Bought new in 2013. Just turned 101,000. Just put on my third set of tires.......other than frequent oil changes, not $1 spent on any other maintenance. Update. Just turned 125000. Still on original set of brakes...amazing. Just had my first check engine light, turned out to be a stuck thermostat so I am scheduling for replacement this week. That will be the first maintenance/replacement item since new. Update: After 147000 miles the wife decided she wanted a new vehicle. Sold the Charger on craigslist and got 12k for it. Hated to see it go.

My review was on the AWD Hemi 5.7 not the SE V6

As long as I'm making the correction to the model, I'll add some additional thoughts. I can't imagine any complaints on the Hemi other than the mileage. If you want great MPG, why buy the Hemi? My mixed driving MPG is 19.7. Highway MPG is 25.1. I believe this will improve as the car breaks in but I see little chance of the 30+ that some are claiming. Using regular gas gives me a 15% cost advantage over the small turbos I drove in the past so given the breathtaking performance, gas mileage is fine. I imagine a 10 - 15% improvement when the 8 speed is available later this year. On the road the ride is glass smooth & Lexus quiet. With the monster sound system the trips all seem shorter.

I have a 2013 SXT Plus AWD Charger V6 with 8 speed auto transmission with the bells and whistles. Great Ride! Pluses: 35 mpg on the highway due to Econo Mode where 2 cylinders shut down on road trips. Very stable in turns, it is a heavy car, just over 2 tons. Very nice and smooth acceleration, interior very comfortable. It has many amenities that much more expensive vehicles have. Love the styling. AWD works great. Minuses, really minor. The head room with the sun roof is barely enough for me at 6'2". Rear headroom is low. Trunk is roomy, but trunk entrance is not. Need funnel to add fuel additives or else spill occurs out wheel well (surprise!). Overall best car I ever drove!

Before buying this vehicle you should not listen to what anyone says about previous Dodge models and go with your own mind ive had this car brand new since 2013 i now have 107,550 miles on it and have only replaced a fuel pump at 23,000 miles......but overal the car is great no other problems the key to it is to keep GOOD OIL AND GOOD FUEL and it will run tremendously

R/T fun

Lots of fun to drive with the R/T plus. Good balance of handling and comfort for those who commute and don't want to race this beast. Acceleration is awesome and fun, although its so quick you need to take it on a race track to really see what that Hemi can do. Long commutes getting 23 mpg, long freeway trips 25 mpg. Cruising in this car is a delight, quiet and cozy seats, good sound (no beats upgrade) and loud enough. Rear visibility is poor, but with the rear view camera backing up is easy. Blind spot is huge, but with the side mirror proximity sensors light, you get that warning that somebody is in your blind spot. My opinion is that that these two technologies are important.

Dodge Has Been Busy!

During the last 20 years or so Dodge has definitely been busy designing and building cars that exude visceral appeal! The 2014 Charger SXT is just such a car! It's rated at 300 hp with an 8 spd tranny that is rated to deliver 31 mpg hwy. On a short test loop I recorded an average of 35 mph with little more effort than avoiding hard throttle application, and managing my approach to stop lights - I would say Dodge's numbers are accurate for those who actually drive to conserve fuel. The Charge is a full-size, 4-door...spacious interior, very well laid-out instrument panel with large 8.4" touch screen display, Garmin Nav system...pretty much all the bells and whistles.

By far this is a great performing car. I was attracted to it from it's head turning ability. The interior is large and comfortable. The Acceleration is great. The Handling could be better, But it is a large sedan. The Safety features are wonderful. All the controls and physical buttons are easy to use. Very simple and easy to learn. The interior is aging fast. Some of the plastics are starting to rattle. Around 50,000 Miles I began to have engine misfires due to solenoids. At 56,000 miles, my water pump action completely failed. The coolant spilled everywhere causing overheating. The dealership has been great in providing warranty service. I really wanted to keep this car for the long haul. However, I think the dodge shortcuts are becoming more visible with time. I still love this car.

First American car I ever owned since brand new and absolutely loved it. Just turned 85k miles it runs like brand new and super smooth ride, surprisingly 8 speed automatic transmission gives decent mpg . Far as maintenance first time changed it brakes and rotors recently. Having some climate (fan mixer or flaps) issues couple years ago other than that nothing major!!! Highly recommended

We purchased our 2013 RT Road and Track several months ago. Coming from the muscle car era and not having anything to show for it, decided to purchase my wife and I a new age one. Our vehicle is fully loaded accept for the radar speed control. This baby is black on black and is a true head turner. The Road and Track package gives the car a stiffer ride but for us old dragsters it is not bad. Hands down this is the most beautiful sporty road car inside and out and boy does she fly! Not bad on gas either:}

I now have over 4,000 miles on this Beast. Over 2 tons of American muscle, however, it consistently gets 0 to 60 times of 4.6 to 4.7 seconds. Build quality is superb. Better than my 4 previous Acuras and 1 prior Lexus. Base sound system is wonderful. I have not found a single flaw or problem with it yet. The 6.4 liter hemi that puts out 470 hp is beyond description. Acceleration is so wonderful that I am addicted to it. Every day I wake up eager to drive this incredible vehicle. My son has a 2012 Challenger SRT8 with the same 6.4 liter hemi. His experience is the same. Like me, me plans to drive his SRT8 forever.

Just got my 13 Charger R/T 2 weeks ago. I was driving a 02 GTP turbocharger. Boy what a difference in comfort and drive! I am totally loving my Charger with all the bells and whistles. The seats are so comfortable I can't wait each day to get in and drive. My GTP was a great car and had turbo so it went pretty fast but the Charger just goes by instinct. All I have to do is say "go" and we are off. I can't say much more about this car except it is awesome and looks pretty dang sexy! My only complaint is the sound system. I love my music and love it loud and thumping. The sound system in the car just doesn't do that well. Will be adding additional sound equipment to get the sound I want.

Own a 2013 Dodge Charger SE V6 with Sports Appearance Package. To noe it s been a great car, comfortable, great handling, surprising amount pf power, gets many compliment, but was disappointed to recently receive a recall involving faulty alternator which could potentially compromise my safety. Been a month now and Chrysler still has no alternator replacements, and doesnt know when they will! Meanwhile Im paying for a car i m afraid to drive! Very poor service on Chryslers part! Because of this I dont think I would buy another! Beware recall involves 2012,2013,2014 Charger, Challenger, 300, Durango , Cherokee/V6

When I turned 16 and got the extra truck my parents had, I knew I wanted something else. Living in Michigan, I needed something that could handle the winter and turn heads on the road. After months of searching, I landed on the only AWD muscle car. I made sure to get the 5.7 V8 that purrs like a classic muscle and drives with good pickup. I love my charger, my friends love it, and I think if Dodge adds AWD to their new V8 chargers, I’d have to end up getting one of those too!

I never thought I would own a police car. Now it drives like a brand new car handles like a dream performed like a race car. Oh no door handles on the rear and windows can only be controlled from driver seat. Found it a auction. Was a dectives car. So not driven by to many people. Price very good 60% lower than going prices for same auto. Beware there are costs you must factor in to buying one of these super fast heavy duty autos. Some auction services charge a buyers premium. 5 to 20% not all but many. Do inspect it before buying. Some are trashed. Mine was in super shape. But still required quite a bit but still a savings. Here is the list. 1. Dashboard needed covers for center where cop stuff was. Charge port panels. Ebay. Center console also ebay item. 2.Spare tire and jack. Ebay as well. 3. Tires do not buy the cop tires they are 400.00 bucks each. Brake pads all the way around. 4. Control arms 4 in front. 5. Shocks in rear. 6.Struts in front pair. 7.Tune up be warned spark plugs 16 in total at 17.50 each. 8. Transmission service fluid filter. Ok that is everything 2013 charger police pursuit = Dodge str8 at dealer was selling for 15 thousand. I paid 6500. 6500. Bought 600. Four tires 450. Control arms installed moog. 250 struts installed 220 shocks installed. 150 brake pads installed 89. Spare tire and jack ebay. 300. Dash and center console parts I installed these myself. Plug and play screws not hard. 400 plugs transmission service installed. 82950. Tax plates not included. But still less than buying anywhere else. And it is 100% correct. Bullet proof doors stab proof seats faster than most cars out there. A blast to drive as many people think you are a cop. Slow down get out of your way. Give you food drinks Yada Yada. Once a cop did not even pull out running radar. Waved I waved back almost had a heart attack as I was speeding would have been in jail. That was the last time I ever went that fast as I figured my luck had been used up with that break.

We just had 16 inches of snow and the AWD SXT 8 speed handles it better than my Mazda Tribute SUV. Braking and cornering is a dream. I can't even tell when the vehicle is shifting gears... smooth as butter with great exceleration when you need it. All in a V6! We are averaging 24 mpg (mostly highway). Better than the soccer-mom-van we traded in for our "midlife crisis" car. JK. Actually, we plan on giving this vehicle to our daughter after she learns to drive. I feel happy she will be getting a "hand me down" this safe.

Lost Chrysler Customer

I will never purchase another vehicle manufactured by Fiat Chrysler. My car was in the shop for more than 70 days within a 8 month timeframe. I was left on the side of the road four different times within those 8 months. Work was completed under warranty by three different certified dealerships. I had more than 10 different case managers at Chrysler Customer Care with varying levels of competence. One actually suggested I call my insurance company. Another wanted me to wait on the side of the road until the next morning. This all started with a recall issue which I then had to have re-repaired over and over to fix additional damages that were caused by poor workmanship. A Dodge dealership is now offering me only $16,000 for a car I paid $42,000 for. I had to pay to replace my battery when they left my lights on waiting for repair. They didn't properly reimburse the rental car company either, which resulted in me being put on a "Do Not Rent" list until I covered the charges. Horrible, horrible experience.

I thought I was crazy trading my MB GLK350 in for a Dodge. I can say right now it was definitely worth it. The car is built as solid as my MB and has better technology and a lot more personality. Don't know if the service will be as good but hope I never find out. Between the rebates I got this car for $30.5K. The car has plenty of pickup and so far I have not noticed that this car only has a 5 speeds.

I have owned this vehicle for about 3 months and it’s my daily driver for work . I couldn’t find any services records indicating that the transmission had ever been serviced and I have given it an oils change and changed the air filter . The car has been great . It’s not at about 150,000 km and even after long drives the transmission and engine coolant temperature stay well within ideal operating range . Which I think is a pretty good indication that it is fairly healthy . So far I would recommend this as a used car for anyone. I was however dissapointed that the base model (which I have ) sells for the same price used as some of the sportier trims . So my recommendation would be to possibly find one with the 8 speed transmission or all wheel drive for around the same price .

Good and Bad....but no Ugly

I've been a Dodge/Mopar fan since I was 16 y.o....so...knew I'd own this car when it came out. But, as with any great love, it's not all sunshine and roses. I'm almost at 94,000 miles now on this car and the problems have begun....bluetooth needed replaced, blew a water pump, dash vent pulled loose, ventilated seats sometimes refuse to work, etc... and these problems to the gas mileage and people question why I still own it. Then I let them take it for a spin! When the V8 Hemi kicks in and the AWD grabs the corners....they know why I keep it. Plenty of room for me and the wife and kids....can play a DVD if sitting somewhere....lots of little convenience extras and very comfortable. It has become my all year long car! Great in the snow, fun on dry roads, and my 16 and 17 y.o. sons love it too....when I let them take it! I also bought a 2015 Charger with the V6....that was a better driving around for work car ( until some drunk totalled it while it was parked outside my house!). But, i wouldn't give up my V8 Hemi 2013 Charger! The repair costs may reach a point where it just doesnt make sense to keep it, but hopefully that is years and years away. I do wish Dodge offered a better/longer warranty ( 3years/36000 miles? That's ridiculous given car prices and when compared to every other vehicle manufacturer). Also wish the resale/trade values weren't such crap...my wifes 2013 kia optima has a higher trade value than my Charger!? So...there's a lot of good....some bad...but nothing about this car is ugly!

Traded my VW Jetta for this baby! All I had was 4 cylinders with a max of 170 HP, to upgrade to 370 was awesome! Almost 400 ft lbs torque is simply sensational. The Uconnect 8.4 inch screen was easy to use, Beats sound system is great, cooled and heated leather seats are comfortable, remote start is a favorite. It's a dream to drive, I don't get passed up all the time anymore, just put my foot down and I'm instantly thrown back in my seat and I'm gone! MPG is a bit low as I'm averaging about 18-20 MPG but I do kind of have a lead foot but with this car, who wouldn't?! Definitely a keeper

I now have about 5,600 on "White Lightning". I still look forward to every day that I can jump into this awesome machine and drive anywhere at all. I frequently have people at gas stations, parking lots, and drive-throughs comment on how gorgeous she looks. Turns heads everywhere. I still LOVE the 6.4 liter Hemi with 470 hp. What I love almost as much as the power is the safety-tech features. The Blind spot warning and back-up assistance with cross traffic warning is AWESOME!! They have worked flawlessly and prevented at least one accident so far.

Bought it at 44k miles, had it till about 90k. I wrecked it unfortunately. But it was running PERFECT. I imagine it would’ve ran another 10k miles no issue. It was always smooth and easy to maintain. BUT at about 60k miles the computer in the car went bad it was a recall I think dealer fixed it for free. Car started timing out after 30min-2 hours and would immediately start jerking as if it was going to break down. Yeah it was the computer and spark plugs. Computer was free then had to change spark plugs for $400 at dodge. If this happens to you take it to dodge!! I went to like three mechanics before I said screw it. They “charge” for the diagnostic but if it’s the computer (car starts jerking like CRAZY!!) at 60k ish miles they won’t charge ya. After that I had no issues ever again seriously. Love this car, this car was my first true love. I had an Audi A4 and a Chrysler 200 after and my heart will always be with this car. 5 years I had it!! 2016-2021

I bought my R/T with Road & Track package in Feb 2013. Options on the car are Nav and forged aluminum wheels. Color is Redline with red interior. I knew I was interested in the R/T with Road & Track. When I saw the Redline Red with red interior, I was partially hooked. Now I had to test drive. The test drive (one hour) sealed the deal!! After driving nearly 11,000 miles, this car is excellent, fun to drive, solid build. I get 21mpg to 21.5 on my commute to and from work and get 25mpg on the HWY. I get weekly compliments on the car, the color, the interior and the wheels. If the dealer would have had an SRT8 other than black....I think I would have bought it!!!

The 11-14's are lumped in with the 15-23 models as the same generation, but they are different cars with different handling and even different transmissions and drivetrains. I drove my 13 R/T Road & Track with Scat Pack Stage 1 for 9 years and 105k miles - only issue I had was a bad O2 sensor and humidity sensor. Do yourself a favor and use full synthetic oil and 91+ Octane and the car will last forever (22 MPG average). I was T-boned by someone running a redlight, otherwise I'd still be driving it. Car was totaled and I "upgraded" to a 2021 Scat Pack - besides the updated infotainment on the 2021, the 2013 was a much better vehicle and a lot more fun to drive.

Very dependable, great horse power. The only problem is when it needs any work at all, it is not cheap.

At 2013 t's still a head turner and still gets compliments at work. " you drive a hellcat" even though it's an srt8. I did just mostly synthetic oil change and regular scheduled maintenance. Alternator I changed. Rotors and breaks. Bluetooth problems. Otherwise I'm satisfied with it. My 2016 392 challenger already has oil leaks and thermostat overheating problems at 49,000 miles.im a lady driver.
