I bought the car with 21,000 miles. I didn't start experiencing any problems until my car kept vibrating when I stopped. I had it checked and was told that my tire rods were worn. Then I started hearing a noise coming from the engine (a rocker shaft). After having this and a 90,000 mile service costs me $2087.00. Now my engine light constantly comes on. I was told to open the gas cap and let out some of the air. After reading a lot of the reviews, I noticed that this car should have had some recalls. Of course my extended warranty ended at 70,000.

You need to get one

My six year old son giggled with glee the first time I opened up the Hemi on the way home from the dealership. To say this car is fun to drive is to say a rollercoaster is pretty neat. I was really suprised, almost disappointed, with how quiet the engine was until I gunned it, and any time I step on the gas. The low growl of the Hemi then ellicits the appropriate grin. This is the first car I have bought that I have had fun driving. I'm 6'4" tall and don't have to have the seat all the way back. There is plenty of room for my whole family of 4. I can't wait for my first road trip with my son next week. Don't cheat yourself....Get the Hemi if you buy this car! I can't recommend it enough.

The Charger SRT8 is the most incredible car I have ever driven. The acceleration is awesome. The car attracts a lot of stares and questions. Be prepared for the question: "That got a HEMI in it?" Just be careful about staying near the speed limit - it also attracts the police.

The car of my youth is back!

This is the car I have been waiting for almost 25 years. My 1st car was the original 1966 model (with the 381 engine). Later, I also owned a 1972. Neither car had the famous Hemi engine (most in fact did not). The Charger was always the car with attitude! A car that each owner could personalize to fit their taste. The 2006 model will do the same. Off the showroom floor it is a "head turner", and a great car to drive. The Charger has evolved as did those of us who drove our "muscle cars" in the 70's. Now we can have our family car and relive our youth at the same time. It's great to able to have your cake & eat it too!

I love this car. I've got the Magnesium Pearl, and feel like I'm driving a shark. Cruising right along nice and quiet. BAM! A horsepower feeding frenzy and nothing left but the carcasses of an import trying to ace me at a stop sign. My wife was dead set against getting this car, but now loves it.

Have been looking few a new car for some time and was ready to settle until I drove by the Dodge dealer. Great looks great ride could not be happier and what a head turner, I have received numerous thumbs up as I drive by, it is amazing the reactions that I get. I find myself driving out of my way when I go places. For me, it put the fun back in driving.

Overall this car is great. Great looks, great power and great fun to drive. I have had numerous people approach me at the gas station to look at the car. While some purists may not like the fact that it is a 4-door sedan, I can say that without that feature I would not have been able to justify buying it. This configuration is much more practical and I think it does not detract from the muscle car image of the car. It is nice to have the good looks comfort, and power in a 4-door car.

Got the car almost a year ago. Now it has 55k miles. Paid $13k. Gas mileage is about 300 miles to the tank. Put 20's on it and it looks great. Love the exterior look. Got pinstrip down the doors to the trunk, didn't like it at first but it breaks up lines and it looks great. I knew the interior wasn't anything super. I like the White gauges. Will need to replace the power steering hose soon it is slightly leaking. Oh and tint all 5 Windows

The car looks great. You get a lot of "thumbs up" when you are driving. Talk about a head turner, there must be a lot of people with sore necks watching you drive by. The car rides and drives like or better that a Lexus, with 340hp under the hood. It's great to have a rear seat DVD for the kids, nav system, heated leather seats, Sirius radio, room for the family, and all the performance you could want. It's also great to be able to take the kids to school, fill up the huge trunk at the grocery store, and still be able to blow away some punk kid in a foreign car. I never though I would ever own a Dodge. This car changed my mind.

Thank goodness this one is built better than it's namesake. I've been looking at these a while, and final bought. It drives great, even the V6 has more than enough get-up-and-go for most. Mileage, so far on mixed driving, is just over 25 mpg, which is good. Easy to drive, comfortable to own. This IS a great car.

My husband got this car, and coming from a Mopar family, I was impressed he wanted it. I am all for having a second Hemi in the family (my father has a 69 Hemi Roadrunner), but the interior and exterior of this car is just another boring family sedan. This car seems to impress people who know they should be impressed by a Hemi, but don't really know why they should be impressed by a Hemi. True Hemi fans, will want to stick with the original muscle cars that were built to haul the mail - not a haul a family.

I actually bought my 06 RT with 25000 miles on it and a minor crash with about 2000 dollars worth of damage to bumper, fender, roof. I got it fixed and then promptly hit an elk, car jumped it nicely. put black 18's on it,the car is metallic black and totally plain and I absolutely love it. Of course the hemi is awesome, I am totally stock, would like new exhaust for more sound but it is great just the way it is! Gas mileage is about 21 on the highway but I can NEVER keep my foot out of it, love to pass everyone uphill!

My wife hates the Magnum, "no wagon no matter what it has in it". I've liked since it came out but respected her opinion on wagons. Needless to say the Charger is no wagon. I traded in a Mercedes C240, and we bought it on first sight. The Charger is more fun than any 4door car has a right to be. With the 5.7Hemi it runs in the 1/4mile with my 68'327 4speed Vette. Granted the Vette doesn't have ESP tech, but it is 1,500lbs lighter. I don't believe it has a bad angle exterior wise, and there really is nothing that looks like it on the road. I don't care what muscle car purest think about a 4door Charger. I have my toys. This is a pure driving enthusiast dream come true, only in a practical sense.

I got my Dodge Daytona Charger in the Top Banana Color. I've never owned a Dodge before and was quite surprised by the quality. Heads turn when I drive down the street. The Hemi is awesome. Bucket seats are very nice and hold you in place around turns. The car has lots of room and a firm ride. I've owned a Corvette before but this car puts it to shame.

My Charger RT is equipped with a 5.7 Hemi engine. Not only does it have get up and go, it also gets great mileage. Equipped with something new from Dodge, you can actually feel the transmission switch between 8 and 4 cylinders. My daughter loves the DVD player and I love the fact that she can listen with headphones so I do not have to! We took it on an 800 mile trip and my back never bothered me once. It's also nice to see heads turn as you drive by!

If you're getting the R/T go with the road and track package also. It is worth twice what it costs. The interior is amazing, tires give a much better look and the handling is absolutely amazing for a 4,000 lb car. The trunk is huge, the car is huge. It has more space than you could ever need. The power is great and the mileage is amazing for a 350 HP beast. I'll warn everyone right now. One test drive and you will buy one, no questions asked. It has more ride, performance, and comfort that anyone could ask for at its price. It has such a smooth ride that at 70 MPH it feels like your doing 20 MPH.

Well it is a nice car to drive but has spent a lot of time with issues. for example three times the Bluetooth had to be fixed still not working, tires have to be replaced every year, engine light on continually even after it has been fixed the light shines again within a couple of days, lighting bolt light that tells you to heat the car up when the temp outside is below a certain degree comes on in the middle of the summer when it is 25 celcius outside and if you do not let it warm up the car will not run properly (near got in an accident a few times the engine cuts out- no power) we have had this looked at but it continues to be an issue now the tie rod ends are gone again. We got a bad one.

... because after you hit 60 mph she'll roll to the county line! Thinking about Mopar's lastest Hemi sedan? How about 0-60 in 5.7 seconds? How about 19.5 mpg back and forth to work? How about head-snappin good looks? How about a comfortable ride that's not afraid of the twisties? How about a heated leather seat thats more comfy than a Laz-y-boy? Traction control? Electronic Stablity Control? 4-wheel independent suspension? Polished 18" wheels with 60 series rubber? Music Hall quality sound with Sirius and 6 disc in-dash changer? For under $30,000K? A new 2004 Pacifica for my wife convinced me that DaimlerChrysler is the future of Detroit iron. If your looking for a new ride; go Charger R/T!

This Charger RT has the power to get up and go when you feel the need, but will also give you the gas mileage when you feel the need. I test drove the 06 Mustang GT and found the performance, styling and curb appeal of the Charger was head and shoulders above the Mustang. I have not been able to fuel up without someone approaching me to comment the beautiful looks of the car.

Even though my Charger has the 3.5 liter, it still kicks major butt. I bet it can mop up a lot of cars that have V-8's. I fell in love with this car when I first saw it with my eyes. The new Charger is an eye pleaser and looks very intimidating.I have gotten many compliments on its looks. My neighbor keeps giving me the thumbs up everytime he sees me driving it. The Charger is the best driving vehicle I have ever driven. I try to find excuses to go out somewhere just so I can drive it. I have never been that way with any other car. Everything rocks with this car, even the stereo. The 2006 Dodge Charger is an awesome car. I can't get enough of it.

I'm a short person so i thought it would be too much car for me but it's so much fun. It really has some power even though it's just a v6. Lots of room on the inside and a big trunk. The only thing for some reason the side mirror seems too big. When I'm turning it kind of blocks my view.

After two and a half weeks of driving pleasure, I have to say that this is the most fun car I have owned in my life. If you have kids (I have 3 under the age of 8) and need a family sedan, but don't want to hate driving it...this is your vehicle. Most people either love or hate the styling of this vehicle, but it is a huge winner to me, as you cannot mistake it for other vehicles on the road. The interior is a bit bland, but that fits with the "muscle car" feel that they were going for. Car handles and breaks like a 3,000 lb car, not a 4000 lb one, and exceleration is wonderful.

Well, it's this simple..if you test drive, YOU BUY.....I knew I was buying the vehicle the moment I test drove it.....The HEMI v8 RT definitely got some power to it. It's only a matter of time before I get a ticket because this car gets up and before you know it, you're doing 55 in a 35 zone. The Mustang is a cool car but it doesn't have the room inside the Charger has. When I got inside the car, I had no ideal it had that much room both for the driver and the passenger It's very comfortable. It also turns corners well and on a dime. When I buy a car, I want the best for my money. So I look for exterior as well as interior. The RT has BOTH!!

A good driving car. For the most part the car does a good job of hiding its ponderous weight. I would recommend getting the R&T Performance group and definitely Sirius satellite radio. Exhaust note sounds better the more you drive the car, but if you're used to TownCar like quietness, you're going to be upset. In general I'm a pretty low key guy, and I've had trouble dealing with the volume of comments, looks, etc. that have come with driving this car. The Road and Track performance group will give you the best seats that you've ever had in a car (unless you've had the Recaros in the Evo).

I purchased this car over the phone sight unseen and am absolutely thrilled with its looks, performance, handling, and comfort. It is a limited production car that will not be a daily driver or driven in wet weather. I am keeping the car in brand new condition so that it can be enjoyed for years to come. Hopefully it will be a collectable just like the original Hemi! At only 1050 miles the only issues I have are way excessive amounts of brake dust, and a transmission that has a pump and/or torque converter whine.

Ride, power, performance, and comfort are excellent. Interior plastics are not highest grade. Sound system, Nav, and Bluetooth are trouble free and work great. Paint is holding up beautifully. Overall - a nice car w/some quirks, great engine performance, expensive to maintain, very high fun-to-drive factor.

Excellent car. Fuel mileage is so-so (16.6 combined), but we expected that before purchase. Rides great, handles good, accelerates quickly and smoothly. Can't go anywhere without getting comments or questions about the car. Electronics Convenience Package, Premium Stereo and Convenience Package II are excellent options, making the perfect driving position a possibility for ANY sized driver. Only drawback about the car is that the "chopped/low roofline" requires you to "bend forward" at intersections to see traffic lights if you're first at the light.

The sound system is well balanced although the bass is heavy and seems to be for those who like their music to go boom. I was able to get comfortable behind the wheel right away and all the options on the console make it a gadget bug's dream. And as far as performance, its a Hemi.

I use this in my job as a road car and very happy to report that after the first month it is a better ride than the 300M I was driving. The body design is very aggressive with everyone commenting on how good it looks. The Inferno Red is a great color. The seats sit very comfortably even after many hours on the road. I have the leather seats with the heated seats that really helps the lower back. The dash is very clean and functional. The interior is a two tone leather that is very nice looking. The car handles very well in all kinds of traffic. The trunk is large enough to carry luggage and my golf bag. Change the cruise control location and add compass in mirror. Great Car.

Dodge did a great job with the re- design. I'm a muscle car fan myself but this gives us a tatse of both worlds. My two boys love it and no longer want to ride in the '04 Durango (with a Hemi). They say it's not as cool as the Charger. Fun to drive! Looks fast just sitting in my driveway! Throttle response is great. Very comfortable leather seats. Plenty of leg room in the back.

I love this car! It's very quiet, and the Hemi is amazing. I urge everyone to buy one while they are here. The transmission is seamless and the suspension is just right, at least with the R/T version. Styling is different that the plain stuff coming from the other companies. Wait until they come out with a Cuda.

I've never owned a Dodge in my life. I think I was missing the boat. It's a tight, quiet, comfortable 4 door Tank. With the 5.7L Hemi the gas mileage is low but the 4/6/8 cylinder shut down system works pretty well. On the highway the mileage quickly is 24mpg with an added plus of using regular gas. Overall, a great car with a happy owner.

My previous car was coming off of lease in 3 days and I need to pick a new car. I spent the better part of three months searching, but I kept coming back to the Charger R/T. The aggressive look and of course the Hemi had a strong draw for me. In addition to that, I liked the considerable amount of room in the cabin. Oh, and did I mention the Hemi? There are a lot of quality cars out there, but when it came to leg room (front and back), power, and stunning looks, the Charger just could not be beat.

This is more car than I need; However I am gald I have it all. Very comfortable with the R/T Road and Track package seats. Once you get the idea and the car learns how you want it to go it goes better then most out there. The gas mileage is OK for the power you get out of it. I had leased it but may want to buy out my lease and keep it for longer than expected. Fun family car

I absolutely love this car! The styling is first rate. I have the base SE with the V6, and it has plenty of power with good gas mileage. The handling is excellent for a big car. It corners and rides very smooth. There is plenty of room in front and back. I highly recommend this vehicle.

The biggest, most complicated issue was eventually finding out that a "rattle" I was hearing from the engine area was actually a weld seam that came undone between the engine compartment and the firewall of the dash. My vehicle was in the shop for almost a month while the engine was completely taken apart and rebuilt. They welded the seam together and put everything else back. Luckily that started happening before the warranty ran out. Since then, various parts of my engine have made noises; belts, cooling fan, etc. My exhaust manifold has been replaced twice already. Now my car is "chiming" while I drive, and the oil leaks--go figure! I do not suggest this vehicle.

I love this car! I have had 2 Durangos and still own a 92 Dodge truck, but this one is by far the best looking and most fun to drive. It has an amazing ride, is very quiet, has a great sound system, and what a honey to look at!
