (Paige) that was basically useless. She said up front there is not much they will do. From the start I was nothing more then a problem she needed to get off her books. Just recieved a message from her that basically said sorry about your luck. This company may be good in other parts of the world but here in the US they do not stand by their product.

Luxury vehicle for regular price
The Palisade is by far the best medium size 3 row SUV out there. Not only by comparing to the highlander, Telluride, Explorer etc but also when compared to Volvo, BMW, Mercedes, Lincoln and Acura. Our previous cars are BMW and Mercedes. We believe in quality and piece of mind and always stuck with 'luxury brands'. We keep our cars for 5-7 years so always prefer to buy new from the dealership for the warranty. Our first experience with Hyundai was purchasing Hyundai Tuscon for our daughter a couple of years ago. Was and still is a very positive experience; reliable, great service, safe and comfortable for what our daughter needed. Before buying the Palisade, we researched every 3 row model in the market. We immediately narrowed our choise to medium size 3 row and not the large size so I am not comparing the Palisade to the Lincoln Navigator but rather Lincoln Aviator. The considerations for us are: 1. Safety 2. Reliability (how often will it break and how will the manufacturer and dealership handle the issue). For a new car it is based on past performance and not the specific model. 3. Interior luxury and comfort (including road noise) 4. Technology (how advanced to how many USB ports) 5. Exterior look - obviously more of a personal taste. 6. Drive performance (for the SUV, we are not looking for a street racer but strong enough to keep you safe. Sometimes you need acceleration to complete a pass and stay safe). 7. Price (while the Palisade offers GREAT value, this was important but not in the top 5 for us). The Palisade 261 points out of a maximum of 280 points. That was the highest score for us with second place being the Lincoln Aviator with 224 points. The Palisade scored in the 1st or 2nd spot in all categories. With the obvious comparison to the Telluride, we prefer the outside look of the Telluride but the inside luxury of the Palisade is several levels above the Telluride and is truly up there with top 'Luxury ' brands. Safety features includes every passive and active technology that exists. With less than 100 miles that we drove the car. It is obvious that Hyundai spent a LOT of time designing the interior. From the already advertised multiple USB plugs to things like being able to fold the 3rd row seats from the driver seat using the infotainment screen (we purchased the AWD Limited trim). Ride is smooth and quiet. Handling is superb. Lots of space on the inside but doesn't feel like driving a tank. Technology includes every feature you can think of. Touch Screen is responsive and very fast. Every feature is configurable from the setup menu. As for price, it is truly a bargain. I have e no doubt that next year they will price it higher. They also don't try to upsell any features. When you buy the limited trim every option is already included. Even the basic trim has lots included. Hyundai could have easily put the Genesis logo on the Palisade and charge at least 20k more. Highly recommended

2020 hyundai Palisade out class new Genesis GV80
While it is true there are several things which need to be corrected on this first Palisade, There is no better value on the market. The ride is very smooth compared to many other SUV's. Even comparing it to several lower end luxury SUV's. The first few had some wind noise around the front doors and windows. That problem seems to have been corrected and it is now a quiet ride. My gas mileage so far is above the ratings for highway driving, way above. 27-28mpg. There are only a couple of things which need attention. Power folding auto dimming mirrors, Better back lighted push buttons for infotainment system. Back lite over head console buttons, an active suspension. Real wood trim. If these were added to the palisade it would blow the Genesis GV80 out of the park. Yes GV80 may have power second row sun shades and the Palisades are manual. GV80 head rests are 4 way power How often do you adjust the head rest's. second row seats are power down and power up, Palisade doesn't have powerup, But then the GV80 is a two row SUV which you can order a third row seat big enough for your wife's purse. Palisade has a usable third row that have a power recline on the limited trim. They may not be the third row seats with the most room in the class, But very useable. Safety and features are one of the best in the industry you will pay 15 to 20 Thousand more to get these features on another SUV. You owe it to yourself to check out this SUV before you buy a different brand. Yes even the Genesis GV80. If you have big pockets and want a name brand badge, by al means look at Lincoln , Mercedes, Audi and the likes. Other than those save your self some money on an SUV you will really enjoy

As good as the Germans
I was originally looking at the X5 and GLE. Would have paid 20k more and had less features than the limited Palisade. They didn’t even drive significantly better. A week in and can not believe how much I love this car.
