Comfort and Dependability

Cabin design not for everyone. SYNC 3 system is absolutely top notch. Cavernous trunk. Safe, solid and dependable. I have had zero issues with the car in 2 years. For a large car the mileage is good (22-23 mpg, commuting and around town, and I’m heavy on the gas pedal). I find performance with the base engine to be very good. I’m a large person (6’5, 260) and I have plenty of room. A good all-around sedan.

The best car I have ever driven. Before this one, I leased the 2013. Fell in love instantly. It out performs even the Mustang. It’s big, roomy, has all the bells and whistles. I feel extremely safe in this vehicle. Acceleration is awesome and it brakes on a dime. I will always be a SHO girl!

I've driven Fords since 1978 (EXP) - driving both cars (T'birds mostly) and SUVs (Explorer, Flex & Expeditions). The Taurus is a 4-door Thunderbird - love the way it handles and quick response to the pedal. I thought I would miss the Flex but I have just as much room and storage area (trunk is huge) in the Taurus. Ford Sync 3 is a big improvement over 1 and 2. Really enjoy driving it.

A wonderful surprise!

I purchased my 2016 Taurus SEL in May of 2017 to replace a string of three Buicks that I owned previously. To my surprise, my Taurus rides just as well, is as quiet, and is more comfortable and gets better gas mileage than my Buicks. I did not buy it for performance, but the engine and transmission are more than adequate. Because it is a sedan, and was over a year old when I bought it, I got a GREAT purchase price, and now, six months later, have absolutely no buyer's remorse for purchasing the 2016 Ford Taurus. Great job, Ford!
