Did I get a loser?
1 week after buying this vehicle it started with rough idle and chattering wheels upon accelerating from a stop sign. 4 weeks I discovered the gas tank leaked and rear wheel well leaked. The leaks have been fixed but the Technicians (not mechanics) cannot find a problem with the other malfunctions. Well, if they took it for a ride, instead of plugging it into a computer, they could feel the problem.
last guy got a lemon
we have several fords and chevy cargos and by far the chevy are better. No problems ever with the chevs and many with the ford. Chev gets better milage is more comfortable and quiet and just in every way a better van. Have had no experience with the dodges however but just as a general rule stay away from chrysler products. the guy that posted last just got a lemon...better luck next time...no auto maker can produce a 100% perfection rate off an assembly line...Trade it in on a new chev. Reliable Work Horse
5.0L V-8 (Edmunds didn't show this as an option). It has nearly 240K miles on it. I've averaged 18 mpgs on the highway. It's been EXTREMELY reliable. It's beginning to show its age, but it IS almost 20 years old. At 125K miles when I bought it, it had a hard time staying in the top gear. I changed the transmission fluid, and the problem went away. I've replaced the fluid regularly (about every 40K miles) and have had no more issues. The engine is not particularly powerful, but it gets the job done. As far as full size vans go, I couldn't have wished for better.

It was what I wanted/needed.
I might have found a better deal if I wanted to drive over 10 miles, but it suited my needs.
Great car - chevy 2500 -60000 miles
I bought this car in April 2004 to do delivery. Now it's almost october and I have 58000 miles on it.It runs great and I'm realy satisfied with it.I started to put synthetic oil and it seems that my gas mileage went up from 13-15 to 15-17 which is great even though I changed the oil about every 11000 miles as the oil light said.I'm trying to get even better mileage by buying tornadofuelsaver, but the consumer report says that it doesn't work.I didn't have any problems with it but I was thinking to exchange it with a Sprinter(diesel) to save more money. The reviews are not as good as the Express has so I'm still thinking about it.
Chevy makes a good work van
Having owned Dodge vans in the past for my contracting business, I was foiled by the 47 inch doorway clearance which did not allow a full sheet of plywood unless angled. Chevy provides access and ease of use. My van has exterior doors on the upper panels that allow access to even the most difficult corners of the custom built shelves. The dealer inadequately tried to explain it's new traction system. I don't know what it does, but have never been stuck in the snow with it. It looks a little strange with angled cut corners and a chicken wire grill. The walls are a bit thin and I know will not stand up to a load shift. Overall, a good truck.

This is a good reliable vehicle for making office supply deliveries and works well for small furniture also.
