Impressive Truck
This truck has exceeded my expectations. This is my first small truck, having previously owned several full sized pickups. I was especially concerned that the engine would not provide the performance of the V8’s in my previous trucks. I have been pleasantly surprised. The interior has been upgraded considerably. However, unless you have need of the higher performance suspension that comes with the Z71 option, I would opt out of this choice as it is considerably stiffer than that of the full-size pickup which presents a harsher ride. Finally, there is considerably more cabin noise in this vehicle when compared to my previous full size pickup.

2024 Colorado LT 2WD, Turbomax
310 HP and 430 Torque ratings are a great combination for this truck, at 4,400# the performance of my Colorado. With 8 speed transmission the acceleration is equal to or better than, a friends GMC 1500 Denali 4x4 with 5.3 / 10 speed transmission, 3.73 ratio. The best part is that I consistantly get better gas mileage, than the EPA ratings. Doing the math bares this out. For example 26-28 highway has been fairly common, mixed driving has never been less than 24 MPG...ever. Having had 2 Ram 1500's in the past with excellant service, and all around performance, going back to leaf springs, felt like a step backwards...not to worry ride and handling are very good, better than expected....equal to or better than the Coil soring suspensions on the 2024 Tacoma's that I test drove.

Disappointed
Owned the truck for almost a year now and loved it until about 12000 km. That's when the engine starting making a lugging sound at low rpm making it quite annoying on the highway. It's slowly getting worse and I notice it during city driving now. Techs can't figure out what's wrong with it but do admit it doesn't sound right. Even took a new Colorado off the lot and admitted that one didn't make the sound. Now I have a truck that's not enjoyable to drive anymore and GM isn't doing much to help me out. 1st and last GM vehicle I'll own. Also read the horror stories on Reddit. Get a Ranger or Tacoma instead. I wish I did.

Do not buy a Chevy. Turbo Max issues.
Worst experience buying a new truck. Don’t buy Chevy. Bunch of warranty issues with Turbo Max. The truck spent more time at the dealership getting fixed in the first month then in my possession. After 4 months a multiple attempts times in service the truck still isn’t running right. Customer Service is not good. Wish I stayed with Toyota and regret buying a Chevy.

Worst vehicle.
Vehicle is the worst I’ve ever owned. Poor quality. Fender flares barely attached. Broken parts. Roof dented when taking it through the Carwash. Broken trim pieces. Got wrong parts in. Waiting for Chevy engineers to get back to the dealer because they can’t even figure everything that is wrong with it. GM is stating that different departments aren’t respond to them so they can’t do anything and I should go to the BBB. They did offer me Chevy points to shut me up. Like some Chevy accessories will make up for this. Truck has 1700 miles on it. Month in the shop so far… I really like the truck and want a non-defective one. It’s not worth the heartache. DO NOT BUY THIS TRUCK.
