Surprisingly not enjoying.
This is my third Edge, and wish I would have kept my 2015. The good: The 2019 drives and handles well. It has a very solid feel but still soft and compliant. Ride is very quiet. This is my first experience with the Ecoboost, and it really has good power and acceleration. The bad: Beginning at 400 miles, had issues with heavy clunking from under vehicle under acceleration. After 24 days in the shop without answer, Ford engineers determined it was a bad PTU, and since being replaced, only had it happen a couple more times. Also having issues with sluggish acceleration. If driving steady and lift off throttle, when I pick it back up, the vehicle doesn't respond quickly to the throttle. Like there is a lag. Still working to demonstrate this to dealer, but frustrating and a safety concern. Also some issues where the Sync screen backlight doesn't turn off. Bottom line is that I really want to like the vehicle, but just can't get past the issues with it compared to previous models. At this point, I'm disappointed.

Great vehicle
I am on my third Edge and I could not be more happy with it. I started with the SE and then the Titanium and now recently upped to the ST. Drives great, interior is top, never a problem. The reviewer above with technical issues must have a bonafide internal issue as I have had 0 problems in over 6 years of owning now 3 different Edge trucks. And for the con on this review at the top - of the interior controls being bland or dated - I think its perfect as you should not have to be a NASA employee to operate your truck. And I say that and I work in technology. I looked at some other models and rented a few and the difference in ease of use, where buttons were located, and overall operation was actually one of the things that really stuck out . The interior is just more intuitive to me anyhow.

Best in Class
Drove all the competition and the Edge had more comfort and value than any of them in. Handles more like a sports car with a very smooth quiet ride. Traded up from the 2016 Edge for more safety and drivers assist features. Only issue so far is the Homelink, that doesn't want to work with my garage door. Ford is helping to find a fix

Smooth Operator
This is a smooth operating vehicle. Quiet on the road. 2.0L Turbo more than enough to power this 4,000lb+ car especially if you have it in Sport mode. More than enough room for cargo. Getting 25 mpg in town and 29-30 mpg on the interstate. You learn how to operate the electronics after a few days of driving. Nice trim and fit. B&O radio to die for!!! Trans is smooth and responsive. Some hesitation in Drive but Sport mode will move it quickly. Lousy horn for a $40,000+ vehicle. Ford should know better as this is a quality car.

ST 2019 Edge
This is a brand new vehicle and I’m having all sorts of problems. The touchscreen freezes intermittently which controls everything. The lift gate failed and I have to manually open it. The auto stop feature will sometimes stall the car which needs to be restarted. The gas pump shuts off prior to filling the tank. Odd things that are just a nuisance. The dealer will be looking at it next week, but they said intermittent is difficult to repair. Seriously?!? It’s a brand new car!
