Large Guy's Review of the 2024 CR-V Hybrid

2024 Honda CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid EVT)

I have had my 2024 CR-V Sport Touring for a week now, with over 600 miles on it. I have driven mostly highway (55+mph) in the past week. Here is my honest review as a larger person: I am 6'5 and on the larger side. I chose the CR-V because I wanted a hybrid SUV and couldn't fit in the RAV-4 Hybrid, and I wanted a reliable vehicle so the American and Korean brands were out. In terms of room inside, the CR-V is as good as it gets. I have PLENTY of headroom and legroom. However, the seats are on the narrow/short side, so thigh support is mid at best. But 3+hr trips haven't been an issue. The belt buckles are large for some reason, so wider folk take note. The second row legroom and headroom are comparable to my relative's 2018 Toyota Highlander. And the cargo space is adequate for small families or single people. The height of the floor makes loading cargo very easy. Interior space: 8.5/10 As far as technology, I came from a 2007 Camry so this is a HUGE upgrade. Wireless Apple CarPlay works seamlessly. The backup camera is on the grainy side, and the wireless charger doesn't always work properly (iPhone 14 Pro Max for reference). The safety features are excellent, and the driving aids are marvelous. I love the (semi) hands-free driving feature on the highway with the adaptive cruise control, it saves my hands and feet from cramping on long road trips. I also love the hands-free power tailgate for when my hands are full, but I rarely use it ( I mostly see it as a gimmick to show people). Technology: 9/10 As far as driving dynamics, the acceleration from 0-60 is great, and from 40-80 is even better. The engine is incredibly smooth and the transmission is quiet and seamless. I have driven exclusively in normal mode and it has been perfect. The transition from EV to hybrid (gas engine) mode is almost undetectable. Steering is incredibly fluid and easy in small parking lots. The ride floats over road imperfections like nothing I've ever driven before, even with the 19-inch wheels. Driving dynamics: 9.5/10 Fuel economy is the main reason people buy hybrids, and the CR-V Hybrid hasn't disappointed me so far. Over the past week, I have driven mostly highway miles and I have been averaging 34.1mpg, which is the EPA rated highway mpg. The highest real-time mileage I have gotten was 56.7mpg (fresh tank of gas on a short, mostly downhill commute in B-mode), but my daily average has hovered right around 33mpg. I am very pleased with these numbers. I do not live in a crowded city, so I doubt I will reach the 40mpg city rating. No worries for me but if you are expecting RAV-4 Hybrid numbers, that and the Ford Escape Hybrid are really your only options. Their hybrid systems are MUCH different from the Honda's, but I honestly prefer the Honda system due to its refinement and smooth, quiet operation. If your daily commute requires you to drive 55+mph, just know your mpg will be closer to the 34mpg rating rather than the 40mpg city rating. Interestingly though, I have been driving between 55-65mph and the car will switch to EV mode, which really improves fuel economy. I have found that the perfect speeds to drive for maximum fuel economy are 15-30mph and 55-65mph. Overall, it is an excellent experience in my opinion. Fuel Economy: 9/10 Overall, I LOVE this car. For $41k, I am not sure if you can get much of a better overall package. Sure, I do wish it had cooled front seats and a 360-degree camera, but I have found that these features are nice but unnecessary for most people like me. A few more small things: 1. The air conditioning is excellent, even with the all-black interior in 90-degree heat. I find my hands freezing often. 2. Do not get the Honda OEM all-weather floor mats, they have no coverage and dealers are charging insane markups for accessories. Buy Smartliners like I did, $230 for first+second row all-weather floor liners and a cargo mat. Love them and definitely worth it. 3. The rear doors open 90-degrees so be aware that it's easier to ding cars in tight parking spaces. 4. Heated steering wheel and heated seats work amazingly, and heat up quick. 5. Be aware of the gloss-black trim EVERYWHERE in the Sport Touring, it collects dust, fingerprints, and can scratch easily. 6. The interior design and feel is almost comparable to a luxury vehicle. The leather seats and steering wheel feel 10X better than any Toyota I've been in (and I've been in them all - new and used). Lastly, don't believe anyone who says they are getting anything below 30mpg in their 2023-24 CR-V Hybrid. They HAVE to be flooring it and driving 15+mph over the speed limit everywhere. If you drive it like normal, you should see great MPGs. If you drive it specifically to squeeze out maximum MPG, you likely will. If this is on your list of cars you are looking at, consider it more, especially if you are tall. Larger folk, take note of the small seats. Overall rating: 9.5/10

An excellent overall small SUV

I bought the Hybrid L model with all-wheel drive. I am very happy with it. It is smooth, comfortable and quiet. Was able to fit luggage for 4 adults and a set of golf clubs in the back. The back seat area is spacious. Back seats do recline which is a plus. Equipped with radar assist cruise and lane keep assist it make driving long trips easier. Although I miss the power of my v6 Accord, the CRV has plenty of pep for daily driving. This vehicle is perfect for a small family trying to save money on gas. I only have a couple of complaints. The vehicle has no spare, just a repair kit. Many hybrids are like this. My gas mileage is only in the 32-34 range even though I drive a good mix city and highway. Way less than 40 mpg.

One Big Eye short of perfection

I traded in a Subaru CrossTrek Plug-in Hybrid that went 18 miles on a 5-hour charge. There are many things I like about the CR-V Hybrid. But the car seems to have one big flaw: The electronic eye that controls the automatic forward braking system and lane departure system suddenly stopped working 10 days after I got the car. This is a relatively common problem with the car because this part is in such short supply that if it comes in on time I will have waited a month for it. It's backordered and none of the half-dozen dealers in the Boston-Providence corridor has any. To be clear: without this electric eye, I can still drive the car just fine. Until 2020 I never had any of these safety features on a car. But it's still annoying to have this happen in my first 10 days of ownership. Other than that, compared to the Subaru Crosstrek here is what I think is better; 1. Ride; Suspension and handling are better. Smoother. Like other Honda I've driven it seems to glide over the road. 2. Interior space: probably close to 50% more. It's 5 inches wider and 8 inches longer and the back storage area is huge. The CrossTrek had a large battery that took away about 40% of the storage space in that area making three suitcases the maximum it could hold. 3. Drivers'controls. So much easier and more intuitive to figure out that I got the hang of controls in the Honda within a week that I never figured out in the Subaru 4. I got the midrange Sport L model: it has many of the features others complain about not having in the Sport. 5. All seats including the driver 6-way control seat are extremely comfortable and adjustable. The rear seat is also roomy and comfortable and you can lean it back on long drives. But as your reviewer said, using the latch that releases the seat is awkward. 6. There are enough cupholders and the console between the front seats is cavernous and raised to a good height for leaning elbows. However, the glove box is surprisingly tiny and doesn't have an interior light. 7. I've been getting almost 33 mpg in driving that is about. 70% highway and 30% city.

2024 Honda CRV Sport Touring. Here's what I like: 1. remote start to warm up or cool your car 2. tons of safety & warning features 3. roomy interiors 4. cool LED lights. even the inside car handles have LED lights. 5. smooth ride even when I run over some small pot holes 6. I get average 34 mpg because I drive mostly on highways. 7. auto-wipers (it's able to detect rain & will adjust wiper speed automatically. This could be good or bad. You can adjust the sensitivity of it by turning the knob). 8. auto headlights (you can change the sensitivity of this if the lights go on too soon when its not even that dark yet. i set mine to minimum). Here's what I don't like: 1. The window washer fluid squirts from top of the wiper blades, so it doesn't clean the window that effectively. In my other cars, I would squirt the fluid as the wipers are going up & down. With this CRV, it will only squirt when the wipers go back up. Hopefully the hose doesn't freeze during the winter months. 2. To change the cabin air filter, the whole glove box needs to come off (in previous models, the glove box would drop down low enough to take out the cabin filter). 3. The display screen on the main console takes few seconds to a minute to load. 4. No pocket behind the driver's seat, but the passenger seat has it. 5. When I backup the car, it would make a weird whirly sound. 6. The front seats are not ventilated. Toyota RAV4 has it, but not Honda. 7. no spare tire b/c they put the hybrid battery in that space. I think they could of move the hybrid battery to like underneath the rear passenger seats. They give you an emergency tire kit to patch up a hole in your tire, but who really knows how to do that? 8. the wireless phone charger is terrible design. once you make a sharp turn, your phone going to slide right off the charging pad. 9. no audio source button on the steering wheel to switch from FM to AM to USB. You have touch the main display to change audio. If you have GPS map on the display, you going have to go back to Home screen to change the audio. Some other things you should know about: 1. don't rely on the speed limit display on your dashboard. this car is suppose to read speed limit signs, but sometimes it displays the wrong number. I was on a street where speed limit is 25 mph, but the car was showing 50! 2. The blind spot warning needs some tweaking. When changing lane on multi-lane highway, the car beeps on cars that are like 2 lanes over, but there's no car on the lane you want to switch to. I always check to make sure its clear to change lanes, but I get little panic when my car beeps for no reason. 3. One time I was reversing, my car was beeping for no reason. There's no objects behind me and no car coming. I look at my display and it was showing object warning in front of the car (it was bunch of trees). Why it warning about stuff in front of the car when I'm going in reverse? 4. the headlight switch cannot stay on "off" position. It will always go back to "auto" position. 5. The booklet manual says recommend fuel is 87 Octane above (which is regular gas). But the online manual says 91 Octane (or premium) is recommended. I ask Honda to clarify & they say premium is recommended, but its ok to fill it up with regular. I'm like what's that suppose to mean?

First impressions - pro reviewers don't mention:

Only have 200 miles on my 2024 Sport Touring so far (mixed driving), so these are first impressions only. Integration of the electric motors and gas engine is incredibly seamless. Without confirmation from the dash display, you can NOT tell when the gas engine is running unless you're accelerating hard. Feels very strange to have no sound or vibrations when the car is not moving. It produces a strange background sound when in reverse to alert pedestrians, since it's virtually silent otherwise. 0-60 #s don't interest me as much as 40-70 mph #s for on ramps and passing. This car is more than adequate at both. So far, Sport mode seems unnecessary, and I don't understand the decision to pump in artificial engine sounds when in it. The drivers seat can move back automatically after shutting off the engine, and move back into position when seated and starting the car, for easier entry and exit. That was a nice surprise. The headlight control defaults to AUTO (a not so nice surprise). You can't keep it in OFF, as a spring always returns it to auto. I'm enjoying the paddle "shifters" for the regen braking. Makes me feel a little more involved (had manual transmission cars years ago). It seems that by using them actively, you can get more charge to the battery, which results in more EV mode driving and better mileage. It probably also saves the brakes. For reference, I'm comparing the following characteristics to our other car - 2016.5 Mazda CX-5. It's very quiet, especially with the sound system playing. Volume can be quite low, because the active noice cancellation is so effective. The ride mutes road imperfections very well (we have a lot in the Midwest), while still being nicely firm, with taught steering. While on the exact same wheelbase, the CRV feels noticeably larger from inside than our CX-5. Much more rear seat leg room, and headroom everywhere. More cargo space too, probably from the higher roofline. The spec says it's 500 lbs heavier, and you can tell. The info screen/display functionality is a huge improvement over our Mazda. Very simple to navigate and looks good. Not sure why you'd want anything bigger. The Bose system is OK. Haven't compared to the level right below it. I saw a thorough review comparing them and that reviewer thought there was a fairly significant difference, and gave the Bose a B overall. The CRV was purchased to be more comfortable (than CX-5) on road trips which we plan to take more of. I expect it will fit the bill very well. Can't speak to mileage yet, but I expect it will be below the rated #s, but I'm not too concerned.

01/12/25 update: continues to be an excellent vehicle for commuting, great on gas consistently above 32 MPG on the highway, smooth drivetrain, great usability with foldable rear seats, wish the rear seats had seat heaters. Our ‘23 Accord touring had this feature. I guess because this car is built on the Civic it doesn’t get it. Strange because the overseas CR-V’s have this option. Update 07/11/24: The CR-V continues to be an excellent companion cruising from the Bay Area to the Central Valley. Continue to return high 40s and low 50 miles per gallon return on the highway. The car is comfortable, the AC blows nice and cold especially needed during these 110+ temperature days. Two major complaints I have with this car now that it has hit 10K miles. First, I hate the droning of the motor when the vehicle is traveling up hill or any significant grade change from flat. It sounds like the car is really struggling to maintain the speed of traffic; while it sounds bad the car has plenty of power but the engine sounds very coarse and unrefined. Ironically, we have a 2023 accord touring hybrid while it’s the same drivetrain, it doesn’t sound the same as the CRV going over the same terrain. The last demerit would be the constant glitchy head unit screen. The screen will constantly reboot during driving or black out and lose Apple CarPlay connectivity. Recently purchased a Honda Sport Touring Hybrid on 12/27/23 to compliment our fleet of a 2023 Honda Accord Touring and 2021 Chevrolet Silverado High Country with a 6.2L. We have loved our Accord, we recently traded in our 2022 Acura MDX with the Advanced Package for the CRV; while they represent different automotive audiences, the Acura had too many problems with its braking system (replaced front brakes with front caliper at 38K miles) and having our rear brakes squeal every time with stopped. We loved the comfort of the Acura and with all the creature comforts it had. The CRV is a different category; but highlights include comfortable seats, useable interior, so far decent fuel economy (low 30s) , good Bose Stereo, good backseat comfort for our kids one that is 6 foot tall, and useable trunk space. The CRV only has 300 miles currently on the odometer, and will serve as a commuter/family vehicle. So far, we have been impressed with its quality and usability. Two Honda hybrids in our family, we love how smooth these cars ride, handle, and behave on our construction ridden highways here in California.

2024 Honda Cr-v

We liked the 24 CR-V for the most part. I didn't like the fact that there is no spare tire. Maybe I'm old fashioned or just old but I've changed a few flats in my 74 years and went happily on my way. If the tire has a hole too big to fix with the air compressor they provide you could have a long wait for AAA. The last time I called them for help they told me it would be 6 hours before they could send someone. So besides not having a spare tire ,the cr-v doesn't come with a rear cargo cover or a console glove box shelf, both of which came with the last three new cars I've had. It just feels like Honda cheaped out on a few items that really weren't too expensive. The Cr-v feels like a solid ride. We got the hybrid version which has a little over 200hp. It has plenty of power to pass and go up mountains and it gets pretty good gas mileage. I got 38 mpg on the 2 hour drive from the dealership that we bought it from. The safety features I have mixed emotions about. I think it's a little overkill with the feature that keeps you in lane with the tugging on the steering wheel. It just feels too uncomfortable with the wheel being jerked around ,I probably won't use it. Also there is no storage space for things like tools or umbrellas or a blanket. My last car was a Prius and it had plenty of room for all that stuff. Over all the Cr-v feels solid ,is very quiet and is comfortable and safe feeling.

Multi-Accord Owner Converted to CR-V. Wow!

I have had my CR-V Sport-L (2024) for a week now, and love it. I have had multiple Accord Sedans (5) since 1999, and have always loved them. I am a dedicated Honda customer. By the way, I have driven many MANY models from other manufacturers over the years - I travel 2 weeks out of each month on business and have had many Hertz rental cars over the years... I have experienced many of Honda's competitors every year. I went with the CR-V because I was at our local Honda Dealership, helping my grandson buy a used car. I sat in the 2024 Sport-L out of curiosity and was very impressed, so I took it for a drive. I was very surprised to find it to be MUCH quieter and smoother during normal driving than my Accord EX-L (2019). If you have been considering a CR-V Hybrid, you may have seen reviews that say there is engine noise when climbing a steep hill, and that is true. The engine does wind out a bit, and during hard acceleration is is not a quiet performer. Other than that, the vehicle is butter smooth and quiet. LOTS of room, and very comfortable. For me, the Sport-L is the perfect balance of features. Honda hit this one out of the park. Downsides? Yes, a couple. No longer has the "home" button (for the garage door opener) on the rear-view mirror. I now have the openeer on my driver sunshade (clipped on). I mentioned noise above, during "hard acceleration" - if you're looking for a "sporty" experience, look elsewhere. The engine will move the car at a reasonable pace, but not as quickly as my past Accords. One more downside is the "All Weather" package that the dealer in my area adds on. They cleverly claim "no dealer mark up!", but add all weather floor mats, cargo mat, and wheel splash guards for the eye-watering sum of $3,000. IMO, these are actually quite flimsy - especially compared to WeatherTech. Oh - and you can get the whole WeatherTech setup for about $600, and they are MUCH higher quality (I have used WT for many years). So - it really is added markup in my case, because the dealer refused to remove these "installed" items.

Love the car, 2024 CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring. Highest trim level. Beautiful 2 tone leather seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, Bose sound, moon roof, every safety feature including pedestrian detection, speed limit detection, adaptive cruise control and much more. Smooth quiet, responsive drive, and 37 combined mpg. My only criticism is the side mirror settings do not adjust automatically with the seat memory features and no garage door buttons

The car is extremely quiet on the highway and a dream to drive. My only concern is memorizing the 700 page booklet that comes with it. I bought the car because I am 82 and wanted all the safety features to help me continue to be a good driver. If this car gives me the same quality service as the 2013 CRV with 97,000 miles on it that I traded in, I will be a happy customer.

I've owned 11 Hondas or Acuras in the last 20 years. The Hybrid CR-V Sport-L looks great and I get about 39mpg, but the vehicle has serious issues. The first immediate issue we noticed was that the driver's side mirror vibrates at over 40 mph. Sometimes it gets so bad it's like you're looking into funhouse mirror when changing lanes. The bigger issues started at about 5,500 miles. The car began idling roughly and then started displaying emissions system, power system, blind-spot and transmission system errors. The check engine light also went off and the vehicle went into reduced power mode. The vehicle is now at the dealership a second time with what appears to be a fuel injector issue that many other 23/24 CR-V hybrid owners are reporting.

I've had the car for almost 2 weeks and it has been so smooth to drive. The heated seats and steering wheel are really lovely especially living in Maine. My favorite part is the fact that I filled up the tank for the first time after 400 miles at only 11 gallons. My old Jeep Grand Cherokee required 22 gallons to go 400 miles. Half the amount of gas (and money!) to go just as far and with a smooth ride. Amazing!

2/13/25. Yesterday I was on the freeway and it was raining. Lots of traffic and I was having a hectic morning commute and late for an appointment. Admittedly, I was not paying attention and the freeway came to an unexpected halt in front of me. The vehicle amazingly took over, sent warning signals to me which caught my attention and then it applied the brakes just in time stopping the vehicle from hitting the car in front of me at around 40-50 mph. I was able to grab the wheel and move out of the way but the way but no way I would have had enough time had it not been for the vehicles auto braking doing its job. It was quite remarkable as it was raining, the probability to hydroplane under these circumstances was quite high but nothing of the sort, it felt completely under control, no locking brakes etc. This really was a close call and I have a whole new found regard and confidence for the engineering of my Honda. and yes the lesson I need to be more present behind the wheel was not lost on me. This is my first Honda. To be honest, typically I drive German luxury cars etc. but I have been doing a ton of driving on really harsh roads and just needed something I could get great mpg and not have to worry about getting a major jolt when I hit a pot hole. This thing has absolutely hit the mark. my mpg isn't 40 or whatever as advertised but I am getting 30 plus which for me is outrageous. I put 50 bucks in the tank and it goes 410-425 miles, awesome!. I am used to 14 or 15 mpg.. even if you drive it I sport mode and really hit the throttle it still is like 28 mpg... The seats are super comfortable and I love the blend of the touch screen media along with all the hard buttons that feel solid and quality. Another awesome Honda parlor trick is the footprint of the car is basically that of a compact car yet it has great cargo space. if you check the specs its cargo area is that of MUCH larger vehicles. Although I really wish it had a 360 camera. I think if they introduced that in future models I would trade it in for that in a heartbeat. handles solid, steering feel is decent and decent missing a few options (360 camera, ventilated seats) it has bunch of little tech surprises that aren't necessarily on the window sticker and reveal themselves after you drive it for some time. Also, I paid less then 40k which these days seems like a ton of value for something with solid engineering and build. I definitely recommend this vehicle.

This is my third Honda CRV, but this is the first hybrid I've owned. I love this car. It's very room and comfortable inside. The exterior is beautiful. The hybrid engine is very responsive and the hybrid aspect is very smooth going from gas to electric. I love that I don't have to plug this hybrid in but get the benefits of the hybrid engine. I visit the gas station about one every three weeks. This is the one!!

I've owned it for three months, and I don't have a single complaint. I'm averaging 38-39 mpg during the mid Atlantic winter months. My previous car was 12 yrs old and had nothing high tech, and I have been impressed at how easy and intuitive all the safety and infotainment features are to use--a very fast learning curve. My only quibble is that on some small country roads the lane keeping is a bit over sensitive. I'll have to look into whether I can adjust that. Honda has a very nice interactive website that is great for learning about all the features. The website is less daunting than the mammoth owners' manual.

I buy this vehicle in December 22, 2023 and from very first day having issues with front sensor. This is safety feature which stops working while you are driving. I feet this on my very first trip with 350km on the odometer. The outside weather conditions was clear but snow muddy so I thought may be the front sensor is getting dirt but Ben after cleaning, it keeps going off. This is the situation all the time I am on highway. I have all the pictures and videos. While showing this to dealership they says they can check only if the alarm is on or else they will charge for the check up. This sensor goes off when passing by vehicle, which is most dangerous. I complained to honda canada, emailed them, but no response. No one is taking responsibilities for the error which is still keep coming. Either the sensor is bad or needs recalibration but no answer from any one. My recommendation is not to buy this because if you will have this issue, no one will take responsibilities.

I would rate everything about our 2024 CR-V Hybrid as 4-star. But the main reason I am writing this review is that it is an absolute FAIL at the main reason I bought the car, in town fuel economy. Advertised at 40mpg in town, mine is no where near that, only 33.9mpg. Most of my driving is short in town trips, less than 5 miles round trip. I have owned the car for three months--I drive in ECON mode and drive like the little old man I am. Still, the car almost never goes into EV mode unless I am stopped at a stop light or driving down a hill or on pure flat ground. What disappoints me most is there is no way for m to select EV-only on the 2024 model.

This is my 2nd hybrid. I had the 2016 RAV-4. Some of the nice features on the RAV-4 were not included on the CR-V. On the other hand, the CR-V had a number of features not found on the RAV-4. Note I did not get the Touring or L versions. I think the ride is superior in the CR-V, and it handles very well. I'd recommend it.

2 months -4000 miles sports hybrid touring got check engine light. Emission codes, transmission codes, blind spot info system problem 19 days later at the dealer with a new transmission. The dealer broke the floor where the battery goes because they forced it instead of removing 2 screws. My confidence went down to 0 seeing they couldn’t follow the service manual. Now 3000 more miles i noticed it was burning about 3 more mpg than before in ECON mode, I switched to normal and MPG improved but alas, the car stalls on the highway and the D flashes meaning more transmission problems. Occasionally I get a message to put the car in D. I was warned hy a friend Honda is still trying to workout the kinks of hybrids

Let me start by saying I really enjoy driving this car overall a lot. Great on gas. Overall very quiet, sometimes you can't tell it's on. Very smooth driven car. I got the hybrid L with leather seats and looks really good and the the tap system is very good and smooth and clear sounding. I'm sure it's not as good as the top touring model but still very good. Some things Honda can improve is the side back up mirrors, they are a little to small for my liking when backing up even when using the backup camera. I liked my 2024 Rav4 larger backup mirrors better. The front leather seat is just a tiny bit small and hard but I'm getting used to it and it has several adjustments. I bit wider seat would have been perfect and I'm 190lb six feet tall so not fat or anything like that. Maybe it's the bucket feel that makes them feel a bit tight. One other thing I notice is when driving at night some people think I have the high beams on and they flash the lights at me. I've owned this vehicle 2 and a half months and it's happened like 3 or 4 times. So far I like the vehicle better than my 2020 Rav4 premium. The quality and drive of the 2024 CRV Hybrid L is on the next level and a pleasure to drive. It's almost like I find an excuse to go out and drive it at this point of my ownership. Also I've had passengers in the vehicle and they compliment comfortability and quality for the price range.

I bought Honda CRV Sports Hybrid 2024 model in last Oct 2023. Unfortunatly I met with an miner accident in DEC 2023, I gave this car to bodyshop through my Insurance agent. It's been 4 months completed but repairs are not done. It is beacuse of HONDA not released the spare parts, those parts are in National stock backorder, How come they sell cars with out spare parts releasing in the market. That's why I recommend that please do not go for Honda Cars.

It's been a year since purchase of my CRV hybrid so I have had time to experience and get past the initial new car purchase. First, it does not yield the mpg advertised, This is my 3rd hybrid so I am full knowledgable on how to drive them, Second, I have had numerous glitches, within first 1000 miles the low tire pressure light comes on, of course Honda like most other manufactures, does not provide individual tire pressure indicators. This happened during a long trip in the middle of nowhere, luckily found some one who checked pressure and ALL were low and this a brand new car. I keep getting a lane departure warning when nothing is around, it just flashes for no reason. Of course Honda says they can not find anything wrong. Third the steering wheel catches when trying to turn, Honda says steering component needs to be replace, but not available for 6-8 months. Finally, in my opinion it lacks most of the features other top of the line vehicles do.

One month it was driving perfect my brand new 2024 CRV hybrid sport touring, driving work to home and take my kids to school, like a dream. After around 1000 miles, yesterday I got my engine started to vibrate and make very high diesel noise, whole car started to shake, smell of not burned gas, on Dashboard “Emission Problem, Transmission Problem, the engine light came on, it became not drivable almost. Wend in the morning in to dealer, they are booked for couple of days. So, I left my car there with hope to get diagnosed after 2-3 days. Now I have no car to drive to work. I got Honda for it reliability - looks like I will switch to Toyota. Very disappointed My 2 previous Hondas were better built, the quality goes down… it the new car drives only one month. within a month Even Hyundai or Kia I think built better now.

The sticker says 37 mpg highway. Per Honda that's tested at 48 mph. Who travels at 48 mph on the highway??? At 70 its more like 30 and if you travel at 75 it's more like 28 mph. The truth is buried by Honda by using am excuse that they test at 48 mph. City is better but closer to 37 mpg. 40 mpg is on the sticker but this is based at 20 mph per Honda. Deceivers

Smooth, comfortable solid ride. Infotainment system is easy to use. This is the first non Toyota I've bought since 1986; didn't care for the RAV4 ride and feel. Also looked at the Hyundai Tucson but chose the Honda for it's reputation for reliability compared to Hyundai. Compared to Toyota the environmental control system fan provides less air flow. Mine came with neither a spare tire or run flat tires; a small cheap air pump is provided to air up the tires so you can drive a tire repair facility, if the leak isn't too severe, or call and wait for roadside assistance. Can't drop the tire off for repair and pick it up later. I'll end up buying a tire repair kit, bottle jack, and tire changing tools; and try to find a way to store them in the vehicle. Very limited cabin storage space for emergency equipment like tire repair/change, jumper cables, tools, first aid kit, etc. The moon roof doesn't tilt, a handy feature; it only opens. Homelink was not included in my vehicle forcing me to carry garage door openers in the car. Towing capacity is limited to 1,000 pounds. The latest Consumer Reports ratings give the Tucson and CR-V reliability both average reliability so the reason I went with Honda is no longer a discriminator. If I did it again I'd go with the Tucson.

This is my 4th Honda CRV. It's my first hybrid and I love it. Comfortable, smooth power, great handling, a very nice sound system, great technology, AWD and great fuel efficiency.

It shudders. Sometimes it’s very bad - more like moderate air turbulence. Sometimes it throws up a warning, “Engine transmission problems. Powermay be reduced. See your dealer.” I have seen my dealer - that was a waste of lots of time. I hate this car. I buy new cars and maintain them well so as not to have problems. This car has had this problem since day 1.

It’s been 9 months and 36,000 since I purchased my 2024 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport Touring. And I love it today as much as the day I purchased it. And I’m thankful I purchased the extended warranty. Saved money on the warranty by stripping the bells and whistles and just going with the mechanics. I had the opportunity of renting one of the other SUV’s that had a higher rating than my Honda. They were rated higher because they got 1 mpg higher or half a cubic foot more storage. But if you compare the ride and handling, you would certainly sacrifice that extra mpg and storage space. The Sport Touring modal has it over it the other Honda CRV’s basic modals regarding handling and comfort. I take advantage of the Econ, Normal & Sport options as if I’m driving a stick shift, depending on road and traffic conditions. No problem climbing steep hills or merging in traffic in Normal or Sport mode. Haven’t had the opportunity to drive in Snow mode yet. Only drawback is no spare tire. Considering purchasing a spare tire for long road trips. Road service will tow you to nearest garage facility to fix a flat, instead of fixing it in the spot. Don’t like the idea of being stranded in the middle of nowhere because of a flat tire. Extra dollars well with the comfort, handling, and MOG that the Hybrid Sport Touring modal offers.

Great gas mileage, quiet, solid construction, fit and finish. Great suspension set up. Top trim has all features EXCEPT garage door opener, no 360 surround view. Will keep this a long time. Getting around 37-38 mpg on highway so far. It has the range of a regular SUV but with a 12 gallon fuel tank.

I am looking for an SUV hybrid and drove both the CR-V and RAV4 2024 models. My wife who is mildly overweight found that the seat belt anchor into which you insert the buckle is too high with the result that it hurts the side of her hip whether she is in the driver or passenger seat. It's a design flaw by Honda. There is no fix at the dealership to overcome this problem except dieting. Obviously, the folks at Honda who test drive are all small people. They need to employ test drivers like my wife.
