Used 2021 Ford Escape Consumer Reviews
Ford Escape Hybrid 2021
Gets great gas mileage, for me it averages 42+ mpg. Love all the features and options. Has plenty of room and is comfortable.
Pass
Hard ride, under powered, and like most Fords the engineering is bizarre, from where things are positioned i.e.: the washer fluid fill, the hood release and other weird decisions. I'd never get another Ford, especially and Escape. Value simply isn't there.

A well designed SUV
I have the 3 cylinder engine and get between 35 and 37 mpg all the time driving a mixture of city and highway driving. I do drive very conservatively. The problem I have with this SUV is that the road noise at highway speed on anything but the smoothest surface is not acceptable. Ford did an excellent job designing this escape but dropped the ball big time when it comes to soundproofing it. I do not like the stop/start feature. Every time you start your car you have to press a button to turn the annoying thing off. One other feature that should be noted is that there is no dipstick for checking the transmission fluid level! There is a rediculous procedure to check it which for most people will require having the dealer check it.
