Never Thought I'd Drive a Ford...

2011 Ford Flex Titanium 4dr Wagon (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

I just went from an '05 Infiniti FX35 to the 2011 Titanium Ford Flex. Did I just really type that sentence? First off, I should say I test drove three minivans; Odyssey, Routan & Sienna. Out of the three, the Odyssey was the best BUT, it was a minivan. I couldn't get over the horrid styling of all three. We actually considered the MINI Countryman since it's such a fun drive, but the lack of space was a problem. Then, we drove the Flex. Hands down, the smoothest ride. This SUV is big but uses the space wisely. We've heard nothing but good things from those who have bought a Flex, too. So happy with our purchase! Get one...it's totally worth it if you need space but don't want a minivan.

I have a 2012 ford flex. I just hit 60,000 miles and with it has come a fuel pump failure! I took it to the dealer who 'fixed' it. Of course, the repair is not complete and know I can smell gas after parking my car in my garage. Oh Joy! More time at the dealer trying to get them to fix an issue they created with an initial repair attempt. Very Frustrating Ford! I feel the car has been pretty good up to this point. I like the strong engine and ride quality. It is a good car for long car trips. I am very concerned about the long term quality - Ford is exactly known for quality. I had to have the brakes (pads and rotors!) replaced around 55k. This car may be better for a lease!

Family Flex

2012 Ford Flex SEL 4dr Wagon (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

This is the perfect family car. Low to the ground like a minivan, but interior space of a larger SUV. Third row seats that fold away make for easy changes for cargo or extra passengers.

We bought our Flex used with 76,000 miles on it. It had obviously been well cared for. We drove it and were surprised by how well it handled for such a large vehicle. All 4 of us in the family are comfortable in the Flex and we have plenty of room and decent economy (again, considering the size). We also talked to people who owned or had owned a Flex and they all said they loved the vehicle. Haven’t owned it long but so far we are enjoying it.

Love my Flex

Car has a great ride even on long distance trips. 2nd row seating has enough leg room as the front row. Priceless. City/Hwy average 19-22 depends on how much city driving you do. Highway I can get 26mpg or a bit better if I keep it under 80mph. I'll be buying another one of these
