Used 2013 Ford Focus Consumer Reviews
peice of junk
just traded out and lost $$$$ of this 6 mo old 6000 mi junk. it was unsafe at any speed with its fixed 3x steering and jerky transmission. ford knows all about but this crooked co wont do a thing other than say its fine nothing wrong even though it replaced the whole steering system to no avail problem is in the computer. in any case a word to the wise....
Swiss Army Knife Car
Balance of fun with practicality. With back seats down I can carry a lot, always fun to drive and inspires confidence. Menu system is a little hard to get used to, but simplifies the dash layout for the things you do most often. In a modern car with many features this will always be the case. The back seat is short on space for an adult, but better than some other cars in this class. At least the windows let the back seat occupants feel comfortable and the 4-doors give them easy in-and-out.

Ford can't fix it!
Drove it for 3.5 years before it died. Ford has had it in the shop for over 2 months, and now needs 3 more weeks to remove the EV battery, ship it to Detroit, get a repaired or replacement back and see if that fixes it. The way it died was scary - notice on dash said "pull over now". Stepped on accelerator and nothing happened. If I'd been on a busy freeway, I could have been in real trouble. I don't trust the car any more, but I can't get the stupid thing back from the shop to be able to sell it and get something I can trust. I will never own another Ford if there is any way I can help it.

2007 Focus SES 2 door Hatch Back
I bought my Ford Focus SES new and have performed all of the routine maintenance myself. The vehicle has not required any repair. I primarily drive and service with an emphasis on preserving the reliability of the automobile. I have replaced the battery and wiper blades only. The origional tires show 50% wear. I live in Las Vegas, NV, and high summer temperatures kill automobile batteries. I get only 2+ years of battery service in our vehicles. I buy batteries from Ford. They last longer than other batterys, ie: Walmart, K Mart, etc. If I drive conservatively, I achieve the EPA fuel economy ratings. Best handling small car I have ever owned. 37K miles, Always garaged.
A real junker
I went to trade my black 2005 ZX4SE 5-speed in for (hopefully) another black 5-speed Focus back in January 2012. Ended up with a pewter-colored PowerShift (sales manager said I'd get better gas mileage with the auto). 5,495 miles was all I could stand - A/C only worked intermittently (dealer said that was normal), front end made loud crunching noises over bumps, and the transmission felt like a bag of bolts hanging underneith the car. I replaced this car with a 2013 GTI - wish I'd dumped Ford long ago.
