We purchased our solid black/charcoal stripes Shelby GT500 new in Aug 2013. We originally bought a new 1968 GTO in Sept. 1968, had it until 2007 when it was stolen and trashed. We still have the muscle car bug and went to the local dealership and our baby was just sitting there on the lot waiting for us. We drove it out the same day. Now have had it 10 yrs this past Aug. It gets so many looks every time we take it out. Have had many people take pictures of it while driving. It is one fun sports car to drive w/ a 6 speed manual. As long as I am able to drive it we will never part w/ it. Will be 80 next month and I would say not many 80 yr olds driving a nice Shelby

Wanted something I'd never get tired of driving and wow, 3 years in and I'm still in love. I bought used with 19k miles and so far (5k miles) no issues at all . Interior a bit plain, who cares ... If you're buying this you appreciate the beautiful retro exterior and the engine and drivetrain. And comparing it to the ZL1 is like comparing Sophia Loren to a female humanoid. The Shelby's classic body versus something looks like it came out of the transformer movie. I'm sorry the hellcat is just too heavy of a car for me.
