Incredibly comfortable handles like a sports car
Many dealership incentives so do your homework. We ended up purchasing the Equinox Premier package, the leather option is nice and the vehicle is extremely comfortable, handles like a sports car, but rides like a dream. The Turbo charged engine is extremely responsive and has plenty of power for passing. There are too many great options that are included in the package to mention. Love the lane assist.

Practical and Safe
The 2020 Equinox is my first "modern" car purchase. Before that I have been driving used or older model cars without a lot of trimmings that are standard today. That being said, all of the driver assist and safety functions are great, surrounded by a quiet cabin, comfortable interior, and decent quality surroundings I do not regret my purchase of this car. The seat was at first a little tight for me; the wings on the back do jet out in a way I was unused to. However the ability to change the seat in so many directions is great. You can adjust lumbar support, angle of the bucket, height in the rise of the chair, the back tilt, forward movement, and head rest. Once I got my seat where I wanted it feels as though it is supporting me rather than a seat I am on. The dashboard is large, and formats to the console and display very nicely. My interior is two tone grey and provides a very elegant look blended with chrome linings on the vents and dials. The seats are high quality fabric - although they do hold on to pet hair and dirt. The interior lights automatically turn on depending on the ambient light, and the dials and triggers on the steering wheel are well placed so I do not have to look away from the road to change the infotainment system. The rear seats are low and provide plenty of headroom even for my dad who is 6'8". With the rear seats down it opens into a nice flat area for my dogs for trips. And the spare tire and storage space below the back is a nice touch. The infotainment system is easy to use and incredibly intuitive. It comes with android auto, and apply play. Blue tooth has not had any problem so far (30 hours of drive time), and the clarity in the speakers was surprising. overall the interior feel is very comfortable and set up nicely. I have the wifi package installed and with mobile data no longer an issue for me I can stream anything I want without worry. The drive is smooth and while I do have the 1.5 liter engine, I have had most of the power I need. Hill start assist is great so I don't roll backwards when I lift off the brake, the auto start/stop function in the vehicle is great and has not been an issue. The HUD alert (flashing light) has already saved me from one accident and while it can go off for reasons that are unnecessary I still appreciate the assist. The lane assist adds just enough correction you stay aware of the road. Testing it with your hands off the steering wheel is not advised because it does correct, over correct and correct again leading to "bouncing" down the road. This is not a problem because it is not made for hands free driving, just assisting you on turns and roads. All can be turned off with literally three or four pushes of a button. The Automatic highbeam function is my favorite, and the lights always turn down between 150 and 200 feet away from oncoming traffic, again that can be turned off easily. The best thing about this vehicle is the 28 mpg city I get! the efficiency of this car is saving me money. While this car may not be the sleekest looking option out there, the style still adds a look to keep it from being bland or boring. This is also slightly more expensive compared to others small SUVs, but it gets the job done where it counts and I look forward to having it for the future. My only drawback for this vehicle are the standard warranties that come with it. 3 year or 35,000 is too short and the extended warrantees are expensive causing this car to increase its value in a way I perceive as sneaky and purposeful. Overall, this is a vehicle that feels great, drives nice, parks perfectly, and is completely risk-averse of other Small SUVs on the market. The initial price may be a bit high for the product, and the financial underpinnings are annoying, but being new to the Chevy family I can see myself staying with chevy for a while based on this car. -I was in the market for the Toyota Rav4, VW Atlas, Hyundai Tuscan, Subaru Forester, and Jeep Grand Cherokee. The equinox was able to be happy with my purchase in comparison to all.

Equinox Fan
This is my second Equinox purchase. My first one was a 2011 and it now has about 120K miles on it, but still runs great however, I was just ready for an upgrade. I'm a realtor, so since I spend a lot of time in my car and on the road, I want whatever I drive to be comfortable and economical. So far the new Equinox has been both. I love all the new upgrades and the 1.5 liter engine has a ton of pick up. I bought the AWD model and so far have been pleased with every aspect of this car. The only thing I found a little difficult was the new infotainment system, however once you get used to it, it's pretty nifty. Overall, I really love this car, in fact my friend saw mine and went out and bought her daughter the exact same one.

Great value
My daughter bought a 2020 Equinox as her first new car. I think the car looks great. It has great all around visibility from inside. I find the seats to be very comfortable and the back seats have incredible leg room. The trunk is spacious. The version she has, an LS, doesn't have the most powerful engine in the world, but she isn't drag racing. She is mostly going to and from work. We did a couple little upgrades herself which increased the look and pleasure of the car. One was a leather steering wheel cover from Amazon for about $17 which you easily stitch around your steering wheel and gives the feel of a luxury automobile. The other upgrade was an adhesive wood trim kit she purchased for about $300. It took us about a half hour to install. With these two upgrades the car looks like a million bucks. CONS: The speaker system is awful. The stereo has to be cranked up almost all the way to make the front speakers sound good. I wasn't even sure the car had back speakers until we put the fader to the rear. This is the next upgrade on the car as we purchased new speakers from Crutchfield. It looks like it is going to be pretty easy to replace. Hopefully it will make everything sound good. The actual head unit is good, especially with the Apple CarPlay and the Android Auto interface. Bottom line, it is a very good car as-is. With a few relatively inexpensive upgrades, it can be made pretty great. For what its worth, she financed it through Logix Credit Union and was able to get a great rate and a reasonably priced extended warranty through them.

First Chevy
We bought a used 2020 Chevy Equinox premier..It is very quiet compared to our Ford Edge. It has a great ride..smooth traveling down the highway..Handles really nicely. I love the GREAT visibility with the all around views of the large windows. I even use the back up camera because it is very big and easy to see. I love this vehicle.. I am an older senior woman and the size is great for handling in traffic, parking, and just my very first truly ever Chevy. I was raised by my dad as a “Ford” fan..Hmm.. Was dad wrong on this? Too funny. My husband is a 6 ft tall bigger man..He sits in the seat nicely..the back seats have really nice room for your legs.. Not sucking your knees or hitting the front seats.. Plenty of room in the back for our groceries and 2 dogs for traveling. I am so very glad we bought this 2020 Chevy Equinox Premier..My husband uses the heated seats. I do not.. He said they don’t get as warm as his last vehicle seats..but warm enough..I think I would recommend this vehicle to anyone..I am waiting to see if it uses oil like a lot of reviews say..and there is a recall on it that will start repairs in December of 2020..I won’t hold that against this vehicle.. It just has so many pluses that I am truly in LOVE with it.. We also have a must besides my husbands heated seats.. AWD which this has..You have the option to use it or turn it off.. We live in the mountains and do a lot of country highway travel..This feature of on or off is a great plus.. I have used it a lot already and feel so much safer with the AWD on in our weather out here in the Cascades..Once again.. All I can say is.. I LOVE this Chevy Equinox Premier that is loaded like a baked potato! Mouth watering good! Looks good...Feels good..Drives good! Well worth the money..I am enjoying my first ever Chevy and I am almost 70!!

This my First Chevrolet!
After being a Honda buyer for a very long time I decided to go into a Chevrolet dealership near my home. I was instantly grabbed by the Equinox's interior and the all the space inside. As I began to look closer at it's features I started getting reeled in by the car. Some of the features that instant hooked me were CarPlay, Heated seats, collision warning, blind spot alert in the mirrors (plus audio), lane assistance, and all the detailed maintenance info available in dash plus in the phone app. The ride is solid and smooth. Like I said plenty of leg room all around. It's a fun car to drive and take trips around my state. Maybe even around the country.

Reliability deciding factor
The 2020 purchase was our 2nd time buying an Equinox, previously we owned a 2015 LS but due to an accident we found ourselves in the market once again. We were satisfied with the 1st Equinox and that started our as our first choice but we did look at similar models, the CR-V, Forester, Jeep Grand Cherokee and a couple of others. The Jeep was out of price range. All the other cars offered something different but we felt that basically they were the same. The big difference for us was the reliability of all the reviews we read the Equinox got a 5 out of 5 on reliability and for my wife and I this was the deciding factor.
400 Mile Eqinox LT Report
I give this SUV a 4.5 rating. I traded in my 2019 Toyota Avalon for it. It is very peppy and cruises at 80-85 MPH at no problem with 30 MPG. Nice handling. My chief complaint is the Average MPG display and Average miles per hour display are funky. I took it to the dealer and they said there is nothing to do about it. I rather believe that it is a computer problem that they won't fix. The radio information piece is crude and hard to display favorite radio stations. Also, they should of installed a HD2 radio not an old technology piece. I drive the Midnight Edition, black on black and it looks great even sinister. Overall, I am very satisfied with it.

LOVE this awd Equinox
This has been a GREAT car for us! The mpg is stellar, the quality is on par with anything out there in its respective price range. We have the two tone leather interior which is much better than all black. It’s not 200 grand obviously but has a Bentley looking black and tan. It gets a lot of complements. I find the seats quite comfortable. We have had many kinds of cars. Honda, mini, ford, toyota and chevy. No problems with this one and possibly my favorite new car yet.

A real game changer!!
I was not crazy about getting in to this 2020 equinox judging from my past experience with equinox from other years. But Boy O boy the difference is like night and day. Once I got in and drove it,not to mention how comfortably captivating the seats are,I was absolutely sold and bought it. If I advocate a product, its because I honestly believe in it 100 percent!!

Great car at a great price
This is the premier AWD. It gives me a great ride and great comfort features. I have had a few problems with it, but no more than I would expect from a car that now has nearly 60,000 miles on it. I am so happy I bought this car.

So far very satisfied
In several major reviews the standard 1.5 turbo engine gets less than satisfying reviews. I tend to disagree. I find the 1.5 turbo motor plenty responsive and satisfying. Easy entry/exit for me with some movement disabilities. Very comfortable seats and ride which welcome cross country travel. Quiet cabin. Easy to use infotainment system. Great safety features. And of course one of the most striking beautiful designs in the segment. AWD is a welcome feature in adverse driving conditions.

Very Basic
I went from a 2011 GMC Terrain to a 2020 Equinox. Basically the same vehicle but different. The pluses : Safety features and maneuverability. Minuses: Dash gauges and warning lights are small and difficult to see behind the steering wheel. Stiff rear seats with very little leg room. Poor tinny sound quality from stereo. Auxiliary ports for phones are difficult to access in the front dash.

so far so good but...
I went from a 2011 Traverse which I loved until it died at 91k miles to this because hubby wouldn't buy me another unreliable Traverse. I have the LT 2.0 Turbo, glad I got the bigger engine it is well worth it especially weighed down. Pleasantly surprised it came with a tow hitch for a luggage rack or light kayak trailer. The turbo makes it fun to drive and it has just enough bells and whistles for my liking I don't like an overcomplicated car. I have 5000 miles on it and my only complaint is the size it is a bit too small for me and the front seats are too shallow. I really can't imagine taking a family road trip comfortably in this thing. Thankfully I paid $8000 under MSRP because the 2021 models had just come out so my current trade in value is what I paid for the car so I won't lose a penny trading after 10 months I just have to figure out what to buy bigger because nothing has good reviews. All in all a nice car for the money if the size fits your needs.

Love It!
I purchased my CoCo in May of 2020, got a great deal, discounts and no money down. I'm happy with the purchase price. This is my 2nd SUV I used to have a Nissan Xterra years ago, so I know what to expect and what I wanted. I got the MIdnight Edition...it's all black everything. It looks really sharp, nice and I enjoy how it rides. It's roomy and comfortable for me, I'm 5'10 and it not a cramped ride. I always check out the backseat before purchasing, there was plenty of leg room. The only thing I don't like is the radio, it doesn't have steering wheel options. You have to change stations from the actual radio dash. I was putting the cheapest gas in it, but I was running out too fast, so I upgraded to mid and it lasts much longer. I also put in high grad every 6-8 weeks just because I feel like it helps it run better. Overall I'm very pleased with my Equinox.

Blind Spot Indicator Issues - Poor GM Support
My 2020 Equinox Premier started to have problems with the blind spot indicator when the regular OEM tires were replaced with snows in November. Multiple trips to the GM dealer and involvement of the GM "Ambassador" did not resolve the problem. The indicator became undependable flashing on and off for no apparent reason. As there were no diagnostic codes GM headoffice refused to allow my dealer to continue to perform warranty repairs. I researched this issue and was convinced it was the wheels or the snows. The Bolt had similar issues and a warranty fix The tires and wheels were recommended by GM Dealer. Well in March I put the original tires on and guess what? No problems. I have been dealing with Syed Qureshi at GM Headoffice but have been unable to get through and he does not return my calls. All I want is for this problem to be recorderd so next fall I can pursue it further. Common GM you cannot sell a car that does not work for winter snows. I am a 30 year GM customer and am reassessing whether I will ever buy a GM car again, Amd as far as I am concerned whole Ambassador program is useless as far as I am concerned. Wonder if anyone from GM will contact me. I doubt it

2020 Equinox LT 2.0 Turbo
We have a 2017 Jeep Renegade 2.5 liter. As a comparison the Equinox has more interior and storage space. The 2.0 liter turbo has, 252 HP vs 180 HP, 70 more HP and more torque, plus 107 inch wheelbase. The vehicle has power an adjustable lift gate. Other vehicles in this class don't have these features at the price point. Mother-in-law drives the 2020 Equinox. The Jeep Renegade has more zip than the Chevy 1.5 Turbo. I still prefer the Equinox space, even in the 1.5 turbo. Other vehicles have more "styling" but the 2020 Equinox 2.0 L is a better value in it's class by far, unless you move up to a Blazer, engine base, 2.0 L turbo, 112 inch wheelbase.

Transmission issues
My husband bought this for me in december of 2019. I absolutely love it from the heated seats, spacious interior, spicy orange color, it was everything I wanted in a car until now. Car started jumping and jerking so we took it to our dealership and they told us it's the transmission. Mind you it literally has 25,000 miles on it. So dissatisfied. They cant even fix it because they have no cars on the lot to loan us. C'mon chevy. Were very loyal customers. Please get it together.

Love vehicle , plenty of power and a ton of safety features. Only draw back is low quality interior materials and below average seat comfort, everything else exceeds expectations.
Ticking time bomb
The engine starts ticking after 18,000 back breaks squeal from not releasing all the way horrible gas mileage in the winter and a very stiff ride you feel every bump i got rid of my 2020 equinox after a little over a year

BEWARE LEAKING TRANSMISSION -2020 AWD LT Equinox
BEWARE. MY 2020 AWD LT equinox is in the service center at the moment for fluid leaking out of the transmission. It has 500 miles on it and I have had it for 3 months!!!!! I wanted a reliable safe car. Very disappointed and frustrated.. I would give 0 stars..
Very satisfied
This is our 4th Equinox. The 2020 is slightly smaller than the 2017 we traded in but still roomy and comfortable. We like the convenience options like memory seats and the safety features such as lane departure and forward collision warning. The 1.5L engine has plenty of power for daily use. We are getting over 27 mpg in local driving, about 4 mpg better than our 2017. Would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Not thrilled
Bought my 2020 equinox less than two months ago. When I turn now, I hear a crunch/pop noise. Most likely CV Joints, and that shouldn’t be an issue with a vehicle this new. Not happy being that my Altima is 4 years old and has never had an issue. Waste of money. The gas mileage has been terrible as well. Now I’m stuck with a vehicle I’m completely unhappy with. Update:Still hate it. Update: motor blew at 60,000 miles randomly. Will never buy another.

Worst POS I have EVER owned!!!!!
If you thought about getting a 2020 equinox because they're on sale. DO NOT DO IT!! I have had this POS for less than 2 years and it's had major repairs to the electronics of the motor twice. There is a HORRIBLE shaking/high speed wobble right at about 30-35mph, loud clicking when accelerating followed by loss of power, lights coming on and off with breakdowns. When you take it to the dealership? They act like they can't feel the shimmy (maybe I would believe them if they were a damn corpse) can't make it click and even when I drove it and made it happen- they acted like it was "just a rattle somewhere and nothing to be concerned with". That clicking is what's making it break down and lose power you morons! Like I said run away- don't walk- RUN away from this POS. I am now in the process of filing lemon law lawsuit it's so bad!! Also the only reason they even get one damn star is I can't submit this review/warning without doing at least one....or they would get ZERO stars!!!!!!

Smooth Ride at a great price.
My family purchased the Equinox for a summer home in FL. I cannot stress more how smooth this vehicle handles. My wife owns a Mercedes GLC300, which we both enjoy. But I feel this vehicle drives very smoothly and information system with Apple play is so easy to use at half the cost.

Economic on gas, aceptable driving experience and a lot of features.(BSW, 4 wheel disk brakes w ABS and traction control, FDI, AEB, LDW, FCW, intellibeam, Automatic liftgate, Keyless start button, and more. I would like a little more transmission help, and a little more power from the VVT, DFI, 1.5 turbo motor.

One year later and still LOVE it!
I've had my Premier, 2.0L Equinox for 11 months, and I still love driving it. I went with the Premier because it offered features standard that the other models did not. This vehicle rides so smooth and has great pick up. Before this vehicle, I drove a Buick Enclave, with a V6. My Equinox has just as much pick up but is much more fun to drive. It's drives like a sporty car but with the comfort of an SUV. I love the Bose sound system, Apple Car Play, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and the ventilated seats. I'll be honest, that's the main reason I bought the Premier. Having cooling seats in Texas is a big plus! I keep my vehicles for a long time, so I hope this one holds up as well as my 2001 Trailblazer and 2011 Enclave.

UNCOMFORTABLE!
I've put 5k miles on the 2020 equinox, this is the most uncomfortable car I have ever driven and even worse to ride in, the seats are narrow, the sides stab you in the back, Everytime you get out the plastic seat airbag jabs you in the thigh so much I have a bruise, the passenger seat adjust lever is in a PISS POOR location so if you sit with your feet close to the seat it's buried in your calf! Everything is cheap looking plastic and scratches with the slightest bump of anything else even plastic The electronic gas pedal is horrible! You can barely touch it and it takes off like a rocket ship, and other times you step on it and it has a good 2-5 second lag before it even revs up, The lane assist turns the wheel WAY too much, so you bounce line to line, if it even sees the lines..... The pedestrian sensor picks someone up 40 ft away, but the back up sensors won't notify you if your too close at times, other times its way to notifying! the car reminds you to check your back seat every time you turn the car off, and honks at you for everything, there's also a red light in the driver's view that lights up if a car gets too close or a pedestrian is near the road, which is awesome, UNTIL the flashing red light lights up the ENTIRE windshield and reflects straight into your eyes so you can't see the hazard or person ahead...... The Bluetooth on the radio just stops playing in the middle of music, so you have to disconnect it and reconnect it a few times if your driving more than an hour, the speakers crackle, and sound way too over powered, radio gas no preset EQ's! The back up camera picture quality is about a 4/10 which is pretty good considering everything else is 0/10 The auto brights don't turn off with other cats on coming until they are way too close and already blinded The door seals don't seal which causes moisture on the windshield Over all I would rate this car at ZERO if possible, it's a over priced P. O. S BUY SOMETHING ELSE! while I was at the dearship I over heard they were having issues with the motors and they have had 3 comeback needing new engines.... So if you buy this make regular appointments with your local chiropractor before you sign the purchase agreement, and get every warranty available!
Terrible front seat comfort
Sorry to say this is the most uncomfortable vehicle I have ever driven. After an hour your legs and back are numb and hurting. I know it has a ton of adjustments but the narrow seats and design make it miserable. Drives nice and a little underpowered at stoplights but not terrible. Wish I would have went with the GMC Terrain as the ones I had driven were much more driver and passenger comfortable. Oh and how do I shut that back seat warning off every time I shut it off. Annoying at best.
Great SUV

Trouble From Day #1
The very first day I got it and fill the gas tank up, it's sputtered installed and died. I took it back to the dealer you had it for a couple of days and said they could not get it to do it for. Next time I filled up, I attempted to get on the interstate, it's sputtered installed and almost got me run over by a semi who hit his brakes behind me. After the fourth time to the dealer, they kept it for a month because replacement parts were not available and engineers were working on it. They replaced the fuel tank, Purge valve, and a canister. Finally, it worked fine. Then fuses for the smart entertainment center kept blowing in the console. Three separate fuses replaced. This car has been a constant problem, and it's the very first brand new car I purchased. Thanks chevrolet. Of all the cars I could have purchased, I got yours. And now I can't get rid of it. Do better. I highly advise anyone considering an equinox, to go find a different make. Chevrolet is not what it used to be.

Great car
I picked up my 2020 Equinox LT (fleet trim) as my company car more than a year ago and so far I have put >13,000 miles on it. Never had any issues, it is very comfortable and reasonably quiet on the highway, and drives great for what it is. I have rented many of its competitors and I think after the Mazda CX-5, it is the best car in its class.

Tire issues
The passenger side tires side wall keeps coming apart...have bought 4 tires in 1 year
Nice car,too bad they're Fubar...
On our 5 th Equinox lease, rides ok ,for the size of the vehical, good storage space, engine is efficient for the vehical, just don't pull a trailer long distance, only got barely 14 miles per gallon, that was a 4 x 8 trailer.Only drove #4 a 2020 about 2 miles when it started acting up ,sucking gas, warning lights, steering assist was jerking, took it back and insisted on a different one, after approx 4 months, the low tire warning lights are coming on and staying on, WTF?

Six Months and counting with this 2020 Chevy Equinox SUV...so far it's lived up to it's name...I feel a sense of comfort while driving it...I purchased it during the winter season and I'm not a winter person, so it kept me nice and warm and has gotten me through these snowy and icy weather we have here that used to keep me stranded for weeks at a time...but now that the weather has broken and is settling into summer...my "Dark Knight" as I like to call it... gets a bit Hot(not as in running hot, but as in inside temperature hot heat settings)...is how I have discovered that although the heat settings has a knob that turns from warm-hot to cool-cold...without using the air conditioner settings...it gets pretty hot with the feeling of hot air coming from the floor board, even with the windows down...of course I could turn on the air conditioner, however I have chronic asthma and it would cause me to become congested as if having a cold... don't get me wrong here though...it doesn't take away even a fraction of my ratings for my Chevy baby simply because it makes up 99-1/2% with it's other outstanding qualities...such as easy and smooth riding...handling...looks...driving... alerts...and comfortable cramp feelings felt in smaller SUV's...I see it like this...if the model I have which is I guess considered the Base Model(not really sure which it is, but either or it makes no difference to me because I'm not a picky or choosey as long as the vehicle I get is not only reliable but most important of all safe to drive my family, friends and myself, (and doesn't pose nor would intentionally cause harm to not only us but others on the same highways as us), from point A to point B and back for many many years to come)then I'm pretty sure that the higher up models are even more awesome...bottom line is I am quite satisfied with my 2020 Chevy Equinox SUV and I have no problem with highly recommending it to anyone who is in the market for an affordable SUV...

Traded it in with 9,500 miles
Computer chip went bad. Been there before with Chevy. I am done. I traded it in for a 2022 Mazda Equinox. More room, a few less tech feature in the Mazda Sport CX-9: not equipped with SiriusXM; no remote sensor to lock/unlock like the Chevy; old style gas tank cap and under the dash release button. Mazda more roomy. Got the Mazda for 33k off the lot after strong negotiations with the Mazda dealer. Last year for the CX-9, new model bigger and cost more.

Best Equinox yet
Just do your homework and read reviews. Obviously, test drive. Read specs. You'll love it! I continue to enjoy my 2020 Equinox LT...it has all the nice features I like, is very comfortable, and rides so smoothly; handles real well on the highway....Love this vehicle!
