Used 2020 Hyundai Palisade Consumer Reviews
Hyundai No Longer "Fixing" Wind Noise
Beware Buying a Palisade!!! We purchased our fully-loaded 2020 Palisade 01/2020. We had heard of and were concerned about the wind noise on both front driver and passenger side windows. Our dealership assured us there was a Hyundai bulletin about the noise and a "fix" that would take care of it should the wind noise bother us. Our beautiful new Palisade was evaluated a few days after we took it home by the dealership service department, and of course, our wind noise concerns were validated by the service manager and parts were ordered to perform the fix. A couple of weeks later, the parts arrived, they called to schedule the "fix". SURPRISE!! When we took the car in this morning for the scheduled appointment, they let us know that Hyundai Corporate has ceased repairs on the wind noise problem. BEWARE! Don't find yourself in this same situation - a beautiful brand new vehicle with a bad wind-noise issue! Hyundai has decided they WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THIS WIND NOISE ISSUE!
Love it...except for the Wind Noise
I have had my 2020 Hyundai Palisade for one month, and have put 2500 miles on it. I absolutely love my vehicle except for the wind noise on both the driver and passenger windows. I did take it into a service center, and test drove another Palisade only to find the same thing. Seems to be a definite issue with a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. Sure hoping Hyundai comes out with a fix for this! Would hate that to ruin a great vehicle! On windy days it’s horrible!

Loving my new Palisade!
I searched for the last 2-3 months to find the right car that fit me and my family. I found it in the Palisade. I had narrowed the decision down between the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade. Ultimately, I choose the Palisade. The car rides smooth and I love the luxury look and feel inside and out. The Palisade also offered second row captain seats on the SEL version. The gas mileage has been around 24.5 miles per gallon. I also love the room between the second and third row. Overall, I am so pleased with the Hyundai Palisade.

The perfect family car? Pretty much!
I read hundreds of reviews for years before deciding on a Hyundai Palisade. Let me give you the highlights of why and a few cons. First off, even taking away all the crazy features, I would've bought this SUV for how it drives alone. I didn't want a huge SUV, but I still need room for kids, dogs, guitars, and baseball bags. Let's not forget about Costco hauls too. This car fits it all, but drives like it is a small 2-row SUV. I don't know how they got it to not have any body roll when cornering. It is so smooth and easy. I just plain love it. My husband loves to test it's limits and "drive it like he stole it", and according to him it drives better than an Acura RDX. I also love the interior and the features. I chose the light tan interior and it is GORGEOUS! I love showing my friends and seeing their reaction. It's pure shock. This car was made for a comfortable ride with families and I appreciate all the "mom" features it has. Want to know if your kids unbuckle or move seats? It's got it. Want to control their AC in the back? Got it. Want to check to make sure they are keeping their hands to themselves or talk to them through the speakers? Got it. Last thing I love about it is how it has shortcut buttons for the safety features. It's like Hyundai recognized that some of the features can be a little annoying if it is dinging and alerting all the time. So if you're on your A game and paying attention, there is a quick on/off button on the side of the steering wheel for several of these features. Okay, so a few cons I have found in driving it for the last 2 months. First is the material of the door handles. I have the limited trim with a matte chrome finish. It's nice when it's clean, but that isn't very often. I will have to see over time how it holds up, but honestly it is covered in kid finger prints and water spots 99% of the time. It's a magnet for any and all dirt and oil on hands. It also feels very hollow and not like a solid door handle. Second con is the speaker cover. It is a cheese grater in disguise and I will skin my knee during shorts season. Might be just me and the way I get into the car. These few cons are not a deal breaker to me, and this car has exactly everything I wanted, plus a ton more. I would highly recommend it be on anyone's short list. 2021: Several things have started to not work randomly. Of course nothing consistently so I can take it in. I have a front camera that’s a blue screen, shifter malfunctions, and a radio that randomly blasts so loud the speakers could blow. Each of these issues have only happened twice and correct by turning the car off. 2024 Update: Still going strong! No major issues, and I had honestly forgotten about the technical issues I listed above. It’s been a great vehicle for my family. I think the biggest gripe has been the sensor windshield wipers. Mine is not the best, but maybe just my vehicle? Anyway, If you are trying to decide between this and the Highlander, good luck. Don’t think you can go wrong with either one.

Great vehicle
Researched and drove all mid size 3 row SUVs, the Palisade was head and shoulders above the rest (domestic and import). Drive and comfort was top notch and tech is best in class and easy to use. Only complaint I noticed researching was wind noise while driving 40+ mph and honestly if you have the premium sound system on level 2 sound, or have small children which should be popular for this class of vehicle, you don't even notice it anymore. Great rig, don't have a biased opinion or loyalty to 1 brand, give it a drive and be impressed.
