My wife fell in love with the Equinox in White Diamond. Lots of room inside. Well laid out dash. Shift smoothly. We went with a 4 cyl. Great on gas mileage a little lite in power.

It's not a luxury car. It's not huge. It does not have powerful engine. It doesn't have a lot of fancy gadgets on it. I consider it to be a great vehicle for commuting, for a single person, or for a couple with no, 1 or two smaller kids. It is very reliable, fairly comfortable, easy to park, and very economical to drive. After 1 year: We still love the car. It turns 6 years old this year and has nearly 65,000 miles on it. It has been 100% perfectly reliable, no repairs or problems. The fuel economy is better than expected, a pleasant surprise. We like that it is easy to get in and get out, and while not luxurious, it is fairly comfortable. The negatives: There are only two. The first is that it needs better soundproofing. Too much road noise comes through. A lot of it comes from the tires, and I've learned from other owners that there are several tire models available that will substantially reduce it. We will be replacing the tires sometime in the next year and reducing tire noise will be one of the main factors in the decision. The other complaint is that the side view mirrors are too small and do not show enough of the blind spot, meaning that extra caution must be taken when changing lanes because it is possible for vehicles to be blind spots but not show in the mirrors. Would we buy the car again? Yes. The good gas mileage, the fantastically low cost of ownership, the high reliability, the easy handling, and the easy parking make it ideal for a commuter car and for all kinds of local driving. This is what we use it for. It would be great for college students or high school students, although they might not think it is cool enough. People who need to haul around a large family, a lot of passengers, or a lot of stuff would be better off with something bigger. These factors plus the road noise also make it less than ideal for long distance trips and vacations. June 2022 - Still delighted. No problems with it. Nearing 70,000 miles and will be replacing tires for the 1st time soon. Will inspect brakes at that time for wear and may replace pads.

Good Car But A Lot Of Problems!

I had gotten this car at the end of 2021 from a dealership. When I had gotten it, it was sitting at 165,000 miles. And I know that with getting a vehicle at that age and with that many miles problems would pop up. But I've had to get it fixed over three times just snice I got it and I haven't had it for more than six months. I still have my temp tags on because whenever I get it fixed and I'm about to get my plates something else happens. So far since having this vehicle I dropped so much money on it and the car itself was $12,750. Frankly I don't think it's worth the price. It might not be just the car that's the problem but it could also be the dealership that I bought it from but the problems with this car is ridiculous! Right now my car is in the shop because the timing change went bad. Now I'm not the best with understanding cars but I do know that there should not be this many problems with this car. When I got it there was no oil. And I've seen on here that its apparently a problem with oil being used excessively. I've decided that once I've paid off my loan I'm trading it in because the maintenance is too much for me to handle. I feel like it would be a good car if there weren't so many mils on it. My sister and my Aunt both have this car and they love it. I haven't heard from them about the problems they are having but my sister is the reason why I got this car because I drove it and loved it but its not worth all the problems.
