Big Problem
I have had my 2012 Honda Pilot for over two months now. The first day I drove it from the lot (I test drove a different car and picked mine for color-so never drove mine) There was a loud humming noise when the AC compressor kicked on. The dealership replaced the Power steering twice (at 200 miles and 600 miles) Needless to say, the humming noise is there louder than ever. I filed a vehicle defect notification with Honda. I received a letter saying they are going to attempt to correct the problem for the third time. He said it should lower the noise but not eliminate it. I am so upset. I feel like I live at my dealership/service dept. I wish I never bought this 2012 Pilot

Love this car great for kids and family trips. Love the comfort and just enjoy having this SUV. Love the back up camera so easy to use. Very last row of seats short on leg room.

Dont buy the pilot
I bought the 2012 Pilot because of its reputation for being both dependable and reliable. How wrong I was. The car has 500 miles on it and wont start correctly. Honda aware of problem and offer no solution. Customer service is horrible. I've been told to keep turning the key until the engine starts. "It's safe to drive." No one from the company will put any of this in writing. Buyer beware !!
Raise your kids with it!
The Pilot has everything a family of 6 needs and stuck around from birth through high school! The spaciousness, safety, and low cost maintenance is exactly what a family is looking for. Love HONDA!

2012 Honda Pilot Touring
Hmm. Let me think what problems are wrong. ENGINE IS VERY LOUD! HAS NO GETUP! SHUTTERS WHEN ACCELERATING! PARTS IN THE INSIDE ARE FALLING APART! I have taken care of the pilot but it is built cheap! It is reliable though but not quiet like a ford.

Can't Shut Off All the Beeps!!!
I've owned this car for quite a while and although it’s a sturdy and dependable car - everything beeps and you can't shut it off. Every time you press any button there is automatic auto feedback - you know - I've realized that I've pushed a button and I don't need the car to tell me. Also, the beeps are very loud and there is no way to adjust the volume or to shut off the function. So, I wind up not using most of the stuff because it just beeps all the time. I use my iphone instead. Honda should fire the engineer that designed all the beeps you can't shut off. As an update to this review, I haven’t found a way to shut off the beeps. I would not recommend this car and wish I never bought it.

Hurray Pilot
The Pilot is a decent SUV. The acceleration is pretty good for an SUV though you really have to rev it if you want the full power of the startup torque. Highway driving is fun with this vehicle as the gear changes are smooth. Spacious interior with quality leather and the foldable backseat help since I carry heavy equipment with the work I do. I don't really use the entertainment much unless I have friedns with me. The Nav system works well and efficiently. My only issue with the vehicle was for a while, the Hold button on my key wasn't opening the trunk and I had to do it manually. Then a week later, it would work, and then stop working. But now it seems that problem is gone.
Southern belle that came North
I have a 2012 Honda Pilot Touring that I purchased in 2018 from a friend in NC. The vehicle only had 60,000 miles on it and it was 6 years old. Some wear and tear on the body and some other items that needed attention. Overall it was in great shape and had never seen a winter. I’ve taken great care of it and have added some interior and exterior touches.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR HEADACHE
My third Honda, a 2012 Diamond Pearl Pilot, has a paint defect that Honda won’t acknowledge and extend warranties to fix. The car will be on the road for 10 more years, but the car will lose all of its paint in 5 years. Honda refused to recall the car or reimburse consumers who unluckily purchased this particular year and color. Oh, I paid more for the Diamond Pearl color. What a joke. Moving on to Toyota or Hyndai.
