Our Pacifica for the first 4,000 miles
Have a 2000 300M that we like and were looking to get a newer one, but decided this would work out well for travelling. So far it has done so. Very comfortable to travel in. Would have liked better mileage, but it beats the sticker when on a trip, so can't complain too much about that. Only have 4,000 miles so far, may get better as it breaks in.
Wifes new ride
I work with the high line automobiles, really liked the quality and styling of this new vehicle, Im impressed, more horespower would be nice but is adequate.

great wagon
drives like a car, firm and quiet ride. great body panel fit. big tires and wide track makes the car very stable. With the side curtin airbags it makes you feel safer with grandkids in the back. And it looks great!!
Bought it Used and Love It
I love to drive this wagon/suv. I bought it used it had 37,000 miles. I did have three experiences with the car stalling in about a weeks time(two after it sat outside in the cold and one on the highway), but it hasn't done it since. I also chalked it up to letting the gas mileage get below 30 miles in the tank before I filled it up.
Transmission Night Mare
At 35000 miles transmission began mis-shifting, jerking, 11 weeks 5 visits at dealer between 35 and 67000 miles Told transmission OK rebuilt AWD. Told I believe they thought I had unrealistic expectations. Mis-shifting when down shifting 60 to 80 mph. At 67,000 miles on the highway transmission failed completely. Dealer told me transmission not repairable. Fortunately had extended warranty. Now low gear shifting OK; still mis-shifts at high speeds. A bad quirky transmission.
Chrysler Pacifica
Have owned many cars and SUV's...so far it's a great vehicle. Only have 6,000 mi. including a 2,000 mi trip.Car has too many good features to list them all, (for the money)..........
Pacifica 2004
I found the vehicle quite responsive and causing a great deal of questions and attention. The mignight blue color shows every piece of dirt or smear. Do not recommend. The interior leather is a beautiful piece of design and work. Small thing, but I love the analog clock. In former cars, I had great difficulty reading the digital types. I have only driven 1100 miles so take my critique with a grain of salt,
A Pleasure to Drive
I usually keep a car no more than 18 months. I have kept this care for 5 years and have 120k miles. Transmission rebuilt at 110k is all. I have only two negative things to say. 1) there is a bad blind spot on right rear window exceedingly dangerous. You really need to watch it. 2) Chryslers just don't seem to keep their value and because of that, no more Chryslers. The Car is great and I would buy another if they were to keep making them and I could get the price down to pay for the depreciation problem.
Outstanding vehicle
Granted,we have only had our Pacifica for 37 days, but we've had it long enough to say that it is the finest driving, finest riding vehicle we have ever been in-bar none. It is everything we wanted, and more. One interesting side note-it really seems to cause a lot of staring. If we pull up next to another vehicle at a street corner, more often than not, we notice people checking out the car.
Nice Luxury SUV at a decent price
I've had the Pacifica AWD for about a 1 1/2 yrs (bought it used at a decent price) and the only complaint is the gas mileage but I knew that buying it. My needs changed so I travel more now so want something similar with better MPG but can't haven't found anything I like better yet but an '07 (4.0L engine) Pacifica. I have a loaded one and don't want to give up all the features.
Awesome
I went from a mini van to the Pacifica. It has more room than my mini van. I have 2 sons that are both teenagers and need lots of room. They love sitting in the bucket seats and have more than enough leg room. They do not feel cramped at all. I love the convience of the rear latch opener. It handles well on the road and the options included are superior!
Good solid family car
I like this car. It has done everything we needed it to do. My wife and I have three young kids and the car fits them and their car seats fine (one seat had to be taken out, though). It is much safer than any minivan out there. The handling/braking of the Pacifica is very good and definitely could factor into avoiding an accident.
great but can be better
A very good vehicle in need of a few improvements to make it a leader. Great room, fit & finish, all bells and buttons are great, good sound, auto adjust seats good, load level; tire pressure, push button rear hatch good.
Love My New Pacifica
Anyone considering buying this car will love it! We purchased the new 2004 Pacifica with the additional R1 package. We didn't get the DVD player or the navigational system. Riding in this car is so comfortable. I drove my friends Jaguar the other day and I found the inside of the Pacific to be just as nice.
Love it!
We testdrove the Pacifica on the way to buy an Acura MDX at the dealership next door. We were "wowed." We still went on to buy the MDX though because we just couldn't adjust to buying a Chrysler product. After opening and closing the MDX liftgate by hand a couple of times, we decided to put our purchase on hold while we did further research on Chrysler's recent products. We ended up with the Pacific with all the toys and after 2 months we couldn't be happier. We LOVE this car.
A Solid and Fun Drive ... We love it !!!
Although we have only driven our "tourer" for about 1000 miles, we have thus far pretty much loved every inch of it. Although we would still pick the MDX/ML350/RX/XC90 for quality, we fell in love with the stylish & slick design of the Pacifica. The other makes just looked like any other SUV's out there for our taste. Our only misgivings are not enough horse-power when needed, poor radio reception and too much problems with the the climate controls that we have read and experienced.
Gute Auto
Very stylish, well engineered.
From mountains to the beach
We drove from Pinehurst to Mt Mitchell which is the highest mountain east of the Mississippi. The Pacifica handled beautifully on the mountain roads and the expressways to and from. We then drove to the beach with plenty of room for baggage and supplies. Many people have turned an eye and complimented the appearance.
Happy Times
Had to work hard to get price down but worth it. Great and worth it!
Pacified
This is a great car! Chrysler marketing is not handling this well at all. I think by next year this car will be accepted/perceived as one truly great crossover SUV
great vehicle
Wonderful vehicle, but the engine needs more power. Don't get me wrong, the Pacifica has enough power for most driving needs, but it seems like it could use a few more horsepower.
I LOVE MY PACIFICA! IT'S THE BEST SUV
Before purchasing my PACIFICA, I test drove and did extensive research on myriad SUVS. The PACIFICA had the highest crash test and customer ratings. I chose the PACIFICA for its performance and style and smooth ride. I've had my fully loaded Pearl Jade PACIFICA for two months. I live in a city where there are horrible streets. The SUV drives smooth like a luxury car; I can hardly feel the bumps (craters) in the streets. The SUV has everything that I want and is beautifully designed. I am very happy with my SUV. I sit in the vehicle a little longer in the garage and drive a little more, just to be in my PACIFICA.
Great Car
Traded a 2001 300M that we loved. Needed seats for six. This is better in all areas. Comfort, handling, mileage (surprize), and fun. Kids love the DVD player and wireless headphones.
I Will Never Buy Chrysler Again!
I used to love my pacifica until this last Nov. 08. The motor mounts were cracked and Chrysler was unable to provide new parts(which I would gladly pay for) to fix my car. I searched everywhere and was unable to find the parts. My Pacifica sat in my driveway for 5 months undriveable! Chrysler denied my repeated request for a rental car replacement. I called Chrysler customer service every week for updates as to when the part would be available. First I was told the part would be available in March of 09, then Feb., then March again, then April. I finally found a mechanic who got the part for me in mexico. I was told there are 2000 other Pacifica owners going through the same ordeal.
New Pacifica in a class by itself.
I was in the "Family Sedan" market, and checked out a Pacifica on a whim, thinking it was out of my range in size and price. In the back of my mind, though, I've felt the third row of seats in a vehicle is really practical--especially with a family (4 of us on my case) but I defintely didn't want to go the mini-van route. I was pleasantly surprised by the lease price of a Pacifica AWD, and now it's in my garage. I love the styling, and you can tell there's some Daimler in this Chrysler, too! I just need to get used to a larger vehicle than my last sedan (a Passat), but Chrysler defintely stole me away from VW, Honda, Nissan, and others.
12 Months Later
We have enjoyed the convenience of our Pacifica. Great 21+ mpg on trips and 17 in the city. Love being able to carry large purchases home and save delivery charges. Many compliments on appearance. The a/c cools fast - a much needed feature in the desert southwest. This one is a "keeper."
My Pacifica
What a great SUV to own. Rides like a luxury car, very roomy. Back seats very comfortable
Black Beauty
We bought one of the first Pacificas in April of 2003, we now have 15,000 miles on it and love it, a super smooth ride yet very stable in cornering, not a single problem so far, great sound system etc. People continue to stop us and tell us how beautiful the car is. Storage is very versatile.
Pacifica in Denver area
Very nice ride, it fits a family of 6'4"+ people comfortably and has a lot of nice bells and whistles (like the low tire pressure "idiot message") Gets reasonable gas mileage for the type of vehicle too.
wonderful choice
Great choice I made. Very afraid to purchse another "SUV" after a bumpy ride experience with my last luxury SUV. This car has surpassed all expectations. Sold our Mercedes E-320 after driving our new Pacifica for a few days. Actually rides better than the Mercedes and has so many more creature comforts and room. Love it. Wish I had more places to drive it!
Stylish and Functional
After driving minivans for 18 years I was ready for "something different". This car gave me the style and luxury I was craving along with a flexable seating that I still need for my teenagers. HoweverGas milage has been dissapointing. Backing up my dark driveway at night requires a leap of faith due to the tinted glass. Noise when rear windows are open when going over 30 mph is painfully annoying. I have not found the power of the vehicle to be a problem.
The best vehicle
An all round fantastic ridng vehicle for the family. I recommend this vehicle when ever someone ask me for my honest opinion.
Pacificuh-huh!
Love it, it has great overall looks interior and exterior and the braking is perfect, stops on a dime.
2004 Pacifica Personal Experience Review
The 2004 Chrysler Pacifica handles well on the road and off-road. The comfort of the vehicle is phenominal except for the last row seating leg room, and it's interior amenities are quite impressive.
A sweet dream
I love it. I feel very secure driving it.
Don't Buy One!!
I bought my Pacifica AWD used in 2006 with 42,000 miles. Since then I have had to replace the inner and outer tie- rod ends, struts, axels, lower control arm, sway arm bushings on both front driver and passenger side. There still is a creaking noise in the front when you hit a bump. Mechanic has no clue what it is. Then I had a problem with the engine revving up when at stop sign the shutting off. Had to replace the erg valve control sensor.
Best all-around vehicle I've ever owned!
My car is one of the first PACs made (I think manufacture date is 10/03) -- it is the 3.5L 4-spd. w/ AWD. One complaint is I average only 16 MPG (mostly city driving). But when taking all things into consideration, it is the best car I have ever owned -- from reliability, design, comfort, and usability standpoint. I have all the options, and feel that the telematics (DVD, NAV, Satellite radio, Bluetooth) are better integrated than on my wife's new Lexus IS250. Too bad the car was discontinued so soon!
So Far So Good!
So far it has been a joy to drive and I noticed two minor cosmetic defects in the workmanship that teh dealer will resolve.
I love my pacifica
We were looking for a suv that could hold more people if needed w/o the large size but NO MINIVAN. I almost bought another make and then the pacifica came out. I test drove it and fell in love. I love the way it drives and how it looks. Not a week goes by that someone asks me how do I like it. I went from a suv to this and can't tell any difference in height. It was worth the time it took me to save the money. Can't wait for snow.
Chrysler Pacifica
I love this car!!! Everyone wants to know what is it -- is it a car, is it a truck??? I had so much fun driving it this summer everyone thought it was so cool. I have the Inferno Red and I absolutely love it - I traded in a 2002 300 M for this car and have not regretted it once. Although we could use a little more horse power - I love to drive - thanks Chrysler it is the coolest car out there. My stero could be louder too.
Worth a Look
This vehicle is worth a look at...Dare to Compare. I think the Pacifica will win hands down for the price. Best of all worlds. A great combination of SUV, Wagon, and Minivan. Well laid out..with features to die for. Would like to see rear sensors, 5 speed auto. with 30 more hp., 1"+ ground clearance.
Ma Mopar does it right
Drives like a dream, perfer it over the AWD model
Good and Bad
This is a nicely built car. It is comfortable and delivers a fine ride -- BUT--the gas mileage in local driving is TERRIBLE!!! __Avg --9.5-10.5 mpg!!! and the worst part is that Chrysler says that everything is O.K.--Ha-Ha.
Total Satisfaction
This is the best car I have ever owned! I required a larger vehicle for my newborn twins, their double stroller and a host of other things I need to haul around. I feel much too hip for a mini van and a little more sophisticated than a large truck. The Pacifica is a perfect fit. I never hesitate to tell people about my joy when they stop me on the street to ask questions.
A Real Famliy Tourer
Extremely comfortable ride for my family of four who does all our traveling by car. Higher stance than a traditional wagon yet you never get the feeling you're driving a truck or van. Easily accessible third row seat gives each of our kids the chance to 'bring a friend' along to movies or outings, and makes arranging carpools much easier. For a mom who spends a lot of time taxiing her kids around, I'm thrilled to have a comfortable and stylish vehicle to do it in!
LOVE MY PACIFICA
I HAVE LEASED TWO JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES IN THE LAST SIX YEARS. THE PACIFICA THAT I NOW DRIVE RIDES AND HANDLES LIKE A SEDAN. THE OVERALL STORAGE IS GREAT. I REALLY ENJOY THE COMFORT.
Perfct Crossover to SUV, Van, Wagon
This vehicle is a very comfortable feeling car. It feels very solid, safe and luxorious. So far, the horsepower and gas mileage have'nt been a problem. It's comparing equally to my other vehicle, which is a mini van.It drives exceptional on the highway and during our first snow storm, handled treacherous roads great.
a lot for the money
The Car is a modern station wagon. The power isn't great, but it will do for a mother of 2 and 2 dogs. You have to be carefull of blind spots. About the same as any other SUV. Its unique, but will it last? It has to Mercedes bet a lot on it. Shares a lot of interior style with Mercedes. You get a lot of car for 35g. Much more than GM. The DVD is great. I give it high marks for toys...Average for power, good for ride. Don't pay more than invoice. They gave me 500 under plus 3000 cash back. They aren't flying out.
This car is a real blast!
We weren't planning on getting a new car this year, but a rear-ending accident, totalling my Chrysler Town and Country suddenly put us in the market. We were pretty much ready to by either a new mini-van (not my first choice) or a large SUV when my wife saw a commercial for the Pacifica. We decided to take a look over the weekend and halfway through the test drive, we were both sold. The Pacifica is so unique in many ways both my wife and I love it. And we get plenty of attention from the curious where ever we go.
Great Chrysler
Good alternative for a minivan, and not the mommy mobile.
