Used 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Consumer Reviews
Best car I've ever owned!
I have owned nearly 30 cars, and the Genesis Coupe is by far my favorite. It's comfortable, fun to drive, reliable (no problems after 30,000 miles), and it looks great. Hyndai name or not, this is one of the best values for the money, and one of the best sports coupes - period - on the market today. It may not be the fastest 0-60, but it sure is quick, and it has amazing handling characteristics. If you are looking for a PURE sports car that is liveable & reliable, this is the car for you. I can't wait to drive this car every day!
Bang for your Buck
Alright first off* I owned nothing but 4door Sedans with All Wheel Drive (AWD) with turbo. If you are transitioning from that kind of rally platform this might be tricky for you. This car is Rear Wheel Driven (RWD). With those things to consider, the Genesis doesn't handle like those platforms-- You don't drive the car in that sense, it drives you. You trust the vehicle with all its electronics (e.g. safety, track control) and also the entering and exiting of turns etc. The rear window feels like driving a 350z or 370z where the visibility is INCREDIBLY low. HOWEVER, if you ARE transitioning from that platform there are way more positives than there are negatives. The interior is amazing if you get the Grand Touring 3.8. Leather seats, Navigation, AMAZING sounds, everything is customizable from the screen. The driver seat is adjustable to your height and comfort. The passenger has A LOT of room, Plenty of foot space, and if they wanted to be on their laptop its VERY spacious for them, however can't say the same for the rear seats (There's seating room but not too much space, but what do you expect? its a 2dr coupe. You should be lucky there's even seats back there *ahem* Nissan 350 *ahem*. This car is fun, its fast, AND it was very affordable.

Great car with nice powers and acceleration.
For the price and reliability this is a nice lil sports coup. I will maintain and keep it for the fun driving and great looks, it ages well. Will be getting a everyday car but tinkering and upgrading the Genesis for the fun.

FLYING OUT THE WINDOW..
This car was my first brand new car I have owned and I had it for a year and one month. I have decided to trade it in. Within the first month the back tail light had a small hole and water was getting in, so I had that replaced, At about 10 months the driver window rotator burned out so my window would not go all the way up and I had to get that replaced. Lastly I was driving back from a road-trip when I hear the "helicopter noise" a car makes when a window is open. I look at my side mirror and see the small backseat window FLY OFF! It literally de glued and flew off the car in the middle of the highway! Clear as to why I am now trading it in. I really loved the car :( w/out all this.
Fun but unrefined
The car is fun to drive and look at, but has many flaws. I've had multiple transmission problems to include a total replacement at 4200 miles. Traction control doesn't work all the time, the bluetooth radio is horrible as it syncs and won't allow calls until complete (which can take 15 minutes each time you get in the car). The paint on my hood had to be buffed and polished due to it being "soft", the speedometer is inaccurate, and Hyundai refuses to act on many of the issues. I would not recommend this vehicle and am in the process of using the lemon law on mine.
