She might look good be it doesn't cut it. Its not a rock its a pebble. GM should take this toy and work it on the farm and on gravel roads before they talk. Its a sad day when you have to go and get a tractor to pull it. back end to light, poor electronics, poor design over all, they sould go back to the board on this one, water leaks, poor steering, poor warranty work, three weeks the repair shop was enough to leave it there period. GM ought to be paying you to advertize. that's the only change.

My ‘02 is 20 years old. Most comfy vehicle I’ve owned. 173,000 miles. Have had over 100 vehicles, 50 motorcycles, 2 planes, Humvee, Rally Fighter, euro and Asian and like this one as well or better than any I’ve used. I like to trade. But I’ll keep this one. Very handy, comfy. Carry expensive testing equipment that doesn’t do well on a rough ride. No problems so far.

I bought my 02 Avalanche new October of 2001. It had just been delivered to the dealership here in the San Francisco Bay area. It was shortly after 9/11 so the incentive was 0 percent financing. I paid it off in less than a year. it now has 345k miles on it and it runs like new. I change the oil on it every 3k miles. Same engine and trans NO PROBLEMS with engine or trans. Regular trans service every 50k miles. Brakes when needed. The only major repair was the differential. Did that at 325k. With OEM, NOS Parts Truck runs excellent and the exterior looks great. I use Maguires plastic rubber and Vinyl conditioner every 3 months or so on the exterior cladding and i did purchase all the cladding from a parts truck just in case for the future. I plan to keep the truck until i die. Will never ever sell it.
