Used 2006 Honda Pilot Consumer Reviews
Just the facts 01
Ok, bought it on 7 Dec, PH-Day, EX-L RES Silver Pilot. Drives nice, 60 miles, round trip every day. As of 9 Dec 05, 159 miles, 19.27 MPG. More updates to follow. Almost went with the 06 Sienna Limited and Sub B9 7 pas Limited. Needed a good Trooper Limited replacement. Pilot won, looks like SUV, drive like car, FWD so still good in the snow.
XM great, but discount even better
Got a Pilot in Oct and quickly became wife's car. The leather seats are very comfy, but 2nd row curves too much on side. Mileage is 17 in city and 24 on highway (in western Los Angeles). XM is great but pricey. After expired I was offered 50% off. This is the cheapest, Japanese brand, 8-passenger car with leather seats.

Good Choice
This car really offers a lot of content and features for the price. I love the ability to seat 8 people, even if the back seat is a little tight. I am very surprised at how much I enjoy this car and highly recommend it for someone that needs to seat more than 5 and does not want a minivan. The gas mileage around town is better than my Pathfinder. The driving decision for buying the Honda was based on the massive amount of space it provided, plus the Honda reputation for quality.
Just Right
I love this SUV but I'm going to tell you the few things that I didn't like. There's not a key lock on the tailgate. You have to always use the remote to open. It feels like a big car, which means you have it's not as nimble as I would like. There's a lot of windnoise when the crossbars are installed. The driver's side window has an automatic roll up mechanism which seems like a safety hazard to me.
No regrets at all
The Honda Pilot is everything people say about Hondas and then some. The craftsmanship is superb, and I can't find a glitch with this vehicle. Friends and family alike agree that the car handles the road like a sedan, but then you have all of the utility of an SUV. I knew from prior experience that I could not go wrong with a Honda, but I am even more impressed than I expected. The car speaks for itself, because two of my neighbors, one relative, and one co-worker have bought one since I bought mine.
