Infotainment System Broken

As other reviews have mentioned, the infotainment system has known errors that Honda will not fix. In the middle of a six hour drive, the infotainment system along with the display behind the steering wheel kept resetting itself. Among other things, we lost the GPS and our speed. When we finally got to our destination we turned off the car and when we turned it on the next day the infotainment system remained off. Even when it is working there is a horrible popping noise in the speaker so you can't enjoy listening to music. Also the TV in back is choppy and unusable. This is completely unacceptable in a new car. The worst part of this is that Honda knows about this problem and is doing nothing to fix it and continues to sell cars with this defect. This will be my first and last Honda.

Pilot Elite is a truly Elite-better than MDX!!

If you go Elite you are getting your Money’s worth Especially when you compare it to the top levels of the MDX, trust me, I test drove both MDX and Pilot Elite, bought the Pilot Elite. In reality, it’s only the difference of about $6-7k (pilots being cheaper) and Pilot Elite comes with more bells & whistles... ex. Panoramic Moonroof, Blu-Ray (vs. DVD in MDX!) and HDMI in Pilote Elite(vs. old school video component-mono, video, audio inputs in MDX—one word- Ridiculous!) ... as far as everything else it’s all the same features with a he exception of a lil extra plush seats in the MDX and the Acura tags and your paying more for in reality less! No thanks. I love this vehicle... I got it 3 weeks ago for my wife and we already took the family in a road trip, kids loved it, we loved it! Led lights, wireless phone charging, usbs everywhere( test drove Audi Q7 which lacked USB’s big time not to mention no rear entertainment and more $$) ventilated Sears, captain chairs, panoramic roof, power folding mirrors, the list goes on.... This Pilot is Supreme!

I love my new Honda Pilot with all its bells and whistles, especially the heated steering wheel, heated seats, DVD player, and cabin talk. It almost drives itself.

I purchase a brand new Honda Pilot Elite 2019. It has been nothing but problems. The speedometer and dash console keep shutting off mid-drive, the audio pops and crackles all the time and randomly shuts off, the infotainment screen shuts off. It has been to the dealership 5 times for over 45 days and it's still not fixed. The worst part is that Honda did not offer to buy the thing back! They want me to keep driving a car that has the speedometer shut off mid-drive repeatedly! Having to file lawsuit to get them to take responsibility. Used to only buy Hondas. Never again! Stay away from this vehicle! Honda is struggling!

Snow weather travel. :(

When this car and others like it travel in snowy conditions and don't get to park in a heated garage overnight do NOT expect it to start in the morning. It will need to be hauled, not towed, to a dealer so it can thaw out then run just fine until the next time you want to start it outside. It seems the engine is so good at heat dissipation it cannot conserve enough to keep itself from becoming an iceberg. So sad. Other than that we love this SUV.
