Love my old Ram
My truck will be 10 in August and has more than 200,000 miles. The steering is a little loose these days but this truck has done everything I've ever asked of it and then some. It has towed my horse trailer, driven through 3 feet of snow, carried 5200 lbs of gravel and never complained. Always starts on the first try!
Best truck I ever owned!
Purchased this truck new in 1995. It currently has 105000 mi. on the odometer. Other than the usual maintenance, I have only had to replace one significant mechanical part - a $400 steering box. I thought about buying a new truck in 2009, but since I haven't had any major mechanical problemms, I decided to do a cosmetic makeover. Sent it to the body shop and had all the dings taken out and new paint applied. I then installed new front and rear bumpers, new grill, new headlights and tailights. Also installed new bedliner and cover and new tires and wheels. Because I am an upholsterer, I was able to bring the interior back to new condition. I am now enjoying my new 14 yr. old truck!

Best Truck Driven
I bought my Ram used last year, and it runs great. The 5.9 V8 is awesome, fast and powerful for a truck this size, this old. The interior is great, really comfortable. Two problems though. The cupholders. Every time I put a drink in my cupholder, it'll fall when I take a curve. I actually installed another cupholder on the middle hump in the floor. The paint. is peeling bad, and shouldn't peel so soon. Plus, bad mileage.
Putting It Back Into Use
I found this '95 online and bought it spring of 2010 for backup vehicle & weekend rides. Limited use from previous owner ("for hunt'n/fish'n"). With only 65k miles on it, most issues are from sitting in a barn (headliner dry/falling, etc.) and some frame rust (drop'n boat in & out). More than enough truck 4 my needs. Great reliability so far. Got one small patch of the usually paint peel, some oxidizing too. My 17yr old son loves the truck as well; cant wait to get something else for him so I can have my truck back! Good, strong, simple truck; w/minor restoration, minimal winter exposure, this truck could definitely last me through retirement (another 15 years yet)!
The Truck that Started a Trend
I wanted to buy one of these pickups when they debut as '94 models. I could not afford one at the time so I had been saving up to pay cash for one. Well I finally was able to afford one. This is really a nice truck that drives and rides like a car. The trend mentioned in the "Title" is the trend of car like trucks, but make no mistake this is a "TRUCK". I have towed and I have carried heavy loads. I really enjoy the truck.
Great Truck
Bought this truck brand new in1995. So my truck is 25 years old. The dash had to be replaced. I just recently got it repainted. It has 192,000 miles. It still runs and drives great. Body is in great condition. Only had to replace the waterpump. This truck has been a very reliable vehicle. I had to replace the hood liner, and the sun visors. Love this truck and i wouldn't trade it for anything.

Impressive
This truck has TONS of power. Not good for city commuting but MUCH fun when your forcast indicates 10"+ snow. A great and reliable vehicle! I have the sport edition with the bed cover.
No More Dodge
Peeling Paint, rusting doors, and it is not even 10 years old. Has been undercoated and paint protected every year since new. Cruise control works when if feels like. Last 22000 miles it has been missing, bucking and kicking at 45 to 65 MPH despite three sets of plug wires and distributer caps. Oil has been changed every 3K. Trans every 60K. Seat has torn around the adjustment for lumbar support. I see 10 year old GM/Ford Products with less care looking better.
Amazing truck
I haven't had the truck for very long but it is a great truck. It has 188,000 miles on it and is still running strong! It drives great in the snow and pulls like a beast. It has only had regular matenance and a new transmission. I love it. Its got a 5.9 liter v8 so I don't expect any sort of good gas mileage from it but that's okay it's a good truck. And one of my head lights its full of water. I would like to know how that happened!
A Decent truck
This is the only Chrysler vehicle I have ever owned. It didn't have the "transmission problem" I have heard about with Chrysler. When I bought it, it had 164k miles on it. Its really reliable, and for an old beater truck it gets decent gas mileage, about 13 average mpg. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it was really rusty. The rocker panels and door bottoms are rotted off, amazingly the underbelly is still solid. The truck sure had power though. And its really durable. I was in an accident involving a parked car, my truck totaled the car, but didn't even dent the bumper on the truck. Overall, I'd say it's a good truck.
Nice Truck
I purchsed this truck with 79,000 miles on it a little over 2 years ago. The truck is now showing 102,000 miles and I have done little work to it (tires, shocks, o/p sending unit, routine maintenance). It has never failed to start. If you can find a good, clean one that has been well taken care of, I would recommend this truck for those that do not want to pay $32,000+ for a new one.
I will never buy another Dodge as long as I live
**They want me to update my review. It's still a piece of junk and I will never buy another american corporate made piece of junk again as long as I live. Toyota is my go to now. American companies never learned what the Japanese and the rest of us know. A lasting quality product trumps a piece of cheap junk any day hands down. This is the biggest pile of junk that I have ever owned in my life I am over 65 years old and have owned many vehicles in my lifetime but this one has been the worst one I have ever owned bar none !!! It is falling apart just two years after I bought it. I have put four thousand dollars in repairs and it has left me on the road eight times. I had FOUR TOYOTA trucks before it for my work as a Residential builder and I never even had to do a tune up to them till after 125,000 miles !!! I still have one of my Toyotas T100 from 96 and it has run and run and run. With 287,000 miles on it I have tuned it up twice and changed oil regular. Replaced head gasket last year and it still runs like a champ. I have pulled Fords, Chevys, and GMC trucks out of the snow almost every year. Can't brag on it enough. I have drove it through rivers, and anywhere I wanted to go never got stuck. I have a Tundra now and it is even better than my other Toyotas NEVER AGAIN, NEVER NEVER EVER BUY A DODGE !!! Update, Toyota's still going strong. Dodge in a pile, rust heap, called and had it towed for salvage, didn't even get $100 for it. IF American companies start building better products instead of junk that they try to make money on, by blowing smoke up your dress then AFTER I have seen others succeed with them I 'might' consider buying it. Update again, Dodge still a piece of junk, Toyota still going strong

95 Ram
I've owned it for a year now & love it. The mileage isn't great, but it's a full size. The design is sweet.
Excellent vehicle
I bought my 4x4 SB Ram in '96. As of today the vehicle has just under 100k miles on it, has been halfway across the country, with no major problems. I am a Mopar only guy, so I would have bought Dodge anyway; BUT I've got to give credit where it's due, and this truck certainly deserves it's fair share. Other than normal maintenace items (shocks, brakes, ect), it has needed almost nothing in the time I've owned it. Only thing I would change today we be to replace it with a 2500, as my needs have changed.
Dependable Dodge
dependable handles great in the snow felling safe and more protected than most
SUPERB TRUCK
I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK FOR 7 YEARS AND 17 DAYS AGO WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT- - 18 YR OLD RAN STOP SIGN WHILE WE WERE TRAVELING 60 MPH! - TRUCK TOTALLED. BUT I TRULY BELIEVE THIS TRUCK SAVED OUR LIVES. HAVE DONE THE BASIC MAINT. ON IT. NO MAJOR STUFF - STARTER AND WATER PUMP AND THAT WAS JUST WITHIN THE LAST YEAR. HAVE 140,989 MI AND IT HAS PURRED ALL THESE YEARS. EXCEPT FOR THE PEELING PAINT - WHICH CHRYSLER WOULD NOT COVER - ANOTHER LONG STORY- I'VE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THE TRUCK. I ALSO PULL A 20 FT BOAT WITH IT AND HAVE NOT ONE PROBLEM WITH THAT. I WILL BE GETTING ANOTHER RAM ! THIS TRUCK IS RAM TOUGH !!
95 Dodge Laramie
152,000 miles. Except for a very noisy (constant roar) rear end that is bothersome on long drives, and causes me to turn up the radio, and a need to replace the starter, I have had no problems with the truck. It is very comfortable.
It's a truck
Not bad for an almost quarter million mile truck. Dodge's are not known for gas mileage but strong engine. Big interior for a regular cab.
'95 Dodge Ram 1500
Excellent truck mechanically, very reliable, but very poor cosmetically. By age 5, headliner had started to fall, external clearcoat was wearing away, and vinyl top of dashboard was developing major cracks.
best truck I've owned..used.
I bought this truck with 40K miles on it. I've owned ford, chevy and toyota but this has been the best yet! It's loaded, drives Great and has been very depenedable! I can't say that for any of my prior trucks.... other than the toyota (but that was useless as a truck). My wife has been using it as her daily driver, and I feel better knowing she is safe. On weekends I use it to tow my boat (2000+ pounds), work around the house and what ever else is needed. And it looks GREAT... tough and classy! Even with 7 years under the tires people still compliment it.
27 years and 70,000 miles
Its mine
Bullgods Dodge Review
I have owned this modell truck for 9 years and have never had any trouble. Only replacements have been the normal maintenance like oil, oil filter, air filter, brakes, rotors, shocks, and tires.
