Remember When
I was a young family man during the orginal charger days & it just wasn't what I could afford and more so it didn't fit my family needs, however if it was a 4 dr. things may have been different. Now I'm 60 & still like my cars thats why I have the Daytona Charger in Go Man Go. It does what the original era did to the kids & young family men of today as well as those that were their douring those great days of the muscle car. What a great car and it has for sure the looks & the power. I suggest to everyone that is shopping for the ultimate car to test drive the Charger before you decide to buy any other car. If you choose the Charger enjoy the ride & muscle as I do every day.
AZ now you see me, now you dont
I love this car !!!! It has enough room for me, I can't belive it .. I am a BIG guy 295lbs..I just traded in my F150 Lariot Supercrew ( which I loved ) for this amazing ride. I love everything about it..My only complaint is that it seems to shift hard from 2nd gear to 3rd...maybe it's normal. I can ttell you. But by far the best for the money !!!!

First Dodge ever
The car looks great. You get a lot of "thumbs up" when you are driving. Talk about a head turner, there must be a lot of people with sore necks watching you drive by. The car rides and drives like or better that a Lexus, with 340hp under the hood. It's great to have a rear seat DVD for the kids, nav system, heated leather seats, Sirius radio, room for the family, and all the performance you could want. It's also great to be able to take the kids to school, fill up the huge trunk at the grocery store, and still be able to blow away some punk kid in a foreign car. I never though I would ever own a Dodge. This car changed my mind.
Best Bang for the Buck
This car is fun to drive. Love getting the neck snaps as I drive past, very good looking on the outside, and a clean looking interior, nothing over the top, clean and simple. As for performance, great! It has plenty of power for its size and averaged 24MPG on a cross country trip. Only downside is the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), it will feel like the car is bogging down, hard to get used to at first, but soon realize that its the computer keeping you from loosing control, it has loads of torgue.
Smile Induction
I LOVE this car! Everyday when I drive to and from work, this car makes me SMILE...I get tons of looks (and several .."that thing gotta Hemi?"). It is comfortable inside and menacing outside. I love the engine and the brakes (hate the brake dust - tho). I had my brother-in-law, who has done paint and body work for 25 years, check the car out before I purchased it...and he said it was the best fit and finish he has seen on a domestic auto...period! Kudos to Dodge for cranking up the Charger's Smiles per hour!
2006 GoMango #2965
Front brake rotors have been replaced 4 times - Had to go w/ after mkt vented/slotted/drilled rotor. Motor mount replaced, some front suspension parts replaced, and car eats tires. Ride, power, performance, and comfort are excellent. Interior plastics are not highest grade. Sound system, Nav, and Bluetooth are trouble free and work great. Paint is holding up beautifully. Overall - a nice car w/some quirks, great engine performance, expensive to maintain, very high fun-to-drive factor.
A real looker
I purchased the Daytona model in orange. It certainly is a beautiful car. Comfort, performance, and styling are all strong assets of the r/t line. Gas mileage has been what is expected by way of vehicle sticker @ 18-19mpg.
Daytona R/T
The car is so comfortable and after only one weekend of driving, it rides very smooth. The sound system is well balanced although the bass is heavy and seems to be for those who like their music to go boom. I was able to get comfortable behind the wheel right away and all the options on the console make it a gadget bug's dream. And as far as performance, its a Hemi.
Red Charger
I use this in my job as a road car and very happy to report that after the first month it is a better ride than the 300M I was driving. The body design is very aggressive with everyone commenting on how good it looks. The Inferno Red is a great color. The seats sit very comfortably even after many hours on the road. I have the leather seats with the heated seats that really helps the lower back. The dash is very clean and functional. The interior is a two tone leather that is very nice looking. The car handles very well in all kinds of traffic. The trunk is large enough to carry luggage and my golf bag. Change the cruise control location and add compass in mirror. Great Car.
Love my Charger
I have really enjoyed having the power of a hemi and still be able to get 24- 28 mpg. Charger R/T is really fun to drive and handles great!
I love my charger!
I actually bought my 06 RT with 25000 miles on it and a minor crash with about 2000 dollars worth of damage to bumper, fender, roof. I got it fixed and then promptly hit an elk, car jumped it nicely. put black 18's on it,the car is metallic black and totally plain and I absolutely love it. Of course the hemi is awesome, I am totally stock, would like new exhaust for more sound but it is great just the way it is! Gas mileage is about 21 on the highway but I can NEVER keep my foot out of it, love to pass everyone uphill!
Great Car!
After owning 3 trucks in a row I was ready for better gas mileage! My wife drives a 2005 Magnum SXT so I knew what to expect with the Charger. Truth is I actually like the Charger a lot more than our Magnum. I am always getting compliments on the car and the ride is great. I am very impressed so far from the whole experience.
Lovin' my muscle car
The Dodge Daytona RT Top Banana, in color is so awesome! I am lovin' the way it handles, the ride is great too. The front seats are so comfy, the way they comform to your body makes for a comfortable ride. I am lovin' the stereo system, I love the way I can control the sound system from the steering wheel with the slight touch of a button.
Fun to drive
Purchased the Charger SXT last week and have had a ball driving it. Favorite Feature: The style of the outside and practicality of the inside.(4 doors and large trunk) Improvement: No sunroof/moonroof. Suggestion: Go buy one!
Great value, lots of fun
Exciting styling and no dissapointment while behind the wheel. Best value out there in its class. Quality at par with any foreign car at a much lower price. There is still hope for the American car industry.
2006 Charger R/T 5.7L
Excellent car. Fuel mileage is so-so (16.6 combined), but we expected that before purchase. Rides great, handles good, accelerates quickly and smoothly. Can't go anywhere without getting comments or questions about the car. Electronics Convenience Package, Premium Stereo and Convenience Package II are excellent options, making the perfect driving position a possibility for ANY sized driver. Only drawback about the car is that the "chopped/low roofline" requires you to "bend forward" at intersections to see traffic lights if you're first at the light.
Excellent!
This car is a perfect 10. While it may not be exactly an economy car. For so much engine the fuel economy is actually pretty darned good. If I can keep her at 55mph, I can actually pull 30 miles to the gallon. And still have the Hemi horsepower in an instant. And it definitely stands out in a crowd. This car gets a lot of looks
Great Car
This is a GREAT car! Great power, handling, braking, comfort, style and quality. I love the sound system and the quiet that the car has to let you enjoy the music. Any car whose doors close with a bank vault solidity is a great car to me.
Charger R/T
I've never owned a Dodge in my life. I think I was missing the boat. It's a tight, quiet, comfortable 4 door Tank. With the 5.7L Hemi the gas mileage is low but the 4/6/8 cylinder shut down system works pretty well. On the highway the mileage quickly is 24mpg with an added plus of using regular gas. Overall, a great car with a happy owner.
Awesome!
I love my Charger SRT-8. It has the attention-grabbing styling and performance I love in a car. The power from the 6.1l Hemi is amazing. It's a roomy sedan with a smooth ride yet it can turn into a mean street machine in an instant. The best car I have ever owned so far!
Go getter in big comfort
This is more car than I need; However I am gald I have it all. Very comfortable with the R/T Road and Track package seats. Once you get the idea and the car learns how you want it to go it goes better then most out there. The gas mileage is OK for the power you get out of it. I had leased it but may want to buy out my lease and keep it for longer than expected. Fun family car
This is so aggrevating
The biggest, most complicated issue was eventually finding out that a "rattle" I was hearing from the engine area was actually a weld seam that came undone between the engine compartment and the firewall of the dash. My vehicle was in the shop for almost a month while the engine was completely taken apart and rebuilt. They welded the seam together and put everything else back. Luckily that started happening before the warranty ran out. Since then, various parts of my engine have made noises; belts, cooling fan, etc. My exhaust manifold has been replaced twice already. Now my car is "chiming" while I drive, and the oil leaks--go figure! I do not suggest this vehicle.
Long live the muscle car.
My previous car was coming off of lease in 3 days and I need to pick a new car. I spent the better part of three months searching, but I kept coming back to the Charger R/T. The aggressive look and of course the Hemi had a strong draw for me. In addition to that, I liked the considerable amount of room in the cabin. Oh, and did I mention the Hemi? There are a lot of quality cars out there, but when it came to leg room (front and back), power, and stunning looks, the Charger just could not be beat.
Luxury Plus Muscle
This car has the smooth ride of a luxury sedan with the responsiveness of a sports car. Go for the R/T if you like to pull away from the pack.
My Dream Car
This car has it all. Looks, performance, and comfort. I purchased it without test driving it. I just loved the look. Oh my God when I got in for the first time I was blown away. This car has the power of a muscle car, and the comfort of the Chrysler 300. Everyone takes notice on the highway. Great job Dodge.
Great American Muscle Car!
I absolutely love this car! The styling is first rate. I have the base SE with the V6, and it has plenty of power with good gas mileage. The handling is excellent for a big car. It corners and rides very smooth. There is plenty of room in front and back. I highly recommend this vehicle.
Dodge Charger RT
I have been waiting 40 years to own a Charger. It was well worth the wait. I think Dodge did an excellent job designing the new Charger to fit the baby boomers. It's the best car I have driven. More than enough power and handling capability. The Charger is a real pleasure to drive. Although it's not the muscle car of the sixties, the Charger has matured nicely.
An Excellent Buy
I love riding this vehicle. I got it fully loaded and the family loves it. This is by far the best Sedan that I've owned. The Hemi definitely gets you where you need to go...and in a hurry if need be.
Fun to drive
This car is the most relieable and fun car to drive. I have done some bolt on modifications done to it (intake, exhaust, programmer) and i beat on this poor car and it takes the abuse fine. On the days when my foot isnt as heavy its a great smooth ride. It doesnt like to turn very fast but its great to see a mustang gt's headlights in my rearview mirror.
All Dodge!
I love this car! I have had 2 Durangos and still own a 92 Dodge truck, but this one is by far the best looking and most fun to drive. It has an amazing ride, is very quiet, has a great sound system, and what a honey to look at!
Good car, but disappointed
Fun car to drive. Interior a little too kit car for me. Cheap plastic, but hey for $30k with the power worth it. My real big problem is that Dodge and parent company have the worst paint going. I have the metallic black and doesn't take much to scratch unlike my wife's new Mustang.
I love my Charger
I haven't had the car a long time but I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. I love my car. The body style and the power and the smooth ride.
X corvette fan
I have owned sports cars all my life and this one is the most fun yet. It's not as refined as a Corvette but it is more fun to drive especially since I can take my whole family along for the ride. This thing actually draws more attention than either the new or the classic Corvettes that I have owned. It obviously doesn't corner as well as a Vette but it sure accelerates like one and I think that Chrysler is being a little conservative with the 13.5 sec et on 1/4 mile times. The engine is obviously capable of more if you can just get the tires to stick to the ground.
An amazing piece of machinery!
I love this car! Top of line. Rides great! Corners effortlessly. Like a dream come true. Engine hums so quietly that I sometimes forget that it's on. If you want a car that looks mean and plays nice, this is the car for you.
Not your old Charger!
Daimler influence on style and interior features is unmistakable. The Hemi, though, is pure American muscle. I hear the marriage with Daimler and Chrysler has been bumpy, but this car is a great example of a successful collaboration. Meets my large car needs while giving me a sporty, fast, and great-looking car. What a concept!
I love this car.
This car makes owning a four door fun. It is comfortable and roomy, but fast and is a blast to drive. It's a real head turner. I have received nothing but compliments from people about it. I have always loved the classic Chargers and when Dodge brought out the new one with four doors I was honestly a bit disapointed. After driving one my disapointment turned into anticipation to pick one up... I bought it that day.
Chargers are fun
The handling is excellent. The V6 SE has plenty of pick up power. Plenty of leg and head room. I'd take one over a Mustang GT anytime.
Buy one
I've had my Charger R/T for a few months now and I love it. I have the performance package, a must, and dressed it up with stripes similar to the Daytona on the back fenders and R/T emblems under the hemi sign on the front fenders, as well as a body coloured spoiler. This car turns heads everywhere in this town which is full of BMW's Mercedes, etc. It goes like heck and is really fun to drive.
The hottest 4 door for the money
I'm 20 and I have had 7 cars before this one and of all the cars I have found the one that i really enjoy to drive. it gets great gas mileage and it has great horsepower. I love to see people when they look and you can tell they are saying, "what kind of car is that". I have never wanted a red car but this red is hot. if you want roominess, sporty looks, and great performance go test drive this car. I'm almost positive you will not be disappointed.
Great car to own
This car is great! I 've only had the car for a month and love it. It's got a tight suspension, great handling, and for a V6, it got plenty of power. The only drawback right now it that there is little extras after you buy it (rims, cold air intake, etc.) There is a couple of defects in the car but none is very noticeable. One is the trunk lid rubs on the bumper and scratches the paint off, and there was a recall on some of the transmissions. Other than that, it's perfect. If you're looking for a plain jane car, get a Honda or Toyota, if you wanna turn heads while riding in style, this is for you
Really a Mercedes...
Wow--what a car! Don't let its macho looks and American-designed interior fool you. This is really a clone of the Mercedes Benz E-series for half the price! It is as refined and polished as it gets... I narrowed down my search to the Dodge Charger and the BMW 530i/550i. The Charger is right up there with the BMW. I'd say the BMW comes out ahead very slightly in the handling/steering and road feel (as always), but it is not $25-30K better than the Charger--maybe for 5k extra only would I choose the 5 series.
Driving like a teenager
I wanted a car that says "I drive this because I want to, not because I have to." My Charger does exactly that. I shopped for 18 months looking for a car that had a WOW factor and I found it in this car. I look forward to stopping for red lights because it gives me a chance to blast off the line. The car gets to 80 really fast and I have to stop myself from pushing too far past. The bottom line is this car is a joy to drive. Oh, and I can still get the family in it when reality calls me back.
Love my hemi!
The car has awesome performance. Great bang for the buck! MPG not the best for the power, but the MDS sure helps. The ride/handling with the stock R/T is a bit "Soft" - with the SRT8 suspension I put on, it's much better! This is not your granny's family sedan. It's fast, stops on a dime and corners awesome. The biggest pet peeve is my left arm falls asleep on long drives due to the hardness of the driver's door armrest.
My choice of Charger
I was wanting to change from driving an SUV to a car. I was looking for better fuel economy but still wanted safety and performance. My husband drives a Dodge Ram 4X4 with the Hemi motor and suggested I try the new Charger. I was suprised at the high mileage rating. After test driving it I knew I wanted it. I have been totally satisfied with my purchase.
Great Job Dodge
I absolutley love my Charger. City wide my gas mileage is easily 22- 24mpg. My husband can only seem to get about 16mpg! After 11 months and 20,000 miles; people still stop me and ask how I like it, how it drives, and if I'd buy another one. Yes I plan too! I've not experienced any problems whatsoever. Great job Dodge!!
Love it
I just bought my Charger and love it. It handles like a dream and power....WOW all you will need. The new 2006 Charger outranks any 6 cylinder import by far. Great overall vehicle and would recommend it to anyone who wants a quilty car for a good price.
Keeps hubby & wife happy!
I love it. My husband suggested it and he "talked" me into it (or so he thinks). So much room and great features. The two car seats fit great in the back and my son loves to watch his movies. Performance seats are a must - very comfortable ride. GPS navigation has already come in handy. It is great for a 4 door and it really turnes heads. It is a family car that my husband will drive as opposed to my SUV import and I love to drive daily.
First New Car
This car is just amazing. I still enjoy staring at the Charger in the driveway from my window. Depending on your options you can get a RT for less than $100 per horsepower! Room for five and 16.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity is perfect for road trips. Mopar even has a snowboard roof mount. It's really the perfect vehicle, power, looks, price, interior capacity. Fuel costs for 100k miles between 17mpg and 27mpg is really just a few grand.
Nice Car
Bought this car new in November 2005 and now have 4000 miles, mostly city and suburban driving. It has been everything I hoped it to be. Lots of power, comfort, and quality surrounding you. Wife loves driving it and some of the electronic features are added pleasures. No problems with it, other than a squeaking brake at times while backing out of the driveway. Fit and finish is excellent, would highly recommend this for a comfortable ride and aggressive modern styling.
Great Ride
It has been 23 years since I have owned a muscle car like this. The 5.7 V8 is the same that I have in my 2006 Ram 2500 except the Charger has the deplacement that helps save on fuel. I am averaging 19 in the city and 23 on the highway. This car gets to 80 quickly. Interior is great and there are a lot of features to keep me busy. I choose the Charger over the 300C becuase the Charger rode better and has a cleaner look.
