Engine trouble from the start

Bought in October had transmission issue from the start. I called they can’t find anything in computer. It won’t accelerate coming out of turns. My son thinks it a down shifting problem. But I am disappointed with the brand and service center just talk no help. Thinking of selling before I really have problems.

I studied the GV 70 since it first came out and knew this would be my next car. When I finally drove one and looked at the pricing, I couldn’t resist trading my 2020 BMW 840 coupe. I have not been disappointed with the performance of the TwinTurbo V6 and the ride and drive of the car. It’s like a sports car with passenger room. It is ultra quiet but yet when I put it in sport Drive the character changes to a fun sports car. I considered the Porsche Macan S and the BMW M3 but the money was so much more and the equipment was less which made the Genesis a great value. The only downside of it is the gas mileage, which is only 25 mpg on the highway and I was used to my BMW getting 35 mpg mean. The gas mileage is absolutely the only shortcoming on this great SUV. 18 Months and 26000 miles, not one warranty repair. I continue to enjoy this vehicle

AWD 2.5 LT Advanced. Silver/brown Int. Great Crossover SUV. 3,000 miles, no issues Love the Drive modes, used Sport driving to the coast/mtns, performed great. Went to the Snow, used snow mode, plowed right thru slippery roads. In Eco mode, been getting 22 MPG overall. The one drawback is gas mileage. Around town, not great, but the power is awesome, so good trade off. Paid $53k, best value in the market.

great ride and handling poor reliability?

I have a 2024 GV70 and took it on a long cross country trip and was impressed by the driving quality and handling. However there are several issues that concern me. At 3000 miles the brakes were very loud backing up. The dealer told me that it needed new brake calipers. At 10,000 miles the transfer case started leaking. I have owned at least a dozen new cars and never had issues like this occur so early. My last was a Accura RDX. At 48,000 miles no issues. I should have researched the the GV70 more before purchasing. The dealer is waiting for ordered parts and their service has been great. I think they are a bit embarrassed with the cars problems

2024 Genesis GV70 Sport System Malfunction

Bria, 01/14/2024

Bought a brand new 2024 Genesis GV70 Sport Prestige. Only had it for about 4 hours before having to bring it back to the dealership. I went out to dinner with my family and about an hour or so afterwards, I started the car just to see a bunch of flashing warning lights on my dashboard and a message saying that the cameras were without any signal. Basically, all of the electronic features had somehow malfunctioned. The navigation system had no signal. The radio did not work. My blinkers didn’t even flash on the dashboard. Upon getting in contact with a sales representative, we were told that we would have to wait until Monday and that there was nothing that could be done because it was the weekend. We had to drive it back to the dealership while the car system was in failure. Couldn’t even see what speed I was driving at because of the malfunction on the dashboard. It was pretty heartbreaking driving off of the lot in a beautiful, brand new car only to find it malfunctioning just a couple of hours later. We were told that it may be an issue with the battery, but after researching it seems like more of a wiring issue. I have never heard of anything like this happening from any other high quality, luxury brands. I don’t think Genesis will keep my business, to be honest. For a $60,000 car, there’s no way that this should be happening. It’s almost as if the manufacturers are not performing system checks before authorizing these vehicles for sale. It appears that reliability may be somewhat of an issue with this brand. Please beware of this manufacturer. As a first time customer, this is extremely disappointing. This was such a let down. Not sure that I can trust this brand. Looks like we got a brand new $60,000 lemon.

I have 2023 GV70 2.5T sport prestige trim This car is great looking from outside and luxurious looking from inside however , this car has a major issue currently which is a whining noise coming from the Rear Differential. First started hearing it around 4k miles. Have taken it to the dealership 3 different times and they have replaced rear differential , transfer case all those times and yet the noise just happens to come back within couple of days of me having it back. In the process of having the company buy back the car from me under lemon law act. It's sucha shame that sucha good looking car with good tech and features and they release a recall and fix those faulty diffs and transfer cases. I hope they are reading this and act upon it before they get stain on their Reputation again.

Beautiful Car Lousy Company

We started out on a waiting list in September of 2022 (which was a joke) waiting for a car that never arrived. By January of 2023 we were taking matters into our own hands and calling dealerships around the country to try and find what we were looking for. We found the car in Las Vegas and picked it up only to have a significant acceleration issue while driving home. The dealer wanted to wash their hands of fixing the issue until we demanded they take ownership in the issue. Our brand new car was at another dealership for service for 3 weeks trying to figure out the problem. Genesis NA and the dealership we bought it from did nothing for us. We were actually told by the Genesis Customer Relations manager to "adjust our expectations". This is not something that you want to hear from a luxury car manufacturer. We finally have our car back and it seems to be fixed but we have lost all confidence in the brand. To call themselves a luxury brand and treat their customers like this is ridiculous. Our interaction with Genesis has been the worst customer service we have experienced. I want to love my new car and all I can do is hope that Genesis can get their act together and treat customers with respect.

Transmission/AWD ISSUES

Purchased a GV70 in July and was very impressed. Suddenly one day my wife says there are dummy lights on the dash. Called dealership and got it right in for an evaluation. A month later was told the car was ready for pickup. They replaced the torque converter lastly and all is good. A month later the car was towed back to the dealership when it wouldn't pass 25 mph on a freeway. Wife said that she felt like a hammer hit the transmission. Dealership said they cannot duplicate the problem. 60,000.00 Car with 6000 miles. Lost faith in the brand. Working with Genesis and possibly with the State of Ohio for refund or replacement. Maybe i just got a bad one? I am reading that it is a common problem. The Tow Truck Driver knew more about the issue than the dealership, considering this model has been out for about 1 year, that speaks volumes.

Over Priced with Zero Reliability

Purchased a GV70 Advanced pkg in Nov 2022, Dec 29, 2022 car would not accelerate as merging onto highway with no check engine lights or any warnings. Drove it to dealership to find out a small pea sized rock had hit the turbo intercooler causing the coolant to drain out. Turbos weren’t working and the car out itself into some sort of limp mode without any warning. Genesis would not cover under warranty. Over $3k to replace intercooler. 75 days after picking car up, same thing happened again as merging onto highway, no acceleration. Same thing with something small about the size of a pea hitting the intercooler and once again no warranty coverage with another out of pocket expense to replace the tin can of an intercooler. Sunroof had a stress crack and surprisingly was replaced under warranty. Rear differential developed a whine in between both intercooler replacements so that was replaced under warranty. Now the GV 70 is at the dealer once again with what appears to be a fuel pump issue. The car stalled twice in one day. And the Bluetooth microphone is terrible, people your are talking to can barley hear you, but the deal says it works fine! In the 10 months we have owned the car, it has spent more than half of that time at the dealership with issues. Genesis will not buy back the car and we are stuck with an over priced piece of crap. Don’t buy one! This was our first and last Genesis.

$55K PIECE OF JUNK

Purchased vehicle in early June. Absolutely love the look and drive. At 1600 miles warning lights started coming on for no reason. Took it in and no problems found. Fast forward a few hundred miles and AWD light comes on. Trip 1 cannot find problem but do some adjustments. Next day light comes on again. Back I go, need to order a sensor which is over night ed and damaged. Now need to wait 3 weeks for another on that does not resolve the problem. Dealer told by Genesis to replace purge valve. Finally able to pick up my car after 36 days at the dealer. Drive it a whole 20 miles (was on the way to a Toyota dealer)and AWD light is on again... back in for a transfer case replacement and another 4-5 days without my car. I have 2,000 miles on this vehicle in 6 months. Not reliable! DO NOT PURCHASE!

I give it a four star because I don't believe there's the perfect car. Every vehicle is perfectible and this is an example of that. First with the negatives that make me give this precious SUV only 4 stars: The seats: They are rock hard! Not a deal breaker but be cognizant that the seats are super firm. They are highly configurable and that helps tremendously as well as the massage feature for the driver but, firm they are. On the Prestige Package they come with a mesh insert that pretty much covers 50 percent of the seating surfaces so, yes, you upgrade to leather only to get half of the seating surface covered in fabric. I always opt for leather or vinyl seats because they're easier to upkeep than fabric and they are easier to keep clean as well. So I'd say, keep this in mind if you have small children and or pets. Now with the positive: EVERYTHING ELSE. I loved the buying experience. I was hesitant to set foot at the Genesis dealership for all the bad rep that I see online but my experience was very comparable to what I've dealt with with Lexus. I love the interior quality, fit and finish. I also love most of the features that I actually use on a daily basis. I love the looks, the paint finish (metallic black). The vehicle is quiet and the ride is super comfortable despite the firmer seats and bigger wheels. The 2.5 offers plenty of power and you save at the pump too vs the 6 cylinder. I also love: the fact that it has distinctive looks vs the X3 or the GLC300. The long warranty, the free maintenance for 3 years and the valet service. Keep this vehicle on your list of premium SUV's. It made sense to us and we are loving it 3 weeks and 3000 miles into our ownership. Yes, 3000 miles in 3 weeks. We just drove it from California to Texas and back.

The car look great but runs terrible. Had the front diff actuator replaced and with that replacement the front end makes a terrible noise. The dealers can not hear the noise but all my friends who are in the car always comment about what's that noise. Contacted Genesis corporate with a case number and had little help. I have purchased 3 genesis in the past years, but will never purchase a car from them again. We call it the covid car because it was made during those years. Never again with they see my money.

We purchased the 2023 2.5t Sport Prestige and enjoy driving the car any chance we can. It's a solid and comfortable ride with plenty of power to climb a mountain at any speed you want. Our only issue was trying to get aftermarket wheels (winter wheel and tire package) and TPMS to sync up. Although not the fault of the dealer, we appreciated their full treatment to help diagnose the issue at no cost. They gave us a loaner vehicle and washed the car for an issue created by an aftermarket wheel package. We were impressed and still very impressed with the car and the value received. Also like that that we don't see the same car everywhere we go. It's an undiscovered gem.

Horrible Horrible Choice of a Brand

I made a horrible mistake, that so far cost me $60,000 so highly advertised , for almost 1 year… and I am already hating it very badly. Not so much the car itself, but the computer / navigating / driver assist systems. But specially I hate the way THEY ( customer service / service department ) treat their customers. I am already almost a month into having problems with computer functionality of my car, and the next appointment to bring the car in for fixes is mid August. The next available loaner is mid-October. I was also told by them that they will send me an email with Do-It-Yourself instructions. No one replies to the voicemail messages I left for them, not in the corporate office not in a local service department. What is it ??? Such a crapy car that they spend all the time fixing it ? I will probably get involved with a Lemon law process !!! DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND !!!

Had my GV70 for about 3 months now. I'm 72 and have had several new cars in my life. This may very well be the best. Love everything about it. Not the first issue. Got rid of a Subaru Ascent when I purchased my Genesis & I'd be on my second or third recall by now with the Subaru. Not accustomed to paying full sticker, but I think it was actually worth it. Highly recommend this vehicle.

Gorgeous, but awful low-speed driving dynamics.

The GV70 is a beautiful vehicle, inside and out, no doubt about it. It's comfortable, quiet and feels substantial. But, and this is a big but, the low-speed driving dynamics are terrible. The start/stop system is one of the worst I've ever experienced. When stopping, the engine turns off with a shudder and then when you're ready to go, it starts with a shudder. It feels very unrefined. It can be switched off, but then you lose the benefit of saving fuel. Also, coming to a stop from a low speed also causes some hesitation and choppiness in the brake pedal. It's not easy to come to a smooth stop. Although the interior is beautiful and the seats are comfortable, the drivers side armrest was uncomfortable for me. There's a part of the armrest where the soft touch material joins the harder plastic, and that point pressed into my arm. Lastly, the rotating gear shift knob and the controller for the infotainment system are very close to each other on the center armrest, causing the driver to look down to ensure that the correct knob is being turned. I really don't understand all the rave reviews for this car. It is beautiful to look at, but it has some serious shortcomings that are not befitting a $55K vehicle.

I bought the 2.5T Advanced because it has most of the features that I wanted, but has many that I will never use. I am so disappointed that I could not get HUD or heated rear seats without going to the Sport Prestige package, which would have cost another $9000 and I didn't like the looks of the Sport. Nor did I want a gas guzzling 3.5T. The 2.5T has plenty of power. I see no need for Remote Smart Parking. It is sooooo... slow. I can park manually in a fraction of the time. Fingerprint authentication is useless. It doesn't always work and why bother??? Brushed aluminum buttons on the steering wheel are difficult to read in the daytime. I don't like the fact that each time the vehicle is shut down, it doesn't remember your personal settings such as ISG or LKA. They have to be activate or turn of each time. Also, I constantly grab the wrong knob since the shifter and infotainment dials are the same size and next to each other. That is a big design flaw. I own the G90 and just love it. It's too bad they didn't use the same Design Engineers for the GV70 and keep features of the G90 on all their models.

I started my vehicle search with trusted professional reviews I saw online and was very happy I made the decision to purchase the GV70. I got the sport model pkg which looks super cool and, humorously, it gets a lot of looks from people trying to figure out what the make of this car is. It also has the many safety features I wanted and it sure keeps me in line. Fun to drive and very fast with 4 Cyl. Turbo and nice wheels. Can’t see how you can go wrong between classy looks and great warrantee. I recently scheduled service with the dealership and the service writer was super helpful and I felt like a VIP. Take it for a drive before you go for the standard luxury vehicles you know. You might be just as surprised, as I was.

Best Car I've ever driven

When I made the decision to buy a compact luxury car, I cam to this edmunds.com to check the rankings as I always do prior to purchasing. To my surprise I saw a Genesis GV70 as the best in this class on here. I wasnt sure how a car like that beats out the GLC, Q5, NX, X3 and RDX for that spot. My curiosity led me to test drive all of these cars. Over a period of 1 month I drove all of these starting with the GV70 and back to the GV70. When I test drove it the second time I knew immediately that I wasnt going back to any other car. It just had the right combination of sporty, elegance, looks and luxury that I wanted. It did everything right. Then came the purchasing experience. I went online to build it and the price at build was the same when the car was delivered after 6 months. I had the best dealership experience ever. No hustling, no markups, everything was super transparent and they threw in a tone of accessories for free. I have owned this car since September 2022 and I just love it so much. I recently flirted with the new GLC but after watching the edmunds.com comparison video I decided to stick to my G70. Love it!!

I have 44,000 KM on my 2023 GV70 2.5T Sport Prestige (in Canada) and it has been a very comfortable vehicle for me, even in the very harsh winters we have here. The technology, appearance and uniqueness of the vehicle are the main reasons I bought it. Interior comfort is excellent. Performance is very good in this price range. The problem is in the company itself - the US dealerships have sued Genesis to stay independent which has destroyed the service in most areas in the US. In Canada, Genesis Canada runs the operations and the dealerships simply provide hands-on services, so it works way better here. We actually get loaner vehicles and can make appointments in a week - in the US most don't have loaner vehicles and it can take 3 months to make an appointment. Greedy dealerships to blame for that. Genesis does not have a great service attitude - they need to learn from Lexus. If you call with an infotainment issue, they have no idea who to send you to - you end up in an endless loop of forwarded calls and nobody takes responsibility. They have a long way to go. They also won't take accountability for their many issues with eLSD, rear differential issues, transfer case issues, etc. There is a very high rate of failures and they don't seem to be working on doing anything about it. With my vehicle, it has had the steering rack, water pump, throttle body, door handle and rear differential replaced (twice) in the nearly 2 years I've had it. I don't have much faith that the rear diff isn't going to go out again because they haven't properly resolved the problem - they just keep replacing it and crossing their fingers. What I expect them to do at this point is to give me a lifetime warranty on that one part...but of course they won't even discuss that. Kia and Hyundai have done that on other vehicles so I'm not asking for anything that unusual. Anyway, I am very determined to make something work that I like so that's why I give it 4 stars. I'm not giving up on this because it is just too comfortable a vehicle to throw away at this point. I'm in it for the long haul. Plan on keeping this 10 years+. We'll see if I can hold out...

I have a 2023 Mauna Red AWD 2.5 LT Sport Prestige with Seville Red interior. Bought one month ago and the dealership offered $5000 off MSRP to make room for the 2024 models arriving the following week. I looked at this model as well as comparable models from BMW, Audi, and Mercedes over the last year and a half (waited for pandemic price gouging to come down). So far, this vehicle surpasses my expectations and is loaded with features the competition cannot meet at the price I paid. Massage driver's seat was a nice plus and the technology built into this model is insane (3 D instrument cluster, fingerprint sensor, built in hotspot, etc.). The turbocharged inline 4 has more than enough power and gas mileage is good for what you expect. The warranty is tops among competitors and offers free 3 year valet service (any service work gets you a free Genesis loaner and they pick up your car and bring it back) on top of the standard Hyundai/Kia warranty.

It looks good and has a lot of nice features. Rides nice until you get on the freeway and find that the hood vibrates noticeably at freeway speeds. I trying to get it fixed, I learned it's a common problem with no fix due to design flaw. Those words were used by a dealer assigned to work my case. The Company (Genesis) does not agree with that characterization. Instead they told me it was a "character" of the vehicle. What an absolute crock ! They do not intend to do anything related to this "character". I've had the vehicle two months and I'm sorry I bought it.

Great looks, great ride, and great performance but you need to be a computer whiz or engineer to make almost everything on the infotainment system to work. The owners manual is too dense. A simpler version--Genesis GV 70 for Dummies. My only serious complaint is the map at night. The screen turns black and doesn't show street or road names. At dusk, the screen turns darker but roads and streets are identified. Whoever designed the map system should try using it at night.

I am just amazed by the ride, build quality, and technology in my 2023 GV70 3.5T. It really does outshine the MB and Jaguar products and I say that as a previous owner of those vehicles. Just the amazing number of features you get for the price is crazy. I priced out competitor products and they were easily $10K+ more to get anything equivalent. I actually had to drive 1,300 miles home after flying to DC to pick up my GV70 and it was a great ride. You really cannot go wrong with choosing this SUV.

Basically there's nothing to dislike about this vehicle. Sleek design, drawing attention wherever I drive. Very comfortable seating, with room for 5 adults. Rotary gear shift and infotainment system at first seemed daunting, but within a week all operating systems were second nature. Very responsive engine, smooth shifting, and instant p[ower when needed. Plenty of room in rear section for every day needs, shopping, etc. Every imaginable safety and comfort feature included with the Advanced Package, with the surround view being especially helpful with parking. Driving lights and directional signals extremely large enhancing safety on the road. Lexicon sound system produces theater-like sound throughout the entire vehicle , Free 3 year maintenance, road service, and valet service a plus.

Beg Genesis for Service, No Valet Service

Frustrated Genesis Customer, 09/21/2024
2023 Genesis GV70 3.5T Sport 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl Turbo 8A)

We went to a local dealer to test drive the GV70. We asked the salesperson to find the car we wanted but he wasn't interested. We found it the next day 90 miles away and bought it immediately. We were then shocked to find that none of the three local dealers would service the car, much less provide valet service as they were short on staff. My husband spent 30 hours on the phone with corporate with them BEGGING the dealers to service our car so that we would not have to drive 90 miles for each checkup or worse, a problem with the car. Valet service was not close to being an option. We are extremely upset as that was one discriminating factor for buying the GV70 (being a one car family not close to a dealer). We were looking forward to road trips but now we are wondering what will happen during travel if we break down??? The second nightmare has been their tech service. Our sales folks told us to get a Genesis account right away and set up our Digital Keys. Apparently that was not the proper order. After 15 months the Genesis Technical Customer Service has not been able to solve the problem. Even more aggravating they removed the car from my account so the account is totally worthless. They added three electric vehicles that we do not own to my husband's account. I write them and get a form email back stating that they tried to call (I guess they don't realize cell phones track numbers called, and yes I allow unknown 1-800 numbers) and to please call them again. They have tried a couple of thing half-heartedly. I will NEVER buy another Genesis. It is unfortunate because it is a blast to drive (we have the 3.5T) and I love the features. The company is not staffed with competent people and its dealers have full discretion to only service cars they sell. We previously had an Audi Q5 and BMW 328i and had excellent service.

Overall this is probably the best car I’ve ever owned. I’ve owned & drove daily, a BMW, Porsche, Lexus, Infiniti, Saab, Ford, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, VW, Honda, Chevrolet, Buick, & the nice old Oldsmobile Delta 88, and I believe my GV70 stands out. Sure there are things I’d like to see and it’s not perfect. But, South Korea has done in just a few short years what the United States has been trying to do for 75 years…and they’re still trying.

Genesis GV70, lots of great with a few misses

We purchased a used 2023 GV70 2.5T with the Sport Package and have put about 14k miles on it. Genesis has put together a great auto with a few misses but overall, you will really enjoy owning one. Genesis did a great job with the engine. The turbo 2.5 has tons of torque, averages nearly 30mpg at 75-80 mph and is very smooth. Not at all what you may expect from a 4 cylinder. The V-6 was fun to test drive but we decided to go for more economy plus saved a little buying the 4 vs. 6 cylinder. The transmission works well with the 4 cylinder and seems work seamlessly. We love the styling, inside and out. The dash is like a piece of art work. We get compliments on the car's styling all the time. The seats are infinitely adjustable and very supportive. The massaging driver's seat is a nice touch as well. The A/C vents are perfect. Don't think we've ever owned a car that the vents worked so well. The rotary shift knob took some getting used to but it works so much better than these new electronic shift selectors found on other brands. The handling is sporty but not harsh. It's fun to toss around in corners or accelerate hard out of a corner. The technology and voice command works very well. We enjoy having the weather displayed. The controls are fairly intuitive once you acclimate yourself to the car which you will do quickly. One of the trip odometers resets every time you restart the car, we like that. The headlights are super bright and light up the road well. The sun roof is wonderful. I'm bald headed and have never been able to enjoy a sunroof but the GV70 has such a great solar tint, it never bothers me. The solar screens on the back passenger windows is a nice touch if you have children. The rear seats can be flipped down from the rear hatch. We do not live in a large metro area so we've already learned that service at a Genesis dealer is going to be an issue. Hyundai/Kia dealers do not warranty Genesis. Now, Genesis is requiring their dealers to be a stand alone Genesis brand which compounds service location issues. Items and features Genesis did poorly on: the window trim molding is some kind of anodized looking material and it has become faded and spotty. Can't believe they put that junk on such a beautiful luxury auto. You get more wind buffeting than my Ford F150. The car is pretty quiet, but they flubbed some aerodynamics that cause considerable wind noise around the windows. The 21" wheels on the sport model are unnecessary. 20" would have been much better. Your phone must be wired in to use apple car play, should have been wireless in a 2023 luxury model, especially when you consider how much technology the GV70 has on it. The auto headlamps have to be turned on every time you use them. It should be automatic. Heated/cooled seat controls make no sense. It requires you to take your eyes off the road and turn them up or down. The touch screen is set back too far. You have to readjust your seating to reach it. There is a large gap between the rear hatch and the rear seats and it allows stuff to fall between. We've had to climb in the rear hatch and dig around for groceries that fell and got lost. For us, the pluses far outweigh the quirks we don't like and look forward to many enjoyable miles. Hopeful that warranty issues are few so we don't have to travel to find a Genesis dealer.

Purchased my first Genisis in November 2022 and had an issue with the paint, the trunk was a different color than the rest of the car. After going through Genisis customer relations and working with the dealer they did offer to swap it out for the same model and a different color. I decided to upgrade to the GV70 sport prestige. I had a problem with two of tires cupping which where replaced under warranty. So after the initial problems with the first and second car I can say I’m pleased. The only thing that drives me crazy is when the snow sticks to the front camera the car won’t allow me to use the adaptive cruise control. Other than the items I mentioned I very happy. The car is quite, comfortable and gives a great driver experience.

My 2023 2.5L has 11K miles and I couldn't be happier. Zero problems. The GV70 has the perfect mix of touchscreen AND mechanical buttons/knobs. Manufactures like Mercedes (ie GLC) mistakenly think drivers want all-touchscreen controls - Which creates dangerous situations when focusing eyes too long navigating though menus and pressing tiny icon controls. Basic actions like audio volume/stations and temperature/fan should be controlled by mechanical buttons/knobs, always. Personally, I never actually reach for my touchscreen - And the touch-sensitive control knob works perfect when I need to. Intuitive layout and design. Best seats ever - Feels like a cockpit. Strong AC. Base audio system beats any other base system. 300HP engine is plenty of power and responsive. Super quiet on highways. [I'm on vacation now renting a GLC-300 and my complaints are numerous. Edmunds got it wrong - GV70 wins by a mile]

This car is a dream to drive. I compared many luxury mid-size SUVs- Genesis, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes. This one had the most features packed in (I got the sport prestige trim package), drives and handles beautifully, and is thousands less than the competitors. The matte paint is going to be a bit more finicky in the upkeep, but looks amazing. This car is everything I didn't know I wanted.

SUV is fun to drive but Hyundai has been unable to get the GV 70 to connect to its services. I paid 70k for a vehicle they can’t seem to fix. Loved the car for about 3 months. Since then I've had 2 problems which the techs cannot resolve. Showed them my videos in which I was told it meant nothing to them. Last time I was told it needed a software update and the same day I retrieved my car the same thing happened. I am on the National level now and still haven't been reimbursed for my rentals. They are dragging their feet and I'm on the verge of dealing with the Attorney General.

Purchased this GV70 with the advanced package with the turbo 4 and I couldn’t be more pleased. I have had no problems since purchasing it in July and currently have 4700 miles on it. Handles the mountains great and is a comfortable highway cruiser with 28 mpg at speed. Update 6/24 Used included valet service for 8,000 mile first maintenance and state inspection. Dealership dropped off a new G70 for me and drove my vehicle back. Service was done ahead of promised time. Vehicle has had no problems. 12/6/2024 update Still loving this GV70. The winter cold weather has brought on an appreciation for the high/low temperatures on the steering wheel along with the heated seats. This is the first vehicle that I have continued Sirius radio subscription due to the quietness of the vehicle and the Lexicon sound system.

Naples, FL Genesis, best car dealership experience eva, period! I got a $60,000 Yeti cup with a dozen fresh chocolate chip cookies, and they gave me a free 2024 Genesis GV70 Sport Prestige to go with the cookies. To top it off, the Yeti and the cup-holder are a perfect match! Ask for Arlington, he is AWESOME!! :) Personally, I have owned luxury BMW, Porshe, Audi, Land Rover...none compare to the driving experience of this vehicle. My choice: snow white with the red wine interior. Pity the poor drivers who pull up next to me, and are only embarrassed by end result (and this has happened several times, already). The 2024 GV70 Sport Presige is fun to drive, and remarkable achievement in styling and engineering. Go out and treat yourself. In the end, you'll be thrilled that you did. :) P.S. I was pulled over the other day (no ticket). The police officer was so taken by the interior of this vehicle. I now find myself looking forward to coming and going, even making making excuses to go out for a JOY RIDE!! :)

GV70 2.5 Sport Prestige is NOT as advertised

Readers, and buyers, should know that the GV70 2.5 Sport Prestige is not as Genesis spec's it - nor as summarized in this review. While the 2.5 Advanced has full leather seats, "upgrading" to the Sport Prestige model reverts to cloth seats with minor leather trim - in both front and back. Very disappointing, not up to par with any other car in this category, and quite misleading in their information and spec sheets (as validated also by the Edmunds summary from which you would not expect cloth seats in that highest end configuration). Unfortunate because the rest of the car is pretty great.

Absolutely love this car. I have the 2.5 Advanced trim. I had a 2019 Platinum Nissan Murano which I adored but this is a beautiful upgrade that’s perfect for me! It has so many extras and rides so smooth. I looked at a Mazda CX90 (overpriced), Infiniti QX50 & 60 (not better than my Murano) and the Genesis was by far the best choice! I’m super happy!

I got a new 2023 Genesis GV70. I bought this thanks to Edmunds who ranked this model as #1 among small luxury SUV. The car is so beautiful inside and outside in person. It comes with great audio and many features that I feel quite useful. I got an advanced package with Uyuni white exterior and pine green interior. Inside, the trims and seat belts are brown which complements well with green and detail oriented. Love the performance and how comfortable it is. I strongly recommend this car. Thumbs up!!
