Used 2015 Honda Pilot Consumer Reviews
Perfect except for gas mileage
Bought this brand new. It has hauled LOTS of cargo/building supplies or a spouse, three dogs in cages and a weeks worth of camping gear with room to spare. Added a roof rack/basket for even more room. It has worked tirelessly with little complaint or problems. The rear window opens separately from the tailgate which has been a godsend when hauling long cargo like 2 x 4 x 10's. The only item replaced was the left-front visor light unit where the whole unit had to be replaced, not the light itself. I'm not a fast driver nor do I do a lot of off-road driving (except for search and rescue calls) and the Pilot was up to the task there as well. I've never had any issue with the ride or lackluster pickup. My only complaint was the gas mileage--that I knew was marginal going in to the sale. I have easily gotten my money's worth from the Pilot and am selling it mainly because I am interested in a more fuel efficient vehicle (a CRV hybrid). At 93000 miles--I'm quite satisfied.
Trouble Free and almost ten years old
I did what a previous blogger did...and that was to buy a 2015 Pilot before they changed the body style. I like boxy because that is why I drive an SUV...for practicality. The 2015 has practically as much volume in back as a Yukon. You can't beat Honda engines for reliability. Bells and whistles aside, the most important attribute any vehicle can have is that is gets you from point A to B. Why waste your day off chasing mechanical problems. The few times I have had mechanical problems with Honda products over the years the parent company stepped up and made things right. I wish our U.S. auto industry would learn that lesson. They should be making the finest cars in the world but they keep losing out to more motivated manufacturers. This my third Pilot and no complaints.

2015 Honda Pilot
Great dependable, spacious, still trying to figure out all the technology in it. Wish it got better gas mileage, but It has all the features we were looking for in a large SUV.

Bearing failed under 36,000 miles
Purchased a Honda Pilot 4WD Touring back in 2016 at a Honda dealer, comes with 9,000 miles, certificate used car etc. Was running great, then after a trip, humming noises and vibrations happened. Took back to Honda dealer, got the bearing replaced, also tires replaced due to uneven worn out in one side. Even that it still under warranty (< 36,000 miles). The bearing failure seemed a common problem for all Honda vehicles. I owned another vehicle i.e Honda Accord 2010, it's also had a bearing failure after 60,000 miles, and had to pay to repair. There may be a design problem, which is weight balancing is one side heavier than the other, and that caused one side bearing worn out faster than other side.
