I have been getting a lot of compliments on the style of the car. The people say the body style is in its own, but wish sometimes it would go back to old style Charger. The people that have ridden with me says the performance is great, and the handling is outstanding. The interior is comfortable and roomy.

I bought my RT a couple of weeks ago and I love it. It drives nice and has a lot of power. I love the GPS system and the interior layout (although the cupholders should be larger).

The Beast

I am a 50 year old mom and have a need for speed. I traded in my Mustang I owned for 5 years for this big beast. My husband had asked me to trade in my car for something more comfortable and has more room for the family, so I looked and looked, fighting the fact I needed something fast and muscle packed. Finally found this beast, and it was love at first sight. The power is so over whelming and so tuff to the human eye, but a soft comfortabe touch in side. The color is pearl black which turns heads everywhere I go. This is a keeper!

Fun car to drive. R/T seats make a lot of differance with my bad back. Nice to have power when you want. Better gas mileage than I thought I would get. I tinted back windows, makes a lot of difference with heat from sun

I wasn't expecting much in buying this car for my daughter. I drive a Porsche GT2 and just thought I was humoring her. But to my surprise, our Charger R/T in Top Banana and fully optioned is fast, comfortable, and handles extremely well given its weight, tire size and price. The looks evoke memories of the late '60s, and there is nothing subtle about this car. It turns heads and evokes friendly smiles. I have not purchased an American car in years, but if Dodge is building such a fine automobile, I have no doubt that the U.S. auto business will flourish. I will upgrade the wheels and put on wider rubber, but other than that needed upgrade, this is a superb automobile.

This car has help up extremely well, the paint is the only thing I take issue with as there is some light fading only. Interior has help up very well, leather still in great shape. Performance is as strong as it was when new, brakes still strong with the original pads!!! Gas mileage varies with how hard you hit the HEMI, set the cruise at 70 and get 26.5 mpg, set it at 60 and get between 30-31 mpg! The best part is while getting those mpg #'s it will still hit 60 in under 6 seconds, I think the only car I would replace this with would be the Challenger R/T or SRT- 8 or another Charger R/T or SRT-8. They all run as good as they look, plus they can carry 4 or 5 people in comfort and style.

Hello, I am a 47yr old woman who has gone totally overboard with this car. I have never been a car head and I have to say I am now. I love my Charger. It is totally the woman's muscle car. I have the R/T Hemi, added a few of my own things. Added a little bling with some 22in chrome platinum wheels titled "sweetness" of which they are. Every day when I get in my car and turn up the tunes and hit the road. It just starts my day out great. I know this sounds way over the top for a woman my age, but you never know untill you feel the power of a Hemi and with the added Bling its even more beutiful. I love this car.

'06 Charger R/T

I waited 20 years for Dodge to build a car like the new Charger. I have an early production Charger R/T with no options. I love the beast! Lots of power, especially at low RPM, big brakes, and decent handling without killing the ride. And the styling is just great! Excellent fuel economy for a full size car if you keep your foot off the gas (good luck at that). The power steering is typical Mopar - lots of feel, but also lots of boost and no centering power, so you have to keep an eye on the car. She will wander off if you aren't careful. It helps to drive with both hands, which also makes the turn signal and cruise control placement make sense.

Awesome car. Drives great, very comfortable. Great gas mileage due to MDS. Way to go Dodge! I wouldn't change anything. Perhaps just add one more color. A nice light blue that Dodge already has. They have the Dodge Ram trucks in a nice light blue. I think the Charger would look great in that color! Otherwise, it's an awesome car. I highly recommend it. It's worth every penny! I love it!

Whenever someone asks how I like my Charger, the first thing I always tell 'em is that it's fun to drive. The Hemi is cool. The combination of the accelaration, the handling, and the smooth, quick braking makes it easy to pull out into traffic, and then maneuver around it. The exterior look turns heads and gets lots of positive comments. The interior, with the Road & Track package is really comfortable and quiet. Everyone who has ridden in it compliments it. There is plenty of room in the back seat. The trunk is spacious, too. Good sound system. I try to find reasons to drive it ("Honey, I'll go pick up the kids."). No regrets.

Lots of Hype, Little Substance

I got my '06 Charger Daytona with high hopes, and am very disappointed. The car is a joy to drive with its quiet interior, and delicious ride. The nav system and bluetooth give the interior a modern feel. The exhaust note is great when you hit the gas, but quiet when you cruise. That's it for the good news. The car is sluggish at low speeds, due to its 4,000 lb. weight and 2.82:1 gear. The MDS system doesn't work well past 60 mph. Mileage is a dismal 17 hwy, 10 city, & the rated 350 HP from the bogus hemi (it's a "semi- hemi", not a real hemi) is a joke. Not recommended.

I said that I would never own a four door car, I would only drive SUV's, but after only a two mile test drive I was sold on the Charger. It still has a lot of attitude even though it's a sedan. I love everything about this car, although I do think the cruise control looks a little weird. I wouldn't trade it for the world. If you pull out in front of cars like I do, you never have to worry about getting out of the way fast enough. Its 0 to 60 is amazing, and it handles like dream.

Feels Like a $50,000 car

Jim Nash, 10/26/2005

A friend who knows fine cars said that the Hemi-RT feels like a $50,000 car even though my Charger is the $30,000 Charger RT with the fancy red paint as its only option. Every morning turning the key to bring the Hemi V8 to life makes me smile and the power drivers seat and with the lether as well as the multi adjustable wheel and Boston Acustic 6 speaker sound system make this car a very good value at its price point. The Charger feels solid as a bank vault and the attention that this car gets at the store or buying gas makes me feel sort of like a rock star. The 340 HP Hemi will get an honest 24 MPG on the highway if you let it. Bottom line I cant wait for my next drive!

It's hard to believe that only a few short years ago Chrysler did not even offer a V8 in a car, much less a rear drive one. They've more than made up for it. With a wife and two kids, this is a perfect choice for a family man's muscle car. Not only is it the cheapest of the SRT8's, it is also the coolest looking, with it's hood scoop and rear spoiler. The Magnum and 300C SRT8's look too much like the regular Hemi's to me.

This car was horrible. I had to look over the scooped hood just to see the hood. Very uncomfortable even with leather. Awfully cheap feeling and looking interior. Sorry for ever buying it, but thank God for the guarantee. The only thing good was the power. For riding on a Mercedes platform, it was horrible.

So much power! This is the fastest car we've ever had. With the jet chip and functional ram air hood, this thing still gets 21 mpg going to Sacramento. I wish everyone could ride in our car.The road and track package does it all. Seats cradle your body as you take high speed turns you never thought about doing. There is a great deal of traction all the time. My wife loves to take the car to work because those guys in BMWs strain their necks to get a good look at it.

I love it. My husband suggested it and he "talked" me into it (or so he thinks). So much room and great features. The two car seats fit great in the back and my son loves to watch his movies. Performance seats are a must - very comfortable ride. GPS navigation has already come in handy. It is great for a 4 door and it really turnes heads. It is a family car that my husband will drive as opposed to my SUV import and I love to drive daily.

This is my third Dodge, and by no means will it be my last. The people at Dodge hit a grand slam when they brought back the Charger. This car is awesome in every respect. Great design, inside and out. Everything is driver friendly, and most of the equipment is standard. They used to be options, and that is a big plus for Dodge. It is so quiet and smooth. The transmission shifts without any of the usual delay or jerking, and the auto stick is great when in the mountains or if youjust want to shift it manual. Great job Dodge!

I was looking for a full size car that stood out from the norm. I love the roomy interior, large trunk and comfortable seats. But it was the aggressive front end and rear wheel drive that sold me. It rides like it owns the road and the acceleration of the V-6 is very good. The package with the heated front seats and the nicer stereo is a must. I never thought a large car under $30,000 could handle as cleanly as the Charger.

I love my car, but don't like the fact that the only difference noticeable is the HEMI on the side from the basic 3.5. The interior could have more comfortable seating and the option on the RT could be a heck of a lot more than is offered in the selling deal. The dash board in the RT should be Indigo blue, the driving light should have blue like tint. Make the RT more attractive for the beautiful car that it is.

This car is just amazing. I still enjoy staring at the Charger in the driveway from my window. Depending on your options you can get a RT for less than $100 per horsepower! Room for five and 16.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity is perfect for road trips. Mopar even has a snowboard roof mount. It's really the perfect vehicle, power, looks, price, interior capacity. Fuel costs for 100k miles between 17mpg and 27mpg is really just a few grand.

Bought this car new in November 2005 and now have 4000 miles, mostly city and suburban driving. It has been everything I hoped it to be. Lots of power, comfort, and quality surrounding you. Wife loves driving it and some of the electronic features are added pleasures. No problems with it, other than a squeaking brake at times while backing out of the driveway. Fit and finish is excellent, would highly recommend this for a comfortable ride and aggressive modern styling.

I purchased car new 2/06, 1st 15000 miles no problems. Then a transmission leak which was fixed by the dealer. Front rotors warped around 24000 which I had to pay to repair. Around 28000 miles rocker arm shaft dowels sheared in both exhaust shafts- engine rebuild under warranty. Around 32000 miles outer tie rod ends replaced under warranty. Now at 39300 miles I am told that inner tie rod ends are shot & Steering gear needs replacing. Dealership trying to get this covered under warranty but if not $1000 out of my pocket. Never had a car with this many problems so early on. I do not beat on the car and have changed oil every 3000 miles. Must have got a bad one.

It has been 23 years since I have owned a muscle car like this. The 5.7 V8 is the same that I have in my 2006 Ram 2500 except the Charger has the deplacement that helps save on fuel. I am averaging 19 in the city and 23 on the highway. This car gets to 80 quickly. Interior is great and there are a lot of features to keep me busy. I choose the Charger over the 300C becuase the Charger rode better and has a cleaner look.

Charger with 3.5L is a good balance between performance and practicality. Since I do a lot of city driving the HEMI scared me if gas prices go much higher. Have been an import owner for years so this car is a bit different. Love the exterior styling. Definitely could use more "gingerbread" features on the interior. The dash is nice but the interior is loaded with cheapish looking materials, even the "leather" seats appear to be more vinyl. Drives beautifully, nice and quiet and good pick-up. I got the power sunroof as to not feel closed in by its low windshield as I am a taller person.

I had no trade in and was looking for a car to fit a family of 5 which included me (6'2" 260#s) and 3 growing boys along with my wife. It had to excite me but not break me. After researching and test driving this car, I was sold. I have never had more comments about a new car as I have had with this car. It's roomy like an SUV yet drives like a sports car. I wish I could have afforded the Hemi but the V6 is fine. I have noticed if I gun the car from a dead stop i get the rear wheels spinning a bit and in some snow i got a little slide but now that I am used to the car, I know what to do and what not to do. The Sirius radio is a must. The cruise control knob is a pain as is the trip knob.

I've enjoyed this car since the day I purchased it. After 11 months of ownership, I still catch myself looking over my shoulder at it, as I walk away. Fun car to drive. The 3.5 V6 is more than enough power for most driving. Expected a bit better gas milage.. the V8 guys get close to what I get. Now Dodge has snared me with a well designed/good quality car, I may have to look at the new Challenger. Good job Dodge.

This car is awesome! When a buddy of mine saw my new Charger, he said that it was the best vehicle that he has seen in a long, long time. Which meant something to me considering he's always been a high-end European sports car snob. When we took it for a spin, he was actually speechless. Well, he actually uttered one word (that can't be mentioned here) The style, the power, plus the fact that I can still get two car seats and luggage in it, simply amazing. Awesome, awesome machine.

Things are truly different now! I just completed a road trip of 4000 miles. The car averaged between 28-30 mpg. The trunk was loaded with luggage of 4 people who made the trip. Hemi is great. Trip to Lake George, 2000 miles round trip averaged 24MPG not bad for this much power. Fun to drive. Easy to pass pretty much anything. Very comfortable. Pricy at $35,000 but worth it. My employee discount (I'm an electrician at the brake factory) was $500 - for taking the DC loan.

I got my Dodge Charger R/T with the road and track performance package on May 12th. This car puts an ear to ear grin on my face. The ride is fantastic. It handles like a charm. The acceleration is outstanding. I also like the fact that you get a lot of space if you have a family and you get a fun car with 350 hp V8 with multi displacement (a plus for fuel economy especially now with gas prices at $3 a gallon) all in one car that is a pleasure to own and drive.

Well folks I've got to tell you my experience with my car as been very nice. The car power is great. The hemi gets down when I need it to and and floats when I need it to conserve on fuel. So far my wife and I love owning the car. I brought it for me but I can't seem to get my wife from behind the wheel. She loves it so I guess Dad gets to drive it the weekends. So far I have had no issues with maintenance. My wife says she's been getting a looks of looks as she drives the car. It's adorable.

I love the fact I get 25-26 mpg with combined highway and city driving. The Hemi engine has alot of pep for a 4,000 lb vehicle, but am addicted to power so more would be better. Aftermarket upgrades for the engine are plentiful so hp upgrades are relatively easy. Smooth ride, with lots of features and the sound system is flat out great for a stock system.

This is a fun car. It reminds me of the 1968 Charger I drove in my 20's. I love the way it sounds and the way it handles and manuvers. I feel like a kid in the candy store. It is really a comfortable car. I put the spoiler on the back and chrome wheels. I get so many compliments on this car. I got the gun metal gray one. I was hoping it would have come in burgundy. My 68 was that color. I think if you keep creating cars with style instead of some companys making cookie cutter cars you will ahead of the game. I think the muscle car era was great, you could just look at the vehicle and know right away what it was. They had distinction not like many of the cars today.

Its been a long two months getting all the problems worked out but I am now enjoying the car very much. I get lots of compliments and looks. The V6 really has more then enough power unless you really want to burn rubber. The V6 will get up and go with no problem.

This car is a real pleasure to drive and I can merge into traffic with ease from the power. My car is a Mango Daytona R/T (#3913 of 4000). I have averaged 22 MPG in local driving since I have not been on any trips with it yet. I imagine I would get at least 25MPG on a trip. Everywhere I have been with it, I get all positive comments about the looks of the car.
