What a disappointment
The 2013 and 2014 Ford CMAX had transmission problems that Ford knew about and kept hidden from customers. Instead of a recall the issued a TSB, Technical Service Bulletins to dealers which told then that if an owner came in with a grinding sound in the transmission AND if the car was still under warranty, Ford would reimburse the dealer for the cost of the repair/replacement. My car was out of warranty and Ford would do nothing to mitigate the cost. I traded the car, lost money and would never recommend this or any Ford model. PS Ford lied about the gas mileage too and is being sued.

Review to put an end to all the Gripes
After reading these reviews, i thought i would post my experience with the C-Max SE. A few weeks ago, my wife and purchased TWO C-max Hybrids SE's and our different driving styles render different MPG. All of our driving is on flat roads, rangeing from residential to rural highway. My particula driving style is slow and easy and I am doing my best to learn to drive the C-Max for ECO purposes. My wife is 14 years younger than me and drive differently. Me personally, i refuse to use the A/C unless i need to and she has to because we have an infant. I'm getting 45.8 MPG, She gets 39.2 MPG.
A lot more than expected
5000 miles already doing 40~ MPG in 40 miles to work each way, fun to drive, Excellent braking capacity, and very agile and precise in hard braking, very good accel 4 a hybrid, like the sync but needs to get ued to it nice dashboard, and very confortable with most controls on the wheel very nice car, forget the prius that lags in evrything my only con is that is a little high in the interior excellent the michelins and semi low profile tyres works very well I like it, I believe I will put 100k miles in 3 years here...
Ford’s best kept secret!!
I bought my little 2013 Ford C-Max SE in May, and it hasn’t disappointed!! This little thing lacks nothing! It is much roomier than it looks, has excellent cargo space for my family of 4, and all the bells and whistles that a girl could ask for, not to mention it’s saving me so much money in gas! Unfortunately, the C-Max gets overlooked by the Toyota Prius, The C-Max is superior in all areas to the Prius but unfortunately it already had the market before the C-Max came along. Test drive after test drive by the professionals prove the prowess of the C-Max in the hybrid market. I was heartbroken to learn that after 2019 Ford won’t make the C-Max anymore, but I’m very happy that I got mine and it gets attention everywhere I go! I honestly wouldn’t trade this car for anything else! It is love!!

No Problems Mon
Bought my wife's C-Max June 2013, at 12,000 miles now and the car has been perfect. I believe that Ford has ironed out the kinks in early models (late 2012 - early 2013) -- we have had no problems with dead battery, SYNC system, etc. Recommend this car to anyone who want the high MPG of a hybrid with decent handling, acceleration and creature comforts. We paid $26,000 out the door and are very pleased, good job Ford!
