Hyundai No Longer "Fixing" Wind Noise

Beware Buying a Palisade!!! We purchased our fully-loaded 2020 Palisade 01/2020. We had heard of and were concerned about the wind noise on both front driver and passenger side windows. Our dealership assured us there was a Hyundai bulletin about the noise and a "fix" that would take care of it should the wind noise bother us. Our beautiful new Palisade was evaluated a few days after we took it home by the dealership service department, and of course, our wind noise concerns were validated by the service manager and parts were ordered to perform the fix. A couple of weeks later, the parts arrived, they called to schedule the "fix". SURPRISE!! When we took the car in this morning for the scheduled appointment, they let us know that Hyundai Corporate has ceased repairs on the wind noise problem. BEWARE! Don't find yourself in this same situation - a beautiful brand new vehicle with a bad wind-noise issue! Hyundai has decided they WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THIS WIND NOISE ISSUE!

Love it...except for the Wind Noise

I have had my 2020 Hyundai Palisade for one month, and have put 2500 miles on it. I absolutely love my vehicle except for the wind noise on both the driver and passenger windows. I did take it into a service center, and test drove another Palisade only to find the same thing. Seems to be a definite issue with a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. Sure hoping Hyundai comes out with a fix for this! Would hate that to ruin a great vehicle! On windy days it’s horrible!

Loving my new Palisade!

I searched for the last 2-3 months to find the right car that fit me and my family. I found it in the Palisade. I had narrowed the decision down between the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade. Ultimately, I choose the Palisade. The car rides smooth and I love the luxury look and feel inside and out. The Palisade also offered second row captain seats on the SEL version. The gas mileage has been around 24.5 miles per gallon. I also love the room between the second and third row. Overall, I am so pleased with the Hyundai Palisade.

Great vehicle

2020 Hyundai Palisade Limited 4dr SUV AWD (3.8L 6cyl 8A)

Researched and drove all mid size 3 row SUVs, the Palisade was head and shoulders above the rest (domestic and import). Drive and comfort was top notch and tech is best in class and easy to use. Only complaint I noticed researching was wind noise while driving 40+ mph and honestly if you have the premium sound system on level 2 sound, or have small children which should be popular for this class of vehicle, you don't even notice it anymore. Great rig, don't have a biased opinion or loyalty to 1 brand, give it a drive and be impressed.

This review is from Canada. So the model up here is the Preferred AWD Class which would be the SEL AWD model in the U.S. It has been about 2 months that we have purchased this vehicle and love it. It does cost 30% more in Canada due to the exchange rate of our currency. It is still worth every penny. Pros: - 5 year Powertrain warranty - Look and design - Good engine power - Turning radius is good for a bigger vehicle - The room - both cargo and human - The cloth seats ( Comfort and Quality ) - Standard options like heated seats front and rear - Heated steering wheel - Safety features brake assist, lane departure, and blind spot sensor - Electronic gear selector, no manual stick shifter ( more room in cockpit ) - Back seat alert, reminds you if something is in the back seat. - Ease of access into third row ( folding seats ) - Rear door window shades - Dimming rear-view mirror, with garage door opener - Automatic parking brake when needed - Auto shut - off at stop light, ( This can be turned off at anytime ) Cons: - should have power rear lift gate - should also have the bigger media screen like the higher class model - should have navigation, like the Kia Telluride in the same class - Can't lift windshield wipers on snowy nights - A little more road noise in cabin than my 2019 Kia Sorento. Wind noise sound coming from driver side, can be heard in the car while driving. We haven't had much snow yet to comment on the AWD, but I'm sure it will work fine. Most of these Cons are minor and related to preference and can be lived with. Vibration noise in one of the front speakers. Also the face of the radio is pealing around the edges, but under the surface plastic. Took it in to the dealer they wanted $800 to fix it, and, they would cover $400 and I would have to pay the other half. I found that a little excessive and did not get it fixed. Radio still works. After saying all this we still would recommend this vehicle. After 4 and a half years of ownership I still like this car. The 6 cylinder is peppy! A lot of SUV's now day's don't even offer a 6 cylinder. The only thing they should improve is the wind noise that you hear in the cab while driving especially on the highway. Hyundai has also had two minor recalls, and has been good at notifying me. In saying this I would still recommend in the purchase of one of their vehicle's.
